I honestly like the way the third option would work but there's a downside they can get hella hard to kill real quick I know the ciscos pack does it and like 100 blocks away from spawn they can get strong enough to one shot netherite armor.

So I have an idea add a stat point tree allow people to also increase there stats as well I don't think it'd have to be very big but you end up traveling like tens of thousands of blocks for some structures so it'd be next to impossible once you get far enough out y'know?

Mob difficulty option 3 would be best in my opinion, my primary concern is how the other options presented will scale on a server, where some players have alot more time than others to play, and thus could drastically affect the whole community simply by progressing too far ahead. Option 3 does concern me as far as how fast the mobs will scale though, hopefully there is an option to reduce or increase how fast mobs gain with distance?

Feel like rather for distance it would be better to go off of bosses defeated since y'know the modpack is also based on exploration

Prob would be the best idea for this pack considering the main progression bosses start getting easy to kill after awhile

Again though you would need to be able to individualize the progression based on the area around the player, it'll have drastic affects on other server members, and would honestly possible cut out all opportunity for cooperation if you have a couple hours or more a day vs ur friend having 1 or 2

Overall although its an excellent idea to look at progression longevity on a per player scale, most people play with their friends, solo host or on a server. It would suck to have a day off work and have to stress if I can get on or not for fear of my friend hopping on later and being super outmatched by difficulty

Hmm hey wait if it's only scaled off the progression of the main quest line bosses then that would be easy! Cause they are all spawned from spawners so why not make it scale personally? So every player can spawn a different difficulty boss depending on their own questline's progress

Another fear of basing it off of main quest progression, is what if someone just plays the game and forgets about quests entirely or avoids claiming them, thus skipping the flags. Idk for sure how that all works tho

Hmm well if it's strictly the quest line with spawner bosses idk how they could really some of them are required to even use basic tools

Honestly I'd say make it start scaling at zoranth and get tougher from there just so people have time to get started

Also you could tie it to the acquirement of the spawner item itself like picking up zoranths spawner makes the world start getting ready to go up in difficulty

Theoretically could do that the difficulty maybe scaled from defeating the netherrite boss

Make it so the prompt starts upon picking up the spawner but doesn't start until you beat zoranth?

Like a separate hidden quest happening at the same time

Also another thing I just thought off but idk how it would be realized

Having the boss beaten difficulty scaling but if you're in a group with multiple people it averaages the difficulty scale but if you're alone it goes to your difficulty scale

Well theoretically you'd all be on the same boss so I'd say stick to the difficulty of the person who spawned the boss

Make it so the ones who are joining either have to be at the same progression or they can't fight it as easily

Techincally you are all at the same boss techincally no since to use iron/gold...ect you need to kill the said boss

True still I'd say make it an unlocked thing like the ability to use iron or gold upon defeating certain bosses for example:

Beginner: fresh spawn till zoranth
Apprentice: zoranth till three bosses after
Expert: the next three after that
Master: also the next three
Legendary: the rest of them

Idk how much the difficulty would be changed maybe doubled each time??
