@pliant hedge if you are streaming on xbox you can stream to Twitch using the Twitch app on xbox and then to Facebook from xbox via capture card. If that makes sense. Thats how I do it. Restream is ok but they limit you to stream length

Another question is: How do i add recent follower? Im using Facebook login and i can only see Recent Fan. Fan is based on Likes on facebook but in facebook theres also Followers and i would love to give them a shout out. (Note that facebook gaming highlight follows over likes)

Opera GX and the new Microsoft Edge Chromium might work closest to Chrome as its also Chromium built. FireFox also works, but some things might look a bit different or not work. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer with our Dashboard as it does not support functions.
If the website doesn’t work on chrome, be sure none of your plugins are blocking our website or clear your cookies. You can try if the website works in a incognito tab.

Is there a way to unlink my Facbook account? I prefer to use Twitch, but every time I try to stream, it pops up a dialog box for Facebook. I've disconnected the SteamElements app on the Facebook side and unlinked it from the SE side, but it still pops up. (See images)

Hello, I had an issue while live streaming. This was my first time using streamelements. The problem I had was my live stream was very laggy. I switch over to another streaming program to see if my internet was the problem and it worked fine.

No, the browser does not need to be open for your alerts to play. Your overlay only needs to be added to OBS as a browser source.

@summer flame There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security
WARNING: In submitting a closure request you will delete both linked accounts and loose all data from both accounts. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data(tips, subs, etc). You can still relogin with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

@safe adder There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security
WARNING: In submitting a closure request you will delete both linked accounts and loose all data from both accounts. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data(tips, subs, etc). You can still relogin with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

I see, i ran into another problem benno. So i originally connected with Twitch and I added the other channels. You said if i log out and log in it should change the account email to the right one, i did that but it didnt. And I can't add the facebook channel again as it just says its already claimed

i guess what i did was change the fb page admin to a different person and that doesnt automatically mean it changes the fb owner email

The way we've built the API is highly dependent on privacy settings from users. This is how it was specified by Facebook directly - if the users who like/share/stars/etc have their privacy set to private, then we won't get the event, because its hidden from the API endpoint we are using.

What does SLOBS have over FB that SE doesn't? I really don't want to switch as its a lot of work to set everything up but as a new and small streamer it is important that all alerts work. I hope that the SE team will reach out to FB and get them to open their API up to you

Hi, my follower count on stream elements is very wrong. On facebook it shows I have 1478 followers and when i try to add a follower count onto an overlay it says I only have 994 followers. When I go into the session data and click totals it says 994 there but it is greyed out and I can't change it. What can I do to fix this?

Hi! I'm trying to connect my Facebook page to my Streamelements account, and the browsers opens to a page that ends in "ERR_NO_GAMING_PAGE" redirects to fb_createpage and then back to streamelements. Any ideas on how to fix this? The page is already set to gaming video creator and I'm just trying to fully switch over to streamelements from StreamLabs.

@woeful merlin you have to manually update this from time to time. SE will only see/add Followers when that happens while you're Live. If you're offline it never adds to the Follower count. I'm constantly updating my numbers. Page Likes however work just fine but not Followers for some reason

My alerts are linked through SLOBS but im now using SEOBS. when I'm live I get like 2-3 alerts (just a small streamer) but after I end the livestream and check the video it has like 6 or so reactions. I am having problems with my FPS dropping to 1/2 or less of the setting when streaming any game play to Facebook. I contacted FB about it and used the settings they recommended. It worked fine 3 days ago with no issues but now my frame rates go down any time I bring up a game, minimize the game to my dashboard and the FPS goes back to normal. My Computer is a Acer Nitro 5 with 16gb of ram and is 3 weeks old, direct wired to the router. I have already lost a days worth of streaming over this... PLEASE HELP!!!

@runic moon There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security
WARNING: In submitting a closure request you will delete both linked accounts and loose all data from both accounts. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data(tips, subs, etc). You can still relogin with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts
If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member.

If they are set to private we won't be able to see the events.
Specifically for shares, if they share in private groups, we won't be able to see the event.

@- Chris K -#4869 Hey! I just noticed the mention from the 29th, sorry! I actually ended up figuring it out and the person helping me forwarded the solution to the dev team for them to look into. I had used SE before and deleted the Facebook page, so it was trying to link to a page that didn't exist. It took me a very long time to find the connection settings on FB for SE, because they're in business integrations instead of app/website settings. I disconnected there and it fixed the issue.

Edit: Hopefully he sees this since I can't tag him because of the formatting of his name lol

Hi, I stream on facebook and my LIKES have stopped appearing in the activity feed and in overlays on OBS via streamelements. They stopped working 2 days ago and I can't get them to work again! Please HELP! I've tried logging out of everything and logging back in, I've reset the cache on the overlay and deleted it and remade the source. Still not working!

I am having the same issue as everyone with the likes righf now...i did a temporary fix by opening up my streamlabs obs on thd side where u would sed ur normal reactolns as well as having streamelements as my primary obs. I have only my alertbox active on SLOBS so it doesnt bov down the CPU. W have to trg and be patient during this pandemic. I know it's just a temporary fix and not perfect..buf i hope this helps anyone.

Also I hope no one thinks I am slamming SE but I have been dealing with this for over a month and everyone kept saying it’s a privacy issue. It took me to complain to FB for action to even happen. Pandemic yes but it’s work that can be done remotely. Coding is coding. I work for a lab supply company and even our office personnel can do work from home. Anyway moving on. Slobs alerts would be great.

@shy quail There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security
WARNING: In submitting a closure request you will delete both linked accounts and loose all data from both accounts. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data(tips, subs, etc). You can still relogin with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

@void yoke yah, i apologize for the late response...but basically what i do is i use my SLOBS account and deactivate all of my overlays EXCEPT the alerts...then i just drag that SLOBS box (reduced in size) over where your stream elements alers would be..so it covers those up. so istill see the visual of stream in middle..chat on right..and slobs alerts on left. this way i stil lget notified of all reactions and whatnot, while elements figures out. if you need more help, drop me a PM

I just did a live test of adding SLOBS alerts as a Browser source on my SE overlay, login to SLOBS account and it seemed to work. We'll go with that until SE solves the API issue

You can still use streamelements. Just when you start to go live instead of using the streamelements info use the live production page. It is something that will accomplish what you are wanting but OBS doesn't have that ability unless you are using something like Restream.

Usually when I before I stream on Facebook, stream elements will ask for my live video settings for Facebook and it starts displaying my Facebook comments. I've been getting no Facebook comments or live video settings. My feed isn't even showing up on facebook anymore.

Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts

Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events

Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts
If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member.

@south urchin If you are not hearing your Alerts and/or Media request, you are most likely using the "Control Audio via OBS" option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

@south urchin Make sure to ☑️ “Shutdown source when not visible” for all browser sources (all OBS scenes). Do the Overlays load quite a bit slower when you change scenes/open OBS? (I mean sometimes it doesn't load for almost a min, sometimes I have to click reload overlay button a few times) 😦 I have 150mbps Internet connection and livestreaming fine, so speed is not the issue.

Thanks Gamers JoyRide. Its been a downward spiral for me. A month ago Like/reactions stopped then about a week or so ago the only alert that worked was Fans. So I did a work around the last few days with Streamlabs Alerts and it worked but I'll stream tonight withonly the SE alert box and cross my fingers it works

@civic mauve If you are not seeing Likes/Shares on your current stream or page, that might be due to how the privacy settings of the person liking/sharing your stream are set.
If they are set to private we won't be able to see the events.
Specifically for shares, if they share in private groups, we won't be able to see the event.

My overlays doesn't work 😦
@wraith idol you're not the only one.
It's not exactly "not working" for me, but it is toooooo slow.
When I launch OBS or change scenes the overlays don't load immediately. Sometimes it takes almost a min for it to come back. (Hardware accl is on for browser sources)

My Internet speed is fine, no issues in that, streaming without any issues.

Nah, both cases same. Still takes at least 15-20 seconds to load the overlays. 😦
When I chance scene, all the overlays goes blank and returns after some time.

Evening Streamelements community!

I've made my login on streamelements with both YouTube and Facebook. YouTube I've chosen the main channel I own but on Facebook I've chosen a test page.
I can't change it anymore for some reason and I need to link my main Facebook Page instead, to grab all the correct stats, subscribers etc (and I'll stream both on YT and FB main page).

Do you know how I can solve it?

@long notch There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security
WARNING: In submitting a closure request you will delete both linked accounts and loose all data from both accounts. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data(tips, subs, etc). You can still relogin with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Hi @grave pagodayone, i am importing my scenes from streamlabs obs to streamelements. Upon import, my scenes are all muddled, wrong text sizes/boxes very all over the show. Editing all this seems like a massive amount of time to take, so i was wondering is there any easy way where it all has been imorted without any need to edit everything individually. Thankyou

There isn't an easy way. Either start from scratch or edit the overlays. That is how they were imported and those were the parameters that got imported as.

^^ like @mild barn said. there will always be a latency between your live and what viewers see (normally 2-5) seconds. this gives time for bots/mods to remove chat messages before everyone can see.

the only other thing i can suggest is to adjust your stream settings... be sure to stream at what your PC can handle if you're streaming at 1080p 60 FPS maybe scale it down to 30FPS or even stream at 720p which is pleanty enough as most people are watching on mobile anyways from facebook

anyways can some one please help me as to why i can't go live on Facebook from OBS Live? every time i do it connects then disconnects after about 3 seconds saying it disconnected from server... Previously i was using SLOBS but have made the jump and switch

Facebook/OBS is not my strong point @mild barn ... but have you done the Tools->auto config-> FB settings
