Hi all,
I have an issue that is preventing me from logging in, I can login to my Twitch account fine on Twitch and the Streamelements website, but on OBS it will log me in, circle for a bit and return to this screen.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Or where the logs are located for streamelements?

So far I have tried

• Rebooting
• Disabling network optimisations
• Running as admin
• Disabling every other network adapter
• Changing DNS servers
• Disabling IPS on my router

Hey guys i dont know if this is something that is fixable but im using nested scenes for my camera right i have a sony a6000 and i have 1 scene where its blurred and another scene where its normal and a 3rd and 4th scene where its rounded edges and verticle so thats 4 camera sources running off my one A6000 i have the deactivate source when not in use but when i toggle scenes the cameras dont seem to switch its just a blank screen is there a fix for this or am i going to have to use my stream deck to hotkey them to turn on and off in the scene

Hi! Im streaming using an elgato HD60S+ capture card but am having a weird issue. When im in menus/lobby everything looks fine, but as soon as I get into a game the game capture (not the overlays and webcam etc) has a weird tint over it which can either be quite green or red/orangey depending on the map I’m playing. Is this a weird visual bug?

I'm not sure which helpdesk channel to put this in but my bot seems to be broken, or at least the custom bot account that is assigned to the bot. Someone made a slots roll earlier and now the bot account is spamming the same result every 5 seconds and wont stop. I removed the bot from the channel but it seems like it's "custom bot name account" that keeps spamming it and i'm not sure how to stop it? I've had to ban the bot in order for it to stop spamming it

@main forge If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

I'm having an issue in which an alert box overlay won't show up in OBS.Live but it does in Stream Elements overlay editor.

When I do a test follow in the editor, for example, it shows the notification pop up

But when I tab into OBS.Live, the notif doesn't appear

I have 4 other scenes and the notifs work in all of those, that's the weird thing

It's ONLY in this one overlay

I can't figure out why.

• As long as the filter conditions are met, the host/raid alert will play
• If the host event comes before the raid event via the API, the host alert will be played and the raid alert will be ignored
• If the raid event comes before the host event via the API, the raid alert will be played and the host alert will be ignored

the 1 viewer hosts might be offline hosts, which we don't count at all

So that explains why all of the raids show as “1” on my twitch feed even though it’s not 1?

if you are saying everyone is now listed as 1 raid

then thats a twitch bug on their side for not showing the right number after you visit the page

You are using Youtube, the alerts can be delayed on the YT end (just subscribers) but they will still play rightaway.

Those activities are Youtube specific. And they are instant. Subscribers on Youtube are delayed, this is how their API works

Hello. Having audio issues streaming ps5 using remote play. The audio output is set to wireless controller, which is the only way to hear the game audio on steam. However, the audio is choppy and echoes. This is only a problem when I play ps5 games. Ps4 games sound just fine.

Can anyone help me figure out why i seem to constantly get pixelation on my stream when there is some moving gameplay? I know that FPS games are a lot tougher but even so, i see other affiliates having relatively clear gameplay on the same game. I have tried lowering the resolution output, increasing bitrate. Changing base canvas to match the output size. Even tried swapping between NVENC and x264. I see the pixelation happen even when using the recording section on OBS not just streaming

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Any ideas on how to fix OBS.Live dropped frames? Our internet is solid (I blamed the internet for 2 days, and finally checked to make sure...lol) I'm specifically streaming to Twitch, but as far as I can tell, it is not a Twitch issue. confused and slightly frustrated

So I had to reset my twitch password and re connect everything. But since doing that the only thing that will play in OBS is a loop of the streamelements website login screen. I don't have this scream open on any tab and when I do open it I'm already logged in. Has anyone else had this problem?

@compact ivy Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Anyone have any idea where pixelization on my stream might be coming from? It's generally clear until some movement and stuff happens in-game. I have tried using both x264 and NVENC, Tried 720p at 60FPS, tried 1080p at 60FPS and also 932P. I have an I9 9900K , 32GB RAM and an RTX 2080TI. It can't just be a Bitrate thing as i am seeing this same issue when doing a local recording through OBS. I can DM a VOD link with timestamp to show an example. Thanks!

I'm trying to use multiple profiles in OBS/obs.live. I've got one gaming account and one music account, and I'm using different custom bot-names on both. But switching profiles in OBS still retains the same StreamElements user logged in. It's switching all the OBS settings as expected, so the stream settings are changing, but the Activity Feed, Chat, and everything StreamElements are still on the previous profile. Is there a way to switch SE Profiles without logging in/out every time?

You can create multiple accounts on Twitch, either with different emails, or by enabling multiple account registration for one email in the settings.
Streaming to different accounts separately is as simple as switching profiles in OBS. Or by using a service like Restream. However, streaming to multiple Twitch accounts simultaneously using Restream requires a subscription.

So either way I set up OBS, my stream is dropping 30-60% of my frames and dropping connection. I have solid internet on a wired connection, and my specs have run my stream at 1920x1080 at 60 fps for awhile with no issues. I don't have any internet issues on anything else. Now I'm getting up to 3-5 delays and losing connection constantly. It doesn't matter if I'm at 1920x1080 output, 1280x720 output, if I'm at 30 fps or 60 fps, if I'm at 6000 kb/s bitrate or 2000 kb/s bitrate. I'm beyond confused and nothing I'm changing is helping. I literally just can't stream anymore and I haven't changed any hardware in my setup or anything but OBS settings to account for the dramatic change.. is this just me??? The only recommendation I'm getting is that I need more RAM because I only have 8 gb. Would that honestly result in such a dramatic change for my stream overnight?

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

You can create a separate profile in OBS.Live just for recording. You will also want to create a new scene collection to match. Then all you have to do is swap profile and scene collection when you’re streaming or recording.

What it does is allow your encoder to... make certain parts of an image not as "good looking" to make other parts of the image "good looking" to be perceived by the human eye as better

Its honestly a 50/50 you ever even notice a difference with it, its generally reccommended to just turn it on for a stream and then compare to one without and see if you like the difference

Its generally better for streams with 1080p and lower bitrates compared to higher ones that do not need this sacrifice and can handle the almost full load of the iamge

How to separate Media Request (MR) audio in OBS:
(Please follow one of the steps for your set up)

MUTE MR FOR YOURSELF, STREAM CAN HEAR

1. Make a new overlay in the editor, ONLY add the Media Request widget.
2. Add a new browser source in OBS, add the URL and set the dimensions correctly.
3. Tick the box for Control audio via OBS https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/364869138809618432/815892834841264138/unknown.png
4. Go to Edit > Advanced Audio, set your MR overlay to Monitor Off. Note: This will play through the Desktop Audio, if you mute your desktop audio, it will mute the MR.

CONTROL AUDIO SEPARATELY FROM YOU AND STREAM

1. For this you will need a VAC (use command !vac).
2. Run your MR either in Chrome or in Ground Control (use command !gc). Note: Do NOT click on SHOW ON STREAM.
3. Set Chrome or GC in the VAC as an audio input and output.
4. Add the audio output from VAC as an audio input in OBS. Note: This will not be able to show the video in OBS.

It is currently not possible to separate audio for yourself and stream if you ALSO want to show the video in OBS.
The only way to do this would be to follow the last set of instructions above and then use Window Capture on GC or Chrome.

Hello. I'm having a really annoying issue with my audio from Discord intermittently echoing/doubling in my OBS. It doesn't echo 100% of the time, and it's random. It is not picking up on my microphone, so that's not the issue. I have my game/discord audio on one source and my music/desktop audio on another so I can split the VOD track but keep discord and game audio on my VODs/clips. The game audio does not echo, only the Discord audio, and they are on the same source.

You should copy the overlay URL from the "my overlays" tab like so:

Those are photoshop files, you need to export them first and then add to OBS or to our overlays.

not sure if this is the right channel to post this, first of all hi i hope youre having a good day, second i started using obs live to stream so that i can use the custom bot name for my emotes, but at least once during every stream the bot will just stop working and i have to switch to regular stream elements bot for maybe 30 mins - 1 hour. is this a known issue and is there a workaround?

There are no OBS.Live files, there are only supported file types for the correct applications and cases

So you need to know where you want to use them and then export in the correct format and correct bitrate etc.
