Why are you applying for this position?: I wish to aid the admin team in keeping the server a positive place for players, and to ensure our RP standards do not degrade to LRP/NRP like other, more combat focused servers.
What do you think makes a good staff member?: Someone who can act impartially fiirst and foremost. But beyond that one that understands nuance and what is acceptable under what ground, and what is not. I think an admin afraid to act is just as bad as one who will act at the slightest issue. Patience factors into this too of course.
What do you enjoy most about CMU and what do you think could improve?: Insurgency, its a great gamemode and I usually get great rrp from it, certainly more than CF or DS. But more importantly I love our rp culture and how it isnt just mindless kill enemy. That said, I still see players who do wish to, or actively do just kill anything vaguely enemy. And seen my share of siilent fraggers too. And I think this behaviour negatiively iimpactts everyone in the round, and it needs more help in addressing.
Have you ever been banned from a Space Station community? If yes, please explain what for, where, when and for how long.: RMC, 1-3 days forr EORG. I disagree with the ban, as I thought it was IC and ony one person even got slightly hurt, but it is what it is. Ive had no other bans.
What time zone are you in and when are you available? How much time per week can you realistically dedicate to staff duties?: MST, but I tend to be awake at night. That said im an insomniac so who knows really. Time dedicated is harder to judge for me. Id say 10-20h but i dont work so I can be on call usually any day as long as im awake.
