🔧 Item Rebalances

Ingredient Rebalances

While we really like the high degree of customizability that crafted items offer, it has been clear that crafted armor and crafted accessories are way too powerful. With these changes, we aim to reduce the higher end power of crafted items and introduce more variety. Note that crafted items will still be generally better than non-crafted items, but the difference will be less egregious overall.

Poison Adjustments

In the previous game update, the increased potency of poison disrupted intended game progression and reduced the relative viability of other playstyles, especially in the early game. To restore balance and encourage diverse gameplay, we unfortunately have to reduce poison values across all relevant sources. Moving forward, we intend to keep a closer eye on the balance with poison in regards to enemy health values.

Miscellaneous Changes

Rebalanced the Kill Streak powder special

  • Duration for all levels: 7s -> 10s
  • Bonus Damage per kill:
    • Tier 1: 3% -> 4%
    • Tier 2: 4.5% -> 6%
    • Tier 3: 6% -> 8%
    • Tier 4: 7.5% -> 10%
    • Tier 5: 9% -> 12%

Rebalanced the Rally major ID

  • Self-healing: 10% -> 7.5%
  • Now requires Cleansing Breeze to use

We want to push the Rally major ID towards a direction is only accessible with some investments in more support oriented archetypes, rather than being universally used.

Rebalanced the Sorcery major ID

  • Activation Chance: 30% -> 25%

Adjusted the Hellfire major ID

  • Now activates Bash modifiers without needing Boiling Blood unlocked

Adjusted the Coagulate major ID's velocity values

We've felt that while Inferno hasn't been exactly underperforming in the strength department, its stat lineup has become well-aged and had a few things that didn't need to be there. While this comes at the expense of removing 2 rolls, the general power is kept the same for the weapon's purpose, and ends up with a much cleaner set of IDs. This also makes it easier to roll in the future.
