also there is some missing scenes , the way he hugs his father etc
Bought F1 TV again and it's just well interesting
Most races still only have highlights wuw
Still better than before though
They cleverly use editing skills to make it seem like a full race I don't mind on most but 1997 IS SO BAD
They use the fucking season review as highlights
And 1997 season review if anyone has ever watched it is terrible
the 1998 is really good but yeah, 1997 isn't that great
I was wanting to watch 1997 Belgium GP which is a really good one only to find that it was 7 minutes long
Oof
So watched 1985 Portugal instead
@thin pecan it's funny that the dorna MotoGP and wsbk videopasses are better than F1 TV pro.

It's a shame when something illegal has a better service except season reviews which are better on DVD
imola 1985 is a good meme watch if you don't know what happens
Is that when everyone ran outta fuel?
Hehehe similar thing nearly happened in 86 again at Imola
Stupid fuel regulations back then
Check out these unassailable feats of astonishment that we just can't see getting beaten any time soon... For more F1ยฎ videos, visit http://www.Formula1.com ...
Btw the closest finish race on this is wrong
The top 5 were Gethin, Peterson, Cevert, Hailwood and Ganley
There was no Mclaren, Lewis and Brooks
Oof @LibertyMedia
I mean Mclaren was dead by 1971
Yeah that was awkward to hear
For most it probably wouldn't be
Yup
Top 10 records.. yet they say Fangio for his age...
Yet they dont say about him winning 4 championships in 4 different cars one after another
isnt that more impressive than his age
Drivers moved about during seasons back then as well
Striling Moss was brilliant in loads of different cars too
but who won 4 times with 4 different cars ?
Moss generally drove for 2nd rate teams to get their name out there, his chances of winning were damn near nil and he was utterly brilliant in anything he got put in
Not discounting Fangio's talent, but Moss always gets overlooked
Hamilton has won in 5 different cars
Yes

Every year they build a different car
hes won a race in 13 different cars too
That's dope
Originally built for the snowy Races of the Trophรฉe Andros, this is the All Wheel Drive, V6 2.5L powered Opel Tigra that is nowadays mostly remembered by tho...
this thing was the business in gran turismo 2
@proven crow 1995 Footwork, yay or nay ?
You asking about the whether I like the design?
I think the 1995 FA16 had a red nose tip though didn't it?
Yeah, I think that's a 1994 FA15
Not at all a fan of the livery design
quirky
Does anyone remember digital camo?
It reminds me of a shitty precursor to digital camo
red bull rb14 test livery
That's nice to see
a short but powerful piece of information on the incidents and how it shouldnt've happened
Nice saxophone on top
Kinnunen?
I think it's Kinnunen
yup
i call hacks
poor guy didn't get any probant results in F1 sadly
the last
saxophone on top ๐คฃ
Oh god that king of saxophone look kept coming in and out
Pretty sure Williams in 89 and 90 had a similar opening to the airbox
Actually nope
Uglier
their opening looks a lot like Brawn's
Looks like a hammer head top
for the 89 version
yes
Probably would still be 2nd fiddle to Mansell though
but Mansell demanded that he had a 2nd fiddle, coming from Ferrari where Prost outright dominated him
Williams were waiting for Mansell to come back and Boutsen suffered for it
Even though Boutsen outpefromed that Williams in 89 and 90 by winning 3 races
1990 Hungary his best by holding off Senna
Mansell would never properly retire without a championship
It was a notice to Williams to get him back
boutsen is underrated
good
he still managed to get more titles than McLaren
when could they have won and did not ? Besides maybe 1991 and 2003
Trying their hardest to hold onto both Ralf and Montoya and BMW
Tbh having either Toyota or BMW was bad
having BMW was bad ?
They bailed out of F1 after 2009
Same with Toyota
And the engine wasn't that great as it was in the earlier BMW seasons with Williams
Toyota wasn't that much better either not helped by Ralf stealing their money and getting rid of McNish
so BMW was good ? or it was bad ? i'm not following you
Williams didn't have much chance with either of the two choices with hindsight whether keeping BMW would be a good idea idk
it was good enough to get a race win with kubica
After pitlane drama
Without it BMW would've never won the race
They didn't even continue the development of the 2008 car and focused on 2009
And that didn't go well
yes
And bang they were out of the sport
2009 car was shit so they withdrew
if if if
you can't say 'in hindsight they should have done this' cause they can't see in the future
the BMW was the most powerful engine they could get
and Toyota had much more budget than Cosworth
to develop their engine
And their budget proved to be useless when Williams signed up with Toyota they already had been in F1 for 5 years and had a great season in 05 only to not repeat
can you say their engine was the reason why they had bad seasons ?
in 2009 they were up there
Yes
They were up there in stints
Early in the season
And towards the end
It was always backwards and forwards for them
ok since you're an experienced engine designer and therefore expert, you know what you're talking about.
Nope this is all my opinion which isn't always right
I can't back down though
Still Toyota was falling quickly back after 2005
There is too many reasons for their downfall
Being beaten by your customer team is definitely a sign that you should start turning it around or you will have to quit
says the one in yellow.
Renault seems to be the exception yes
Has been for a while
But it wasn't good for Toyota
They fixed that by putting in Nakajima XD
Still wasn't enough
Money isn't a guarantee for success always
Jordan achieved more on a crap budget
no it isn't
it's about having the right people in the right positions
Yep
OH GOD SIMTEK

Well, 13th, of course, because he also won South Africa BEFORE they stole the points that enabled Piquet to win the championship. This race also first top-three finish for @nigelmansell https://t.co/N4GL7JnbPv
Daily reminder Reutemman blew like a 20 point lead in the 2nd half of the 1981 season
beauty
"Nelson Piquet has been fantastic with me since my first day in F1," says Alesi. "It's a story nobody knows, but it's him who made the first contact between Ferrari and me."
Driver at Benetton at that time, the Brazilian took care of the contract of Alesi, that he added a significant bonus: "I have at home a Ferrari F40, because Piquet has put ' Ferrari F40 'as a gift from Ferrari. "
"I told Nelson I could not suggest that to the Ferrari president, he said 'shut up and give it', and thanks to Nelson who made this deal, I have the F40. At that time, no one had a lawyer or manager, we talked directly to people. "
"When you come from Avignon and the year before, you were working with your father in the garage, it's difficult to get to Frank Williams or [Luca] di Montezemolo and say 'I want this money, this position in the team, a spare car and a gift from the factory ', it's difficult. "
He goes back on what prompted Piquet to help him: "His career was almost over and as a friend, I explained to him who wanted to hire me and he said 'ok, let me make the contract' When he showed me the papers, I told him that the president was going to laugh and hire someone else and he told me to give him. "
"So I gave it, and I remember the president read it, looked at me, and said 'for a young pilot, you know what to put in your contract'."
Nelson Piquet saving Nigel Mansellโs career
What i dont like about Nelson is that his edginess doesnt know the limits sometimes
If i recall correctly in some native TV show he was asked what he thinks about Ayrton .... and i think his response was something like ... oh of course im better than him because he is dead and im alive
yeah he got asked "who is better, you or Senna ?" and his answer was "well, I'm alive"
I don't mind that quote
The "who is better, you or Senna ?" and his answer was "well, I'm alive"
well, boki is a great Senna fan, to say the least
that doesnt justify asshole answers
only a psychopath can joke about death of his friend / colleague etc. in this kinda manner
parnelli jones, andy granatelli, colin chapman and jim clark at indy
in their turbine 4wd cars
i love that Hill is still the only man to have the triple crown and will be for at least another year
So Piquet is a psychopath now
He was the joker of the fucking grid man until Berger took up that title
That question wasn't needed though because they were both amazing drivers in their prime
Unfortunately people look over Piquet because of Senna
calm down
if you are trying to find an excuse for him to joke about death of his colleague then idk what to really say
"joker"
as i said everything should have some limits that shouldnt be crossed

they had the 80th anniversary last year so they had loads of cars driving round before the race

"hey guys how should we make our F1 track?"
"penis"
"great idea"
Oh god it does look a bit like a penis
I wonder what the worst track layout of all time is
All but 3 corners are right angles fml
Shad, check out the layout for Caesar's Palace Las Vegas race...
It was fingers in a parking lot
It has a bit more of an apparent layout that Phoenix, but being it was in a flat parking lot in the middle of fhe desert made ir kind of a joke
lmao
don't have any idea ? just repeat the same track patern 3 times and link everything with a back straight, easy
Parking lots are a bit limiting
could have used a little bit of variation tho
even formula e does better on parking lots
I think part of it had to do with structures in place in sections of the parking lot
makes sense
Light poles, concrete bollards and the like
Ssc's pic is that brazilian gp 1973?๐ค
Its the 312T and the Tyrrell that I believe won the championship?
1975?
Because it looks like Emerson is with the no.1
But isnโt Jarier supposed to be leading
1974 I think
Ah yes
That Renault is so gorgeous
