As you can see I have had follow activity since Aug. 2nd. In neither StreamElements website or in OBS.Live has any further activity been reflected in my feed. Do I just need to delete my Streamelements account and remake it or what?

im having an issue where i want to go live to mobcrush, the key and the URL are correct. as soon as i hit start streaming i get the fb live pop up (pic 1) and then if i hit go live it changes my stream key to FB then i cant stream on twitch as well

Anyone having an issue where you’ll be midstream and OBS just stops pushing data to Facebook? Last night was the second time in the past 3 days where the bitrate dropped to zero and Facebook said broadcast interrupted. There was no alert for lost connection or OBS reconnecting. It just stops pushing data out. Now to try and emulate this to see if it was a internet issue with my pc or ISP I swapped to SLOBS and streamed to Twitch and no issues.

@peak burrow Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

@cobalt elk When I look at the activity log it shows nothing however i have plenty of activity. Its like for some reason stream elements is not getting information from FB. I ended up having to use SLOBS for the alert function which i completely do not like.

If they are set to private we won't be able to see the events.

Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member.

Im having an issue with dropped frames on my stream, but my obs.live is running smooth with 0 dropped frames. I was streaming one evening and at the drop of a hat my broadcast was interrupted. @hot hedge To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible. https://youtu.be/KDvLynUqXI4

As for teh starts, {amount} should be fine to show the quantity of starts being received/given.

@serene heron If you are not seeing likes/shares on your current stream or page, that might be due to how the privacy settings of the person liking/sharing your stream are set.
If they are set to private we won't be able to see the events.
Specifically for shares, if they share in private groups, we won't be able to see the event.

Hi guys, i just joined and im sorry if im already committing some mistakes but can someone help me. The live preview or stream preview on the lower right side on facebook live says SORRY WE ARE HAVING TROUBLE PLAYING THIS VIDEO right after i press START STREAMING on OBS. I currently have 3142 followers and it displays 2052, I want to display an updating feed on this metric as a call to action, but it displays an incorrect amount, which renders this attempts as useless ;(

I have reset every data field, but this do not seem to be affected, nor I can write on top of them.

I got a problem where I could see the people that liked my stream but for those that used reacts like wow or love react they won't show up on the stream elements alert. Any way to fix this? edit: I customized my own overlays maybe I am just missing something in the settings.

Hello. Last night when I opened My OBS live to start my stream the widgets didn't look right. The alert widget says "session expired" and wants me to connect to twitch. Hey, I can't get my facebook stream widgets to work properly in obs.live. they were working fine until today. when i click start streaming the window to enter title and description no longer pops up, and my activity feed and chat widgets are broken. I'm almost 100% this has been covered, but I'm awful at scouring chat for the topic.
OVERLAYS:
I am trying to add my first overlay to my stream. I use OBS and stream on FACEBOOK.
Found the site StreamElements. Went through it and clicked SAVE on the overlay edit page.
Now, I cannot figure out where it saved.
I know how to make scenes, add sources, animated vs images, all that.
I just cannot find the overlay on my PC using Search in Folders.

Any help or suggestions are appreciated!

@fresh kettle you've probably signed up for streamelements using an account that admins that facebook page. happened to me, so i went through the process of deleting that fb channel off streamelements. Didn't work. Contacted support. They helped me removed it.

from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you loose followers/subs.

I am having the problem of Shares not being picked up in events or alert. It is like they don't happen. I have checked that it is enable in the overlay and set up right. It will work if i do a test It just won't pick up when I am live. I only know the shares happen thanks to my studio page on FB. Is there a known way to fix this?

Sound is not integrated into alert, it's separate file uploaded on my SE.

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

Not sure if this is a bug but I already clicked clear video but the video settings are still there. I also tried setting an image and adding animations to the image (fade in/fade out) but when testing it out with emulate, it's just not working.

Ah. I think I figured it out. It was my bad. Apparently the image was saving as a webp file instead of png for some reason so it's considered as a video instead of an image.

Hi there, i have an alert for when someone becomes a supporter. A video plays on screen. This video and audio pause for a second multiple times when the alert appears. in the streamelements editor it is fine but when it comes across as a preview its not playing smoothly and freezes for a second multiple times through the alert duration of 40 seconds

@brave magnet If you are not seeing likes/shares on your current stream or page, that might be due to how the privacy settings of the person liking/sharing your stream are set.
If they are set to private we won't be able to see the events.
Specifically for shares, if they share in private groups, we won't be able to see the event.

@amber crater There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

@rancid ravine No. Facebook hides your pages total likes/followers behind api permissions that are hidden behind business verification that are hidden behind an app... So you have to create an app, get business verified, and then set your api permissions to allow you to get the likes and follows. Its a very stupid process. 2 reasons. 1, you can't get individual business verified right now due to covid, and 2, likes and follows are publicly viewable on any page, so why the heck is it hidden behind an api permission? So in short, Stream Elements has no EASY way to get that data. I've reach out to facebook asking them to please adjust this, but have heard nothing back yet.

I'm having an issue where my shares are not being sent frim FB to trigger my alert. If I test it to live, it pops up. Likes, follows, stars - all working. Shares do not show up at all in event list etc. Anyone see this before?

@sudden kelp If you are not seeing likes/shares on your current stream or page, that might be due to how the privacy settings of the person liking/sharing your stream are set.
If they are set to private we won't be able to see the events.
Specifically for shares, if they share in private groups, we won't be able to see the event.

I'm having an issue with my OBS Stream Elements. I just logged onto my computer, and it's saying that I have no stream activity in my activity feed and that the only option is to log into Twitch, but I stream on FB. right now chatbots are only available for partners and soon LVL UP creators. but i highly doubt they will open the api up for 3rd party chatbots anytime soon.

before this wonderful plugin to create an alert popup you would use the popup box url and paste that into a browser source. with this im a little lost, is it automatically connected because its linked with my facebook account? from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

Streamelements OBS.Live will only notify some of the stream shares, some shares dont register with obs.live/streamelements. Also Heart reactions dont notify in OBS.Live/Streamelements. Any known fix for this?

Users can choose to make the channels that they subscribe to public or private. By default, all settings are set to private.

Private: When a users subscriptions are set to private, no other user can see what channels they subscribe to. A user's account does not show in a channel's Subscribers List, even if they are subscribed.
Public: When users subscriptions are set to public, another user can see what channels they subscribe to. User subscriptions are listed on their channel page and their account is listed in the Subscribers List for any channel they subscribe to.

The OBS Live activity feed is only accepting twitch now and I do not use twitch. I have logged out of everything and reconnected. I have updated my stream keys but now when I go live its not streaming to my FB page nor are alerts going on to followers.

@ocean vale I would try to relog on streamelements and even reconnect in OBS settings > stream
other than that you can elaborate on when it started and what changed when it did

In general you guys must understand that FB don't provide us with the same information that Twitch does, for example
so a lot of trivial things that are being kinda instantly handled on other helpdesk channels, might require a bit of little digging into when it comes to FB
sometimes even digging into it with dev, which would require even more time

stating we don't care or that you're 'second class' is just putting an irrelevant take on a strictly technical reason to the delay in responses
and seeing as this take is solely a personal opinion, I'd advise avoiding sharing it publicly

Opera GX and the new Microsoft Edge Chromium might work closest to Chrome as its also Chromium built. Firefox also works, but some things might look a bit different or not work. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer with our Dashboard as it does not support functions.
If the website doesn’t work on chrome, be sure none of your plugins are blocking our website or clear your cookies. You can try if the website works in a incognito tab.

If they are set to private we won't be able to see the events.
Specifically for shares, if they share in private groups, we won't be able to see the event.

Greetings, it seems my profile may have split into 3 or so pieces again... I have logged in with facebook, youtube, and twitch. I once had mine merged, but it is no longer the case. I want to go live on Facebook with a very popular game that just launched & am concerned my tip page links won't be valid anymore... Youtube was supposed to be my primary login, but I stream to facebook & just post the session to youtube currently.

Channels don't unlink, nor do we unlink them for people. Too dangerous for the database.

Trying to get logged in with Facebook, but the box that pops up when I click the FB, is too small for the pop up it says. So I am unable to sign in. It also won't let me expand or maximize the pop up box. So stuck with the first pop up in a window and inside that window, it says that window is too small for pop up. It's at the point that I just need to click that I am using my FB. The blue button to click is right behind the "window too small" error, it's visible but the error is on top. Please help, I really want to try out StreamElements instead of just OBS Studios. Thanks in advance.

@upbeat rampart If you are not seeing likes/shares on your current stream or page, that might be due to how the privacy settings of the person liking/sharing your stream are set.
If they are set to private we won't be able to see the events.
Specifically for shares, if they share in private groups, we won't be able to see the event.

@wanton raven To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible. https://youtu.be/KDvLynUqXI4

Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member.

hello guys i am new to obs and to streamelements for some reason when I test my imported alerts from stream labs it just become a tiny alert with no design or anything even if the settings said there is a gif design etc. How do i fix? Thank you. 🙂

hello guys.. i am new about streamelements. i am using it for a week and i actually see it very convenient and useful. now i am trying to stream my other page, but i cannot see any chat's on my obs and cant receive alerts on it .. i think it still connected to my recent page that i have streamed. how can i set the comment and alert section for what i am streaming. please help. thank you ..

@fervent flax You'd need to use something like restream or another service and even then we don't support giving alerts from both platforms.

@lament adder The default resolution for StreamElements overlays (theme and custom) is 1920x1080. Please add them in OBS at their full resolution and use CTRL+F to fit to screen if necessary. You can then downscale your stream in OBS settings > Video if you'd like https://i.imgur.com/6bWXxjR.png

I used to be prompted with a box to create my title, description, and tag the game that I'm playing but now that doesn't appear and I have to use Facebook to help launch my stream. My alert box and chat box are no longer working either out of nowhere. I had my most popular stream to date a couple of days ago and was unable to keep up with alerts properly. Please help!
