FACEIT Leagues don’t feel like a true Contenders replacement mainly because there’s almost no official promotion or visibility. Contenders worked because it had its own official Twitch and FACEIT channels, regular broadcasts, and was promoted across Overwatch esports platforms. Right now, relying mostly on co-streamers makes FACEIT Leagues feel unofficial and easy to miss. Streaming matches on official channels and promoting them properly — or even rebranding and reusing the old Contenders channels for FACEIT Leagues, similar to how OWL was rebranded — would instantly make Tier 2 feel more legitimate and visible to players, orgs, and fans.
