Hi everyone, I’m trying to use Anthropic/Claude through OpenClaw and I’m running into this error:

“LLM request rejected: Third-party apps now draw from extra usage, not plan limits. We've added a credit to your organization to get you started. Ask your workspace admin to claim it and keep going.”

Here’s my situation:

  • I’m using an Anthropic token inside OpenClaw
  • This is under an organization workspace
  • I am not the Owner, but I do have delegated admin permissions
  • The Owner already went into the workspace settings and enabled extra usage
  • My seat appears as Standard
  • Even after that, OpenClaw is still showing the same rejection message

So my question is:

Is OpenClaw being treated by Anthropic as a third-party app that cannot rely on normal Claude plan usage, even if extra usage is enabled?

And more specifically:

  • Do I need to use a Claude Console / API key instead of the token I currently added to OpenClaw?
  • Could this still fail because my workspace seat is Standard instead of Premium?
  • Has anyone successfully used OpenClaw with an Anthropic workspace account under this new extra-usage model?

Any guidance would be really appreciated.
