I wanna work to become an engineer that helps build the car back at the team factory and am curious on what roles are involved. I’ve searched online but only found like 2-3 engineer ‘types’ ¯_(ツ)_/¯

They cover a wide range of topics but if you wana get into motorsport in general you need a mechanical engineering degree, specifically in automobile, but mechanical also works
And you also need to be well versed with aerodynamics that's covered in aerospace as far as I know, you need systems engineering, materials engineering, technologist,
But in general you will absolutely need a mechanical engineering degree

To add on, if you're a high school student, like me, you gotta have to be in like the UK to do the jobs that are available in person. As there aren't remote jobs available currently FYI
