Distortion and Warp Blast

  • Distortion now build up smoothly over 2 seconds and are given when Wind Slash/Main Attack hits an enemy instead of having a hard 2 second cooldown.
    -# This means that if they're used before 2 seconds pass they'll give the portion of Distortion they built before hitting an enemy, giving half of their normal amount if they deal damage every 1 second for example

Boltslinger Ultimate

  • No longer gives Arrow Storm homing; instead, Arrow Storm fires 2.5 times as many arrows
  • Now removes Leap cooldown

✨ ... About VFX Changes

We have made huge adjustments to most abilities visual effects in the game!

A large amount of them are up to 50% faster in terms of animation frames making them live half as long, we also optimized as many of the model structures as we could such that the fewest amount of entities are spawned and this has led to specific effects getting a reduction of a factor of 10 in entity counts reducing client-side lag for specific players
Alongside that, we also reduced the scale of some abilities (e.g Sacred Surge, Marked, Meteor) to help with overall visibility

We will continue to adjust things based on that in tandem with working on some player preference settings in the background!

  • Implemented Omni directional Hop

-# Your leap and hop will now jump in whichever direction you are moving rather than just where you are facing! This means that you can be looking forwards and do a quick backwards leap to get away from danger

  • Tweaked the spawning of mobs in the Graffiti Defend in Fruma Foray West
  • Fixed an issue that ended your lootrun in a certain section of Liftal Castle

  • Updated Lacerate VFX to be thinner and translucent

  • Updated Smoke Bomb model to be dark gray instead of green

  • Made the light sigil in ophanim invisible from the inside
  • Added a custom visual effect for lightbender's sunflare ability

  • Made exploding puppets use the new arrow bomb visual explosion as opposed to meteor's

⚖️ Balance Changes

Abilities

Warrior

  • Reduced the damage on the initial hit of Fallen's Ultimate (3000% → 1500%)
  • Bak'als Grasp now blocks Emboldening Cry
  • Changed Radiance Paladin requirement (10 → 11)

-# Notes:
This is done to make radiance more exclusive to paladin only since it is one of the most potent buffs in the game, can still easily be accessed on a full paladin tree by going straight down the tree and picking either emboldening cry or cleansing breeze as one of the optional nodes

  • Massacre no longer blocks Sacred Surge
  • Enraged Blow now blocks Radiance

-# The recent massacre block was also done to prevent this specific interaction where fallen, the dps archetype could pick up the strongest support abilities from paladin, that caused some loss in flexibility in the tree, so this block is done to just properly block radiance from fallen once and for all.

  • Aspect of the Returning Javelin: Also increases the range of bloodied armory alongside melee range.

Archer

New Node! Shrieking Arrows

Increases Arrow Storm and Phantom Ray's damage.

  • Transience damage bonus has been moved to Shrieking Arrows.
  • Divine Intervention fire rate bonus from casting Arrow Storm has been nerfed (2.25x → 1.5x) but it's duration has been increased. (0.9s → 1.35s)
  • The bonus gained in Angelic Ascension lasts 2.5x as long.
  • Traveler has been removed.
  • Various nodes have been moved around the Boltslinger tree (Vigilant Sentries, Courier's Edict, Parting Gift, Bouncing Bomb and Feedback Loop)
  • The aspect Boltslinger's Embodiment of Rended Skies has had the bonus attack speed from casting Arrow Storm decreased. (3x → 1.8x)

Mage

  • Time dilation max movement speed bonus has been increased. (100% → 200%)
  • Influx Shift archetype requirement has been increased. (6 → 10)
  • Portal to the Beyond has got an archetype requirement. (12)
  • Vacuokinesis damage has been increased (80% → 100%)
  • Wind Slash has been renamed to Etheric Slash and had its description updated.
  • Windcharged has been renamed to Void Acceleration.
  • Aspect of Dimension's Door now also increases Displacement's maximum range by (+5/8.5/12/15)

Assassin

  • Various nodes have been moved around the Acrobat tree (Dextreous Hands, Braced Impact and Petal Storm)

Major IDs

  • Added compatibility between Windcharged and Wavebreak Major ID
  • The Slow Boil Major ID now doubles Corrupted's duration.
  • Dauntless Inferno has had the resistance bonus and damage increased. (20% → 25% and 125% → 150% respectively)
  • Superconductor has had its damage increased. (225% → 270%)
