MotoGP - pre-qualifying practice on Friday afternoon, the top ten fastest go straight to Q2. The next day, the remaining 12 go through Q1, where the fastest 2 also earn a place in Q2, with the other 10's starting positions decided by this session. Then, the remaining 12 fight for their spots on the grid and pole position.

Formula E - the field is split into two groups (odd and even-numbered championship positions), which go into short sessions where the top four in each qualify for the Duels. There are four quarter-finals, two semi-finals and then a final, where two cars go out on track with a gap in between and set times, with the winner advancing and eventually claiming pole position.
