Yes, this would probably be easiest. I'm not sure what you have imported, but it might be helpful to know that you can duplicate elements/widgets across overlays using the Duplicate button in the Layers menu in the overlay editor. I highly recommend that video guide as well.

quick question. I searched and couldn't find a proper answer. Is there a way to hear stream alerts while playing my game? I know there are alerts on my stream itself, but as I play, I want to hear an audio notification if someone chats or if there is a new follower, etc. I am still new and have little to no viewers. So it's not bothersome right now to hear it.

Everything I research only shows how to put audio notifications IN the stream, but not to me the streamer.

Or does anyone have any tips/tricks for this?

@boreal arch If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

Hello, I am currently having a problem with OBS not picking up my desktop audio

Dear Community, Couple weeks ago I restarted to get Streamready with OBS and discovered Streamelements. Immediately I was excited and went with all my stuff from other Bots to Streamelements. Finished with all the settings the first Streams went fine. But since last Friday I have the problem that my Bot won't trigger Autotimer messages, Chat Commands and so on. I was also not possible to write in Chaterino. The Bot was setted on my Twitch Channel Name and wrote in "my Name". When I rename it to the Streamelements Name everything works fine. How can I fix it or better what could be the Problem? I miss the message written in my Channelcolour and so on. Thanks alot for help and support.

@hard bobcat If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I‘m currently experiencing issues with my alerts, more specifically with the audio.

I can hear the audio just fine as usual, but my viewers can’t. I have not applied any changes to the alerts in OBS or Streamelements, but I’ve added some additional ones today and copied all of them as duplicates to my other scenes (like intro etc).

I‘m wondering if there is any kind of „limit“ to what OBS can handle or if it’s possible an issue due to the duplicates I’ve created?

I‘m using OBS (not Streamlabs OBS).

Create a new Scene, name it for example "Follow Alert". Drop the Browsers Source for that alert, in there.

Then, wherever you want that follow alert to show, just insert a new source > scene, and pick that scene you just made (in this example: "follow alert")

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

hi, i have some overlays that aren't showing up on OBS and i'm not sure why. they're on top of the scenes, the eyeball is turned on, they have the correct browser sources and are marked as "browser source" for input. they don't show up when i go to "properties" in OBS, however they do show up in the streamelements editor when i press the "open in streamelements overlay editor" button in OBS on the properties popup. i've tried searching all over but i can't find what's wrong. can someone help me please?

Yeah, so I am currently running my SE overlay via Browser source in OBS but using browser source really affects my frames in game

I am losing about 30-40 frames with an animated overlay via browser source.

So the SE overlay will have to be a browser source, but to reduce the load on the CPU you could try to minimize how much has to load/how many sources you have.

@wraith inlet If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Correct

The user was previously a custom bot name, but it would never send messages as that user when it was connected, so I removed it a couple weeks ago, but SE bot has never been able to see the messages of that account. I've tried changing the custom bot name to the broadcaster name and back, but that did not help either.

And suddenly it's now working. Not sure if you did something for me, but it can see messages now!

Hello, I'm not sure where my problem belongs to, so i'll just post this here. I've been streaming on facebook for most of my streaming career. a few days ago I decided to make a twitch account and linked it to my stream elements because i was planning on streaming there in the near future. Didn't think too much about it, just linked the account and went on with my day. However, when i went live yesterday the activity feed and chat on my obs now only shows the one for my twitch (which is inactive because i was streaming on facebook) instead of the activity feed and chat from facebook and i have no idea how to switch it back to how it was. What can i do to fix this?

Ah, one of those issues huh. Sorry to hear, I hope some solution comes along. StreamElements overlays should work on any software that supports Browser sources, but we can't guarantee that or offer much support outside of OBS. StreamElements overlays do work on xSplit, for example- as a last resort I suppose 😅

so here's my issue, i seem to be dropping frames like crazy (45-67% throughout stream), but i have no internet problems, my connection is stable, and it was all going fine until as of this morning. I haven't changed any settings, and i usually get 0,1% dropped frames on 7mbs bitrate, but now im getting this on 2.5mbs bitrate. I have no connection problems anywhere else, only obs.

@rugged quail Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Well it looks normal to me. Unless 1/3 of your stream is missing on your stream

having OBS be smaller then maximzed can have this effect of cut out on the preview

The animations you see (not the transition) are the themes set up on the Streamelements site and are in a browser source. The stinger transition is webm. It's strange because if it were an encoding overload it would happen in normal obs too, but it doesnt.

I did a backup of OBS before replacing the plugins folder, it crashed OBS so i put everything back, im going to try and copying the rest of the OBS plugin into SE and see if that fixes the problem

Guys, i found a possible solution. The latency seems to disappear if i use the beta version of obs.live which uses OBS 26.1.2. Here's my recording of what's happening.

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hi guys! I hope someone's gonna be able to fix my issue with obs.live. When I start streaming i am experiencing frames drop once every minute basically. They go from 4500 to 0 and then go back to 4500 after a few seconds making my gaming experience terrible. This happens only when I'm live. When i play online without obs running everything's smooth and perfect. I've been doing a speed test with a score of 65mbps download and 20mbps upload so I don't think it's a connection problem. This has been happening in the last 2 days. Please help me

@main bramble Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

I have made the variation with that of you cheer at least 25 bits that only then there is tts. But i get again the animation with a diamond instead the same animation with at lwast 1 beat and i get a other sound effect then the at least 1 bit

I have fixed it now. Instead of making a bit variation from blank i duplicate the at least 1.

And another question, i was being stupid to do gor every support thing (bits, donations, subscribers) a different alert box. But now i want to donderdag all of that in 1 alert box because otherwise there are 2 alerts on the dame time planning like a donation alert and a bits alert. Is there an easy way to donderdag that or do i have to do everything again?

@rugged quail If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I don't know how to fix my problem and no one else has answers for it: My alert overlays kill all of my sounds when I am streaming. The game sounds and my microphone both just stop working if someone raids, follows ect. I have to stop it all and re start the stream and the game. I have even deleted the overlays deleted OBS and I re download it all and I tried a fresh start. No results. Help 🥺

@silent sundial Text not showing up over your alerts? Go to the Advanced Text Settings and set the top margin to 50, you can work your way to the right position from there.

OBS is an add-in for their software, and it shouldn't really interfere with the encoder. However, it may be worth it to take the logs from that stream and analyze them in the OBS Analyzer

In OBS select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. It should open a page that should break down what may have gone wrong in the stream. If the most current log isn't the one from your stream, you may have to upload the proper one from the log files

So not sure if you can help or not. I am trying to stream on youtube through obs / streamelements and i see if i do it just from cams it gives option for ultra low latency. I am trying to figure out what settings to do. because when i hit live through obs it changes back to normal latency. but if i do normal though youtube i don't get my overlays and such!

The json will contain the file path for the media/images/URL you have in your scene. Assuming that you don't change anything, it should be fine

if you're transferring to another PC, make sure the file path is the same, or edit the json to match the file path on the new PC and it will work fine

My main problem is that OBS.Live panels such as chat, or the ones in the following image are all in Hungarian.
That is what I wish to change and I just can't come up with anything.

It's weird, it's as if the alert box kind of catches up for each scene and just displays the emotes that happened earlier..
