I saw this yesterday and it was on my list to hunt down who was working on it. I guess that makes things easy!

I looked at the repo but didn't really get how this works. Does that just allow you to ask Clawd to do a quick vocab study session? Or is that something that would take over the whole Clawd personality / workflow?

yea! personally i have it set up in a separate chat in telegram so i don't pollute my main agent 🙂

it's not perfect yet, i kinda yolocoded it then got distracted by other things, but the key feature now (for me) is TTS and STT as well as pronunciation feedback, and just that the bot can "natively" speak the language and help you learn stuff you wanna learn

I need some hardcore pronunciation prep before going to China for CNY. Last time I kept calling my gf's sister purple sweet potatoe instead of her name 😂

thanks! opus 4.5 is IME best for writing these (vs codex which is best for code). where are you visiting in China? I still wanna go later this year...

nice! not yet. i'm hoping to go for the first time in Q2 or so 🙂 also Chengdu for Sichuan food 😄

It's very modern / clean and the people are nice, I had a great time! And Sichuanese food is elite haha I ate like an absolute pig last time 😂
If you have time Chongqing near Chengdu is pretty cool to visit too
