#Alternative to laser jumping puzzle

I'm not a fan of platformers. Rather than say "get rid of them, pls?" or nerf them for everyone, how about this: have a 2nd way to get to the car key guy. maybe its a grindy. maybe some puzzles? maybe you can get to a spot to shoot at the laser controls? i kind of quit the game when i got to the laser stuff, fyi...
