I have actually uploaded that skill folder on my server and asked the agent to compare it with the files i had already and then add only the relevant points to my memory files while skip the redundant. It didn't add many stuff ( something in MEMORY.md and SOUL.md and the security.sh script if i remember correctly).
You can try to ask your agent to just compare and show you the differences and then decide i guess
