Following up on my previous post (https://discord.com/channels/143852930036924417/1324560198240567327), I do have at least some stuff to get off my chest with part 2.
Pros:
- I like that the 3nd/4rd stage of the quest leads you to think you will be doing stealth to get into the armory, then suddenly SURPRISE! Combat because they are closing the gate.
- I at least like the "burn down the door with lava" puzzle in theory! Practicality on the other hand...
- I really like the war machine puzzle in theory! Practicality on the other hand...
- The geothermal generator section was relatively satisfying, though I can't speak to the combat since I'm level 105. Let's just focus on the cut scenes/dialogue, both of which I liked, particularly Axelus calling the dwarves hypocrites.
- The stealth bit in the palace was at least "okay", but you have to wonder how they can't see you when they seem to be looking right down the hall.
Cons: - quest item required to start🤨? But the previous quest already seems to be a prereq, so wouldn't this be an opportunity to phase out a quest item?
- I got confused on how to enter the meeting. The portal is not clearly marked and it seemed like the Dogun Chieftain went a different direction from where the portal actually was
- burning down the door to get into the armory was an interesting take, but I couldn't consistently get it to break the blocks.
- The armory puzzle would have been fun, except for a few issues (which it seems like others have also noticed #1195572040099442749 message ):
- Most annoyingly, the spot you need to click to insert ammo is too small, I kept missing it when running around the room like a madman
- If you right-click to rotate a cannon and then immediately left click, it will shoot the original direction instead of the new direction
- the "reset" for the puzzle wasn't working reliably. On some occasions instead of offering a reset, Axelus would just explain the mechanics of each ammo type
- Relatedly, the timer keeps going even if you leave or die, so I couldn't even force a reset with /class
