This one is a model resolution failure at the provider, not a gateway crash.

Most likely causes for that exact error:

  1. Provider/key mismatch (common): using a Kimi Coding key with moonshot/... models, or vice versa.
  • Moonshot API models use moonshot/...
  • Kimi Coding uses kimi-coding/...
    (keys/endpoints are not interchangeable)

  1. Endpoint mismatch: key is for CN endpoint but config points to .ai (or opposite).

  2. Stale fallback list: primary + fallbacks include IDs your provider account doesn’t currently expose.
