Got a few changes to keep things clean around here.
#self-promotion is a thing now
Got a project, a skill, links to your stuff? That goes in #self-promotion. Rule 8 has been added, any self-promo anywhere else (yes, including DMs) gets removed and you get a mute or a ban. No exceptions.
#showcase-old ≠ #self-promotion
Showcase is for cool stuff you and your agent are actually doing together. Automations, workflows, weird experiments. Not for shilling your skill, dropping socials, or soft-pitching anything. Show the work. First offence is a mute. Keep doing it and you lose access to both #showcase-old and #self-promotion.
No recruiting. At all. Ever.
Not in channels, not in DMs, not "casually mentioning you're hiring." Already rule 1 but we're saying it louder now.
New ping roles!
I've added a few new ping roles in id:customize — pick what you want to be notified for: <@&1471741345306644545>, <@&1471741366311583785>, or <@&1471741377191608373> from Shadow (stuff on my mind, bc why not)
Stricter channel usage
We're going to be stricter about using the right channels from now on, and posts in the wrong place will be removed. Please help us keep things organized 🙏

We now have all the channel plugins separated into their own posts in #1474434870259224723! I would highly recommend going and either sending a message or right-click -> follow post on the channel plugins that you're interested in, and you may occasionally see maintainers drop in there for the plugins they work on :)
#old-channels is still available but locked for you to reference past messages in if you need.

In the interest of transparency, we've open sourced all our community policies and guidelines, and everything that we (the <@&1477360613125787678>) use internally. Everything except for trial moderators and moderation logs will be there and updated
We've also recently restructured our team hierarchy, and that's all documented there as well.

We will never do that. The project is open source and non-commercial. Use the official website at https://openclaw.ai.
Be sceptical of folks trying to build commercial wrappers on top of it.
And a reminder, any crypto discussion is banned from this server, and will result in yourself getting banned.

Hi,
Starting April 4 at 12pm PT / 8pm BST, you’ll no longer be able to use your Claude subscription limits for third-party harnesses including OpenClaw. You can still use them with your Claude account, but they will require extra usage, a pay-as-you-go option billed separately from your subscription.
Your subscription still covers all Claude products, including Claude Code and Claude Cowork. To keep using third-party harnesses with your Claude login, turn on extra usage for your account. This will be enforced April 4 starting with OpenClaw, but this policy applies to all third-party harnesses and will be rolled out to more shortly (read more).
To make the transition easier, we’re offering a one-time credit for extra usage equal to your monthly subscription price. Redeem your credit by April 17. We’re also introducing discounts when you pre-purchase bundles of extra usage (up to 30%).
We’ve been working to manage demand across the board, but these tools put an outsized strain on our systems. Capacity is a resource we manage carefully and we need to prioritize our customers using our core products. You will receive another email from us tomorrow where you’ll have the ability to refund your subscription if you prefer.

We’ve seen reports of fake accounts pretending to be Krill or otherwise acting like official OpenClaw helpers.
Please be careful:
- Don’t trust random DMs claiming to be support
- Don’t run commands or install anything from unverified accounts
- Don’t share tokens, API keys, auth codes, or config files
- If something feels off, ask in the server and check with the mod team
If you spot an impersonator, please report it to the mods/admins so we can deal with it.
Tiny support crustaceans are real. Scammers are not 🦐

Three updates:

#showcasehas been updated into a forum channel and is now the place where advertising or self-promotion is allowed. Promotion, project posts, and showcase-style threads are fine there, as long as it still follows our rules (e.g. no crypto). Discord invites are still not allowed anywhere, including#showcase, and all other server rules still apply. We may even be looking in there to showcase some projects in events like the Weekly Claw! -
You can now claim the Clawtributors role by linking your GitHub account through the Discord settings, and then using /claim on @restive flame, instead of having to ping moderators for it!

If you would like to be pinged for things like new betas, you can go to id:customize and grab the <@&1503801512294486217> role there! Our maintainers will start to use this when new betas of OpenClaw are up, or if there are new PRs or features that need feedback or testing!
