@dark cloak OBS.Live should be uninstalled before uninstalling OBS Studio, as it's highly dependent on the main program's presence. You'll need to reinstall OBS Studio, then uninstall OBS.Live.

I need help, my StreamElements OBS keeps dropping frames even when I’m not recording or doing a livestream. I’ve changed most of the settings and changed them back, I’ve tried everything but I still keep dropping frames. It’s mainly in WarZone but it’s been doing it with other games as well.

and... the default size is 1080p... if you want to use 720p, you have to edit the overlay screen size too.

Hey People. Not sure where to ask this, but I wondered if someone could help me with my new cheer alert. I have created a short WEBM video, which I want the TTS to kick in and start to speak over the top of it. BUT the issue is TTS doesn't seem to start until the webm file has finished. Will uninstalling then reinstalling obs.live help with alert issues? I've tried clearing the cache and enabling/disabling that other thing in advanced settings. My store alerts aren't working and half my regular alerts won't play either sound or video and for some reason my cheer alert won't change from the default

(Please follow one of the steps for your set up)

MUTE MR FOR YOURSELF, STREAM CAN HEAR

Make a new overlay in the editor, ONLY add the Media Request widget.
Add a new browser source in OBS, add the URL and set the dimensions correctly.
Tick the box for Control audio via OBS https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/712428275049431120/716618713998033047/unknown.png
Go to Edit > Advanced Audio, set your MR overlay to Monitor Off. Note: This will play through the Desktop Audio, if you mute your desktop audio, it will mute the MR.

CONTROL AUDIO SEPARATELY FROM YOU AND STREAM

For this you will need a VAC (use command !vac).
Run your MR either in Chrome or in Ground Control (use command !gc). Note: Do NOT click on SHOW ON STREAM.
Set Chrome or GC in the VAC as an audio input and output.
Add the audio output from VAC as an audio input in OBS. Note: This will not be able to show the video in OBS.

It is currently not possible to separate audio for yourself and stream if you ALSO want to show the video in OBS.
The only way to do this would be to follow the last set of instructions above and then use Window Capture on GC or Chrome.

Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

@ocean sandal If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

2) In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404
3) Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
4) Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
5) Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
6) Navigate to the Console tab
7) Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8) Try setting the custom bot name
9) Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

@amber barn 1) Right click on your OBS desktop shortcut and open the Properties
2) In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404
3) Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
4) Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
5) Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
6) Navigate to the Console tab
7) Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8) Try setting the custom bot name
9) Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

Hi, I came in here a few days ago about the game played not being updated. It was suggested that I log out and log back in, and that hasn't fixed the issue. At this point I've uninstalled obs.live and re-installed it, and continue to have the same issue.

@feral vigil There is a bug with setting the stream title in OBS and the dev team is investigating.
In the meantime you can set the title using the !settitle command in chat (if enabled in your bot command settings) or with the Twitch dashboard: https://dashboard.twitch.tv/stream-manager

obs.live chat dock is basically twitch's chat
when you add a new dock for chat it should show chat, not other windows you've navigated to from within the dock

I'd try logging out and back in from SE or even restart the program

Quick question on my activity feed in obs.live ... does the mute/unmute alerts bell actually give you an audible alert when,unmuted, while you’re streaming to let you know you’ve got a notification? You can click your events, to make their colour different from upcoming ones and the bar on the left that indicates "new event" shrink into a small dot. It will help you distinguish new from old events then

Is there a way to integrate discord using a dedicated streaming PC? I run discord on the gaming pc, and obs.live on a second PC. The second PC captures everything from discord on the 1st pc. The streaming PC is not set up for audio input. I do everything on the gaming pc. The overlay from discord seems to require the pc with obs.live running to have discord active. Suggestions?

Good morning everyone.
Quick question: My stream randomly disconnects then reconnects right away while streaming. My internet is good, hardwired. About 900mbps up/35mpbs down. I ran a test stream on Twitch, and chose the best server that it had chosen. Did the Twitch inspect thing, it ran for 3 hours without an issue. While streaming, it disconnected randomly after an hour and came right back, but it caused me to lose 3 viewers. My bitrate is set at 2500 also.

Hello, can someone help me? I do GTA RP lives on facebook, so when I open the OBS and start the live, the Kbps rate is from 1500 to 3000 and keeps hiding (I set it to stay at 5000), I already contacted the internet technician, everything is normal , I imagine it is something in my OBS, what would be recommended?

@plain mason I did your steps and I can now stream again. However, that was just a glitch that happened randomly for some reason. The original issue persists. That issue being that: whenever I open OBS it does not remember my layout and always tells me "Could not athenticate twitch", then something about failing to get a token. After this happens I gotta go into the stream part and hit "Connect" and apply to get my normal layout that I have to fix every time I open the app.

Maybe you can help.

Hello, I am trying to stream but stream elements do not want to work. As you can tell I am live right now, but for some reason my activity feed and my chat are completely blank and won't work even though I have many viewers. I already tried everything that I could including making sure everything is up to date, refreshing obs and streamelements, loging out then coming back in, and reloading all overlays. Activity feed and my chat do not seem to want to connect, it's really angering me please help.

Custom bot name was working until I updated my bot account's password a couple of days ago, and ever since I've not been able to reconnect it correctly. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling OBS.live, tried removing the bot connection completely before attempting to relog into the OBS.live custom bot name area. It does not show me the correct bot name, the ability to test a message remains grayed out, and when the bot says anything it's stuck on the default name. What should I do?

2) In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404
3) Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
4) Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
5) Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
6) Navigate to the Console tab
7) Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8) Try setting the custom bot name
9) Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

Hello, I am trying to make some commands that will play sound effects. I have !chicken that uses ${redeem chicken} that plays a chicken sound, and works fine. I tried to add some more sfx commands as I did with !chicken , but it only shows "item not found, you can see all items here (store)" . I copyed the name of the item in the store to the command, but still doesn't work.
Can anyone help me with this? (I'm new to streamelements btw)

I solved the issue 🙂 For some reason it seemed to fix itself overnight... I add new sound effect to the store now, and I can use them right away. Not sure why it did not work last night, but at least it's fixed now 😂

I would need some help.
I use OBS on MacBook Air 10.13.6, and I found out that there's an incompatibility of the program when I use the Window capture, which involves the appearance of annoying glitches during the stream on Twitch.
I tried to use the Desktop capture as someone suggested on internet, and glitched finally disappeared, so it has nothing to do with my computer.
But then I got a new problem: I couldnt use my color picker on Clip Studio Paint, whatever color I tried to pick it, I always would get the same grey color. Clearly there's some bug. Can you suggest me anything?

So I'm making my alerts today and I have a little bummer. Basically the alert is a .webm file and EVERY file in it is with sRGB color profile and it looks just right even when I upload it to streamelements' alerts editor. However, when I play the alert in OBS and Twitch (both browser and mobile) the colors looks washed. Double-checked - everything in the files is sRGB and I'm rendering the video in sRGB as well. Some help?

@last spindle If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I try connecting my twitch account to my obs and when I do it the stream elements page loads in just like if I were using the webpage and doesn’t like let me continue further ahead so my account stays saved just like when you connect your yt account. I tried closing it (the stream Elements website that pops off) to see if my info stays there but it logs me out and I have to log in again. I tried 3 times and is the same, maybe I’m missing a skip bottom or something somewhere on that thing that pops off? Idk I’m really confused ;-; I logged out of my account since some alerts weren’t working, specially the chat one

The fast way - open %AppData%\obs-studio\basic\scenes directory, open scene collection file you are using with notepad++ find and replace old path with new path. But if you are unsure of how does that work I really recommend changing them one by one.

@steep bridge Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

there are copyrighted assets from Streamlabs in the scenes

How does one stream on Twitch when you have connected Twitch, Facebook and Youtube accounts? Not trying to Multi-stream or anything. Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you loose followers/subs.

Hello.
I have a bit of a pressing issue and I have no idea what to do about it other than ask here...
I stream regularly, and normally everything's ok.
Tomorrow I have a special stream scheduled, and testing now I noticed that there's an extra microphone track in there.
When I only have one microphone in my audio mixer, I hear myself twice when I record myself.
And even more specifically, when I have nothing in my sources and only "Desktop Audio" in the Audio Mixer (a fresh, empty scene), and even that is muted, when I make a recording it still records me talking.
I have no idea where it's coming from.
Normally it wouldn't be that big of a deal, but I need a different microphone for tomorrow's stream, so I need this one gone.
Does anyone have any idea for any lead as to what might be happening here?

if you go to edit > advanced audio
you can see the source for your music.

if you set it to "monitor only" only you will be able to hear it,
but if you have your desktop audio unmuted then your stream can hear it

if you set it to "monitor and output" then you and stream will hear it, but if your desktop audio is unmuted there will be a slight echo and it outputs to stream twice.

as its and "intro" i would recommend the second option but keeping your desktop audio muted

@worn cloak If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

So... can someone help me? Obs.live hasn't been working for me for weeks now, meaning I can't stream or record video. Period. It started out with just display capture freezing but you can still see my mouse moving on the screen, just it freezes on one image in obs.live, and doesn't show any interaction on the display.

Now its window and game capture that are doing the same thing. They'll capture the first item on display, and then not show any more changes, but you can see my mouse moving in OBS even though the image on Display/Game/Window capture doesn't work.

I can't figure out why its doing this. It worked fine for me before this new PC. And nothing hardware wise should be causing a problem. 2080 TI, Ryzen 3950, 32 GB RAM, etc. My monitors are both 2k resolution, and using DP cables... I'd like to get back to streaming so badly.

I am asking because i want to make a label for newest follower and newest subscriber. Obviously one of the texts is slightly longer than the other and I am trying to fit them both in a similiarly sized box. I want to be able to have the same font size on both while fitting them in the same box but I am having some trouble making it look right

Also asking because when displaying different names, some names might be longer than others so how do I make it to where regardless of the length of the name it will fit in the box

All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

Hello I have a Question I was streaming on Youtube. But suddenly I want to switch an stream on Facebook I already had cofingured the Stream key from facebook but when I tried to clicked on Start Stream on OBS It still shows Facebook

@left orchid If you are not seeing the OBS Twitch integrations and have OBS.Live installed, please follow these steps:

Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live
Exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
Delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
Start OBS.Live
Settings > Stream > Disconnect > Connect

ive looked all over the discord and i cant find the information for how to do a clip command. ive seen some streamer who have that set up and id like to add that to my channel where it automatically clips a 30-60 sec clip with a simple !clip command function.

I switched over to OBS live because i wanted to try it out, in streamlabs i could do a command !yell and a sound would play, i am having troubles finding that same feature over here! i've uploaded sounds to the store and cant seem to find an upload sound as a command. Please help

Steps to make a command trigger sound on stream:

Go to Stream Store page here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/store/items
Add an item that has these settings on it:

Stream Perk
Loyalty settings to your desire
(Next step) Add contents (image and/or sound you want to play)
"Redeeming this item shows an alert
Redemable via chat
Skip Requirements

Get the item name/command from the 2nd creation page
Go to commands page here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot/commands/custom
Add command with desired name and have response for command as: ${redeem item_name_here}
Go to your overlays and edit the overlay you use.
Click on "widgets" and add "Store redemptions" widget. Click save and you should be golden.
Test your own command in chat and have OBS or editor open to hear sound
