https://twitter.com/BarryJGough/status/858210115736023040 That front wing looks so MasterCard Lola
The color scheme/livery is also kinda similar
wew
https://twitter.com/WhenF1Was/status/856779646666498052 A rather strange combination
the website sells real f1 stuff so i guess yes
https://images.cdn.circlesix.co/image/1/2000/0/uploads/posts/2017/04/769646e657e031630cc18fb8b39f5057.jpg Can't HNNNNNNNG this car enough tbh
The 1997 Prost JS45
often they have different engines though
Yeah
like an arrows from early 2000s had a hart engine
π
Ayy 1992-1994 Jordans
Some of my favorite ever F1 cars
The red-blue-turquise at top colorscheme is made of win
The 1994 Jordan is my favorite
toward the end of the season it got a bit fucky
with their rush for sponsors
MP4/1C
I was at an oldtimer-rallye today that was going through some nearby towns
lots and lots of awsome classic cars
π
Daaaaaamn
Surprised Donnelly survived a crash that bad
Even though he got career-ending injuries
i think it was almost head on into the barrier
absolutely crazy to think of senna and ratzenberger's and then donnelly who survived
arguably worse accident
Yeah
id argue its the worst non fatal accident
tbh
i mean there's hardly any car left
Wow! just found out he drove the same car at festival of speed in 2011
brave man
same model i mean
xD
lmfao, legend
Senna's was a bit of a freak accident
He died due to the angle of the suspension on impact iirc
I think F1 cars are built to handle a head on collision more than whacking the side
It's a bit like The Titanic, built for head on collision but it scraped the side
Yeah but his neck didn't snap and didn't die from a car part
Madness
well yeah
but i doubt they had an objective as low as car disintegration around the drier π
driver *
Heh yeah
What a madman
Ayy the 1989 Onyx
looks so good
is that even a picture?
FILM UPDATE: I'm afraid I was a bit optimistic in suggesting February for a completion date. The car has still to be driven and proper paid jobs keep getting...
hnng
The Lancia in the 3rd pic looks kind of like a Ferrari Testarossa
legend at work: jose froilan gonzalez in the maserati a6gcm
Hear that Audi chirp? The 1992 Audi S4 GTO roars up the hill at Festival of Speed 2017! #FOS
nasty car nasty sound
in a good way
Alguns videos onboard do Ayrton Senna que nΓ£o poderiam ficar sΓ³ no meu HD. / Some Ayrton Senna onboard videos.
I really wish this was in the movie/doc
Ah yes, the duck billed F1
in sync sliding in 6 wheelers ππ»
Ayyyyyy the 1989 Dallara
π’
why did they take off all the gravel?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rmkdr_gvlvg here's some classic Touring Cars of the old DTM and ITC I got to see at Norisring
Footage of the Qualifying sessions of the 2017 Tourenwagen Classics at Norisring.
The Peugeot 205 is awesome too
Same for the 206
Absolutely love the 206 in its 2001-2002 livery
Still remember installing a Martini skin on the Ford Focus on my CMR3/04/05 games when I was a kid
Shame that I can't relive those days now that I can't find them anywhere π¦
That looks fucking awesome
I used that
I loved that
unfortunately one update wiped all custom skins and i couldn't be arsed to reinstall them
:/
I also used Martini on Lancia 037 and Delta
1968 ?
Gilles had to battle the field, the track breaking up, and maybe worst of all, his Ferrari.
Just ur typical Gilles Villenueve race.
Ferraris (almost) always look good
The red appeal

In proper red. And looks like Alesi?
yes is alesi
Nice lotus
Lol
He looks so young there...
Mind you, then 25 was young for a driver, now...not so much
Its not old but its not young
25 year old f1 driver in 1985 = baby, in 2017 = not a baby
Wasn't Ayrton youngest triple world champion all the way until Vettel happened
Yea I'm pretty sure
Kinda shows the insanity of nowadays with me thinking there's a race winner currently in F1 who is younger than me. By quite a bit
Back then that was young, now its not really.
hmm, i don't know if it was considered young
Young for a triple world champion then xD
He still had like 10 years left on him
maybe against the likes of Mansell, Piquet or Prost
How old was Damon Hill?
36
Yeah. He was. Still looks annoyingly good for his age rn even
born same year as senna
o
1960 for both of them
Thats what I mean, Damon sure as hell does not look as old as he is. Lucky devil
That hair is pretty π₯
He looks what...late 40s...when he's actually late-ish 50s
Maybe looks even younger than that. He got lucky as hell.
i heard something somewhere that berger taught senna to have fun, and senna taught berger how to drive faster
π
Yeah, I heard that too
LOL
i'm joking, berger is decent driver in my book
Yeah good thing I was about to defend him xD
Prolly my fave driver to have never won a wdc
The prank war was legendary.
yeah for certain
O berger Γ© o cara que mais impressionou na fΓ³rmula um
Was that a serious test?
I don't think so
i doubt it
i reckon its similar to jackie stewart testing indycar and senna testing rally etc
Ye, I thought so
Or Colin McRae testing the 1996 Jordan
it's not as serious as Prost testing the 1996 McLaren
Onboard Lap with Eric Bernard in his Larrousse Lola-Lamborghini LC90 at Silverstone in 1990. #F1 https://t.co/cD1WA7VyLg

Ayyyyyyyy
:3
i just needed to slip this thru here
@long trout yeah senna was very good friend with berger :D
Btw you guys can see how dissapointed he was with new aids / electronics F1 headed towards in this interview if you watch
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foldECtyUWQ
its quite interesting
but yeah even in that year with weaker car he proved what kinda driver he was against prost etc
http://motorsportm8.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Gregor-Foitek-1989-Spanish-GP.jpg Gregor Foitek, what a lad
Reminds me of the Porsche 935 "Moby Dick"
Though it looks more like a Ferrari to me
its a porsche 935
Ah
That car is awesome in NFS:PU
and that engine π
Ya
Fucking childhood memories man
Driving this car
Also, did you know
That the 993 911 seems to be based off the 959
Here's the 959
And here's the 993
yeah
Just noticed that too
Odd given that the 993 started production in 1993, yet the 959 was made in 1987-1989
My favorite is the 993, but the 959 is kewl too
One does not simply try to replace their flagship car twice
Especially if it is this that they are trying to replace the 911 with
It still looks cool though
ye
Niki! ππ
Hmm, 1986 ?
Fk
that seat tho
Nothing beats pre ww2 mercedes seats
you just cant begin to imagine how it must have been
With nice comfy leather
@long trout I've been up montjuic
View from montjuic just for you (even though it has absolutely nothing to do with classic so sorry)
I didn't realise it was a track
I will do after going on that racecircuits website right now
We went up it when going to Barcelona this year
If only I'd known at the time. Silly Brocon
Playground...PLAYGROUND
montjuic is my playground
The 1989 Rial is underrated in the looks department
shame it was slow, cause it looks slick
ye
Pretty car
gilles?
that car was so good
but ugly as a sin
that race with the double rear wing ? yeah rather ugly
problem with brands hatch is that if they make it Grade 1 then they'll lose some iconic and historical parts
and make it too 'new'
that it loses it's charm
what would it lose?
other than close walls
and forest
i still think it would be a great track (if the main layout is used)
like austria but better
though they would never pay the amounts to host or renovate
maybe they could add stuff ontop of the current layout and just remove like one or two corners to connect to the new part ?
the current layout is great as is though
and like the grade 1 facilities (super hype paddock club pits etc) are built in the new part
maybe that's a bad idea, i don't know
hm
i wouldnt change the layout for the world though
only bit that i think could be changed is the last corner
yeah
oh shit behind said last corner is the town
http://www.statsf1.com/fr/circuit-brands-hatch.aspx i would have put the new stuff behind the current track, between stirling's and clark curve
perhaps
room seems sparse
like this ?
ah
and try to connect to old layout with keeping speed for the clark curve
or, where i go off from old layout, do a snail stuff like in china rather than a dumb hairpin ?
oh i have an idea
instead of the hairpin
put the corner before the banking in China
it seems to keep the BH flow more
π
Fucking gr8 boi
I want to learn that
@digital rain it takes a lot of practice
I understand
This lotus from 1982 is really splendid

inb4 thats your next project
mayπ ±
ππ
Ride onboard with the Williams-Renault of Canadian driver Jacques Villeneuve during practice for the 1997 San Marino Grand Prix at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino ...

The worst tobacco replacement: http://i.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2011/SPORT/motorsport/07/04/motorsport.f1.williams.renault/t1larg.ville.gi.jpg
Actually I think the R.? was worse
idk
Ro was worse imo
Was it Ro? I thought it was a fullstop lol
Looks pretty accurate, I must say
track needs more blue but idc its fine
Yeah
cool and nice
i didnt actually see that first picture until today
I'm surprised with how accurate I did it
updated it so its gooder and cooler
epic
This is so much sex
just driiiive i wanna be the only one to make it to the line
Looks nice
JPS + Lotus = KRAYGASAM
ok
JPS = Juan Pablo Sontoya?
No jhn player special tabacco
if i see this i think about it
i wish that it happened like thatt
We all do
Its painful just looking at that because we all know that isn't what happened, and the fact that didn't happen hurts
WHOS THAT
warwick
that's derek
was he dead
no
how
fucking luck
because he survived
lol
Derek gives an interview on the start grid at the 1993 German Grand Prixonly hours after a nasty accident in his Footwork Mugen
his neck must have ached a bit after that
he has had his fair share of massive crashes
Derek Warwick's accident at Monza where he crashes into the barrier, flips and stops in the middle of the road. He climbs out of the car upside down and runs...
This is the last pic of Ayrton before fatal accident
onboard is video technically its not picture
its paused video
not if you go on google images and see images of the onboard
its screencap of video
so that means it isnt a picture/image ? π
though i guess you meant photo in reality
π
its a image than boki
looks so good
Dangerous af
i dont care it looks so nice
shit
this went 250+ mph afaik
270 according to some places
one of the better GP drivers died in one of these because of high winds
Deathly beauty
indeed
nice
it's crazy
how does it sound
i dont know, they didnt record much videos in 1937
yeah
i will see if i can find one
i found one of the merc version
Bernd Rosemeyer had bested Mercedes the year before and while he was the man of the hour, Mercedes wasn't ready to give up just yet. In January of 1938 anoth...
different car
but i think it is similar
its a merc
srry
yeah
they had to unscrew the windscreen to get him out of the car π
lol
yeah, I only ever tried the rF one, idk how realistic it is
the ac one feels great
i made some skins for it but i dont know which one won the guy's competition
which skin *
half the entries were mine
lol
thats a cool car
love the ags
@analog turret
oh yes
love the a1gp cars
i know
is that formula easter as well?
i dont know much of formula easter except of the avia, metalex cars and estonia 21
im having a hard time telling what the fuck it is tbh
a car
meanwhile in soviet union http://www.racecar-engineering.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/upmadi.jpg
what the fuck
Moskvich Formula East car from 1970s
it reminds me of Formula E
So apparently the car I posted raced in the Formula Mondial class in Amber Lap π€
What is that?
https://youtu.be/7Gfl5nPqJ4I seems close enough
http://www.youtube.com/Super100MPH Witness Race Cam with Terry Ryan before his crash with another car in front taking him out of the race. The 1986 Australia...
ohhhh the 1600 Mondial
im honestly clueless about this shit
lol
God no
yes
is it a rally mod?
no
but it looks a very large amount like another vehicle
whats the name of it?
(not the lancia
)
it has no name
its a group s prototype
(group s being the even madder successor to group b)
the lancia is also a group s prototype
wait I found it
sport quattro RS
ah
thinks of the gif of the 037 going over a jump, surrounded by crowd
is that the one where the crowd jump out the way at the last minute?
yeah
as the 037 nearly slides in to them
Fab onboard clip of 1967 Formula one.
really?
i think early 70s because of how much quicker they were
though you can also argue for the driver in the 50s/60s
its not fatal as you can see he stands up
my main reason for the early 70s being most dangerous is that they seemed to catch fire so easily
and because of increased speeds, in some crashes its straight away as they hit the wall that the car explodes into flame
yeah like lauda's crash
there were 12 deaths in the 70s
15 in the 50s, but that includes indy500 for some reason
7 of those were at indy holy
Indy 500 was part of the F1 championship back then afaik
yeah
In this video is some onboard footage of Formula One cars from 1950 untill 2015. You can see the cars improve and hear the sound change over the years. I hop...
the guy is an absolute melt with the year labels
Seven Up
Its just insane that they raced on the Nordschleife in those things given that today's GT3 cars are a lot safer than F1 cars back then (yet the Nordschleife even had to be altered a bit just to allow GT3 cars to race on it again)
https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/22/72/e4/2272e4e94798b4d59a6836581ce5ec2f.jpg such a terrible looking idea
hmm why doesn't it embed?
π€·π»
oh shit
In a month or so we will be able to drive this beast in F1 2017
It kinda is
Though tbf front wing designs did not change greatly in the 1990s
Aside from the move to raised noses in 1992-1996
The livery makes the MP4-13 for me
It is so awesome
true
@calm comet where have you gone :'(
<@&313027518930223105> we're starting quali now. Remember 10 mins between quali and the race!
wrong channel
oof
Guessing from the wings
lol
Knowing that Germany pre-2002 was an ultra low-downforce track
Ya
indeed
That was actually an issue on the old Hockenheim if I am correct
inb4 6 rad
I think I can remember that in some race there were a lot of engine-related DNFs
What race could it have been
idk how the field is not going to be close
I think it might've been sometime in the 1980s
There's still the infield section to worry about
For a sec I thought it was 1992 from the Williams 1-2
π ±π·

double wang
haha
hnnnnnng
@distant elm that a Viper in the top right?
well not top
top right besides the flying car

Thats a stewart @rustic helm
Okay wild guess don't hurt me
Matra?
I don't recognise the body as either Ferrari or Lotus

just googled it
it's 312B2
the driver on the top pic is Regazzoni
yup
yeah
thats easy as well tho
Also the one they pretty much took from Ligier IIRC
yeah
Then the Peugeot deal came in and they were wank
JS45
going full french
while he could have seen from the last 3 seasons that the Peugeot was shit
does anyone know why the gauloises logo is stretched on the js45
arrows a22 is a nice car
Prost were to continue as Ligier in 1997, hence the car name
Alain Prost bought them out just before the start of the season, so they even launched their car when they were still Ligier
The JS43 was an evolution of 1995's relatively successful JS41, designed by Frank Dernie. However, he, team manager Tony Dowe and majority owner Tom Walkinshaw left the team after ownership problems with Ligier founder Guy Ligier. This paved the way for Alain Prost to buy the team for 1997.
