Serviced by a fleet of stately NER 1001s, the Rattleholt & Newside Railway Co.'s newest freight terminal serves the busy steel mill at Tetchaster. A loaded ore train pulls gently into the outside platforms while a freshly unloaded train pulls away for its return journey. Meanwhile a bolster train makes its way along the inside line ready to be loaded. A fully laden Steel Train is seen on the freight Mainline, bound for the Metal Workshops at New Lovbeth. Behind it is an empty Engineering train making its way north to the docks, while loaded vans can be seen moving southward, bound for the many feeder industries beyond the Mill.
Further north, the New Muntham Steel Mill, first served by the R&NR shortly after its inception in 1845, continues its steadfast service. The original Horse-Drawn tramway still hauls the Mill's modest ore supply today, 17 years later. At the loading platform, a coal train has just unloaded and pulls away southward towards one of the company's many colliery stations. On the far left, a futureproof double-track line runs south towards New Muntham Stamp and Plate. Although currently serviced by a single 1001 class, R&NR director Barbara Hamilton has high hopes for the future of the route

At Market Newside, a Crampton Locomotive sits at the head of a stopping service to Rattleholt. One of the first passenger stations opened by R&NR, Market Newside sits at the centre of a bustling city and is served by a fast mail service in addition to the well-furnished passenger trains. The city itself is connected by R&NR's vast fleet of Hancock steam buses.
Here we see the city of Rattleholt itself, home to the R&NR's headquarters. Although the Company had always intended to expand Eastwards, Ratteholt found itself expanding so quickly that by the time an act of Parliament could be pushed through for an extension to Rewholm the city's sprawl had cut off any possibility for the main station to grow without severe urban disruption. Consequently, Rattleholt South Station was constructed and a shuttle service commissioned between the two stations to allow for continuous travel. At Rattleholt South, a Crampton-hauled stopping service bound for the Tipbury Branch departs from Platform 3, while a Lady of the Lake class hauls the Rewholm express on the Up Line.
Here we see the busy Kingston Junction, where the main and freight lines split. Originally a simple 2 track station, the introduction of the fast mail service between Rattleholt and Market Newside required the expansion of the station to accommodate a set of fast lines. One of these services can be seen thundering towards Kingston Level Crossing on the Up towards Rattleholt, while a loaded coal train trundles Northward to New Muntham Steelworks
Worthy of particular note is the Bay Platform at Kingston Chilsell, which was built shortly after the station was expanded to provide additional labour to the industrial town of New Muntham. Hauled by a team of horses, this short branch line nonetheless turns a small profit and has helped to ensure New Muntham's industrial future.
The next stop on the mainline is Kircaster, a small town sandwiched between Kingston Chilsell and Rattleholt. Although in a prime location, the local authority has found its growth choked by its more urban neighbours and the steep slopes of the mountain it borders. At the station, a passenger train loads on the Down platform.
East of Rattleholt sits the extension to Rewholm. Already plagued by poor foresight in Rattleholt itself, the line soon encountered further difficulties when it came to the topography between the two cities. With insufficient space to lay fast lines at East Tipbury and Dry Deremond, the decision was made to bore a set of tunnels beneath East Tipbury and connect them to the mainline via a branch line once passenger services to Rewholm itself were properly established. Consequently, the Tipbury Branch snakes around and under the main line, rejoining once it clears Dry Deremond.
