THE CANYON COLOSSUS RAID

#
  • Welcome to the 3rd raid sh_smug ! To unlock the raid , you first need to complete "the thanos depository" , "the envoy part 1-2" , "dwarves and doguns part 1-4" and "the breaking point" quests and be combat 97 minimum to enter the raid.
    • You only need to complete "the breaking point" quest once on any class. Subsequent classes only require lvl 95 to enter the raid.
  • Cost to enter the raid: 1 tol rune.

  • Here is a list of recommended archetypes and weapons for this raid. While these are some of the best for it , it is better to run whatever you find fun. Having fun>meta sh_smug

lvl 95:

Warrior recommended archetypes: fallen

CHALLENGE 1

Lava extinguish room

#
  • When spawning into the challenge , there will be a water pond on the left. Right click to pick up a bucket of water.
  • There will be a 60 second countdown. Sometimes lava will flow down. Right click a lava source while having a water bucket to extinguish it , reducing the countdown more. Failing to extinguish the lava on time will add a fail counter. Failing to extinguish the lava 5 times will cause a raid fail.
    • ☠️ In guild raids lava flows spawns faster after one is extinguished.
  • Once the first 60 seconds is up , a platform will rise and 1 player has to stand on it. A few seconds later a miniboss will spawn , when it is alive it will cause the lava flow to spawn faster and reducing the countdown timer drop.
    • It is recommended either the tankiest player or the highest DPS player to hold the platform.
  • Once another 60 seconds is up a 2nd platform will spawn. The player holding the 1st platform should head to the 2nd platform which will spawn another miniboss.
  • When the last 60 seconds is counted down to 0 , the challenge completes and every player heads to the exit.
    ⚠️ extra raid fail condition: the raid fails if 5 lava source are not extinguished on time.

Hold the platforms room

#
  • There are 2 platforms , the objective is to hold each one for at least 60 seconds.
    • It is best to split up into 2's , preferably both side have at least 1 AOE clearer.

  • There will be many mobs that will deal annoying amounts of knockback in an attempt to knock the players off the platforms.
  • If 1 platform isn't being held , the other platform will spew lava particles then 1.5 seconds later spawn spikes that knock the player off the platform and deal 40% hp TRUE DAMAGE.
    • If you see lava particles , hop off the platform or movement spell away to prevent getting hit by the spikes.
    • ☠️ In guild raids spikes deal 65% hp TRUE DAMAGE instead.

CHALLENGE 2

Escort the stone idiot room

  • At the start of the room , there will be a sleeping golem , right click it to start the challenge and active the golem.
  • The golem will clear the path by destroying boulders. Some enemies will sometimes spawn in and attack but the main enemy is the molten monster. When it spawns it will first target players then after 3 seconds it will start to attack the golem , attempting to kill it. If the golem dies , the raid fails , so kill the molten monsters ASAP.
    • ☠️ In guilds raids , the golem's health is HALVED.
  • There will be some blue doors that will block the path. Find the switches and right click them to open the door.
  • Halfway through , the path will split into 2 and there will be a 2nd golem needing to be activated. It is best for 2 players to split into the 2nd path while the other 2 players stay at the main path.
  • Once both golems reach the end of the room alive , the challenge is completed.

Maze room

#
  • When spawning in , all 4 players will be stuck in a maze and need to find the exit.
  • Some wings will spawn in at the start of the challenge after a few seconds. 1 player should take the wings and try to find the exit and tell the other players where it is.

  • Below here is a map of the maze. It is recommended for the wing taker to check RED path first , while the other 3 players check BLUE path first.
  • When an exit is found , say in chat which path the exit is in and if you have it , use wynntils and open the map and right click the blue arrow to quickly share the coordinates to the exit.
    • tech: when in a pre-made party , it is faster to call out exit locations in "code style" instead. For example saying "BR" which means the exit is on blue path on the right. The callout locations are listed on the map.
  • There will be some stone golems obstructing each path. Kill them to continue advancing.
  • Once all 4 players reach the exit , the challenge is completed.

CHALLENGE 3

Elder seals room

  • There are 4 seals that are required to be activated. These are found in the miniboss , parkour and boulder run challenges. Find the seals and right click to activate them , activate all 4 to complete the challenge.
  • Straight ahead will be an elder. 1 player must head there to defend the elder from meteors.

  • To defend the elder , head inside the area where the elder is and hold sneak to shoot a beam and destroy the meteors. The elder has 5 hp. When a meteor hits the elder , they will lose 1 hp and be invincible for 2.5 seconds. The raid fails if the elder reaches 0 hp.
    • ☠️ In guild raids the elder's hp is reduced to 4 hp.
  • For the bottom left miniboss , simply kill it to spawn the seal and right click it to activate it.
  • For the top right miniboss , attacking the axon will launch you and the miniboss into a tiny platform. The miniboss deals 0 damage in this phase so no worry about it. When it is defeated you and the miniboss will be launched into another area for a fight. Defeat it and stay near the miniboss to be launched to the seal and activate it.
  • For the top left parkour , you have to right click the flame first otherwise you can't activate the seal. While holding the flame your spells are disabled and walk speed is reduced to 0. Halfway through the parkour a checkpoint will be activated so if you fall you will respawn there instead when you retake the flame. Finish the parkour at the end and activate the seal.
    • Jump height items can massively help make the parkour easier.
  • For the bottom right boulder run , you have to right click the flame first otherwise you can't activate the seal. While holding the flame your spells are disabled and your walk speed and jump height is set to 0. simply get to the end to activate the seal. Getting hit by a boulder will send you to the start so be careful about that.
    • Tip: stay close to the right or left corner so the boulders will almost never hit you.

phase 1:

Note that attack names aren't official

  • Giga punch: moves its right hand abit backwards , then does a huge punch knocking players hit by it.
    • If this is the 1st attack used , stand on the left side platforms to avoid the attack.
  • Sword stab: moves its left hand abit backwards , then stabs its sword in a direction dealing multuple instances of damage when hit.
  • Headbonk: headbonks infront of its head , knocking players off on hit
  • Slam of the colossus: raises its sword targeting a random row , then slams its sword destroying a row of platforms it targets. The platforms will appear again after 20 seconds.
  • Triggered: the boss leans abit to the front and the colossus's eyes turn red , then shoots lazer beams from its eyes that causes a small explosion.
  • Cleansing light: spawns a blue sigil on every players currrent position , after a while the boss raises its sword and spawns a light beam at every blue sigil that lingers for abit.
  • Volcanic impact: spawns a set of meteors that launch towards an area with the most players.
  • Ancient summoning: raises its left hand and summons a random type of minion.
    • Colossal shards: shoots lazers at players , nonexistent threat.
    • Onyx axons: shotguns the nearest player.
    • Pesky Peridotites: heals the boss occasionally.
  • Colossal sweep: most of the platforms will turn red , indicating where this attack will hit. The boss will prepare to swing then after a few seconds , sweeps its huge sword across the arena
    • To dodge the sweep , head to the back of the arena to the platforms that aren't red , or movement spell/jump over the sword.

phase 2:

  • Earth-shattering blade: the boss raises its right hand and summons a slow moving giant sword to move towards a random player. When it finds a player near it , it shows a red sigil telegraph then 1.5 seconds later the sword drops , spawning a shockwave and knockbacks players hit directly by the sword.
  • Beam of destruction: the colossus's eyes turn green , and launches a beam at a back platform , permanently destroying it.

extra things to note:

  • It is HIGHLY recommended to kill the pesky peridotite enemies as soon as possible if you are alone in the fight as it will heal the boss rapidly in large amounts.
  • It is possible to bait the shattering blade to the back of the arena if most players head to the back of the arena for a while then head back to the boss and deal as much damage as possible to prevent it from attacking for a short while.

  • Enraged beyond repair: its cooldown between attack is MASSIVELY REDUCED.
  • Earth-shattering blade: spawns instantly as its 1st attack.
  • Giga punch: getting hit by this attack now reduces HEFF by 70% for a few seconds.
  • Sword stab
  • Headbonk
  • Slam of the colossus
  • Triggered
  • Cleansing light: the boss raises its sword and spawns the light beam much faster.
  • Volcanic impact
  • Ancient summoning
  • Colossal sweep: surviving the hit now inflicts -200/5 mana Regen for a VERY long while.

  • Flaming cataclysm: spawns 2 volcanos on its side , every 30 seconds it takes turns to activate a volcano.
    • The right volcano when activated will show a "volcano" icon then it spews many flames on the front of the platforms.
    • The left volcano when activated will show a "red hand" icon before launching meteors.
