Hey. I’m wondering if there is a way for me to hear stream alerts like when people follow or redeem items. My current set up is ps4 connected to the pc via an elgato capture card. I have Astro mix amp connected to the captured card via and aux cable and my headset connected to the mix amp.

@old grove If you are not hearing your Alerts and/or Media request, you are most likely using the "Control Audio via OBS" option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

Hey all, trying to set my twitch custom bot in obs.live and was working before but I went and edited the bot account and now it unlinked the account and when I try to reconnect the custom bot account, it will let me log in and authorise but will not update the bot name

Hi, I'm having some issues and I've spent about 6 hours trying to find a fix but cannot find anything.

So, I just setup a dual PC stream setup, upgrading from a single. I freshly installed win10 and updated all my drivers. Rebooted, installed OBS with OBS.Live, rebooted. Moved the content from my old PC to the new one, and every media element, including transitions and overlays causes OBS CPU usage to rise by about 10% each. When I check Task Manager, just idling with an overlay has the CPU at 100%.
My CPU isn't overheating or anything, it's only with OBS opened, otherwise the CPU is fine. I cannot figure it out. I've tried reinstalling OBS and OBS.Live, that didn't seem to fix it.
Note; this is before encoding comes into play. Thanks for any help!

@restive berry If you are not seeing Likes/Shares on your current stream or page, that might be due to how the privacy settings of the person liking/sharing your stream are set.
If they are set to private we won't be able to see the events.
Specifically for shares, if they share in private groups, we won't be able to see the event.

Opera GX and the new Microsoft Edge Chromium might work closest to Chrome as its also Chromium built. FireFox also works, but some things might look a bit different or not work. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer with our Dashboard as it does not support functions.
If the website doesn’t work on chrome, be sure none of your plugins are blocking our website or clear your cookies. You can try if the website works in a incognito tab.

@tall summit OBS.Live is heavily dependent on an installation of OBS Studio being present. You should always uninstall OBS.Live before uninstalling OBS Studio. Uninstalling OBS Studio first will result in errors.

If you uninstalled OBS Studio, then reinstall it, then uninstall OBS.Live.

Setting up TTS on regular donations through streamelements went ok without issues

1. Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live
2. exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
3. delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
4. start OBS.Live
5. Settings -> Stream -> disconnect -> connect

by default if you plug your headphones in the microphone you can hear your self

the settings in windows audio for the microphone can be set to do the same thing towards any headphones output for example

All your overlay browser sources with a StreamElements overlay, need to have that checkbox, to shutdown the source checked.
Also make sure you do not have an overlay launched somewhere else, like in the overlay editor or the web browser.

@restive berry If you are not seeing Likes/Shares on your current stream or page, that might be due to how the privacy settings of the person liking/sharing your stream are set.
If they are set to private we won't be able to see the events.
Specifically for shares, if they share in private groups, we won't be able to see the event.

Hi again. Something has come up.
So I went back to single PC streaming and everything worked perfect. I then sent that image to my capture card, accidentally streamed with my games pc and it worked perfect. Stopped the stream, started again with the stream PC and using transitions is causing render lag. Note; I was still sending an image to the other PC the entire time. Does OBS enter some sort of power mode when encoding? Thanks

Hey!

So, I recently updated my OBS to StreamElements so I can have the additional functionality etc.
But, now, I'm having massive frame drops all the time. I go from stable 60 to a bouncy 6-15FPS all the time.

I was just wondering is there a way to make it more stable? Because currently it's a massive barrier for my streaming since, obviously most people don't want to watch a stream that's either a. disconnecting, or b. Unwatchable just to massively choppy frames.

I would much appreciate some guidance and support on this. Thank you!

Hi. Anyone know why my Host Alert is not showing on stream when someone hosts me? I have it set to show alert with minimum of 0 viewers when someone hosts me and when i get follows, etc those show fine. Just the Host one is not showing

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

Didn't see anything for the streamelements stream store and overlays, so I'm posting this issue here.
It's a weird one, bear with me here. Created a video rendered with alpha at 1920x1080. Used it as an item in the Stream store. Video will only show up at half size after redemption, despite widget showing 1920x1080.
Tested video by attaching it to a follower alert. Size was correct there.
Current solution: under "Size, position, and style" on the redemption widget, double the width and height (3840x2160) AND set "left" to -800. Even with this, the video size is slightly bit bigger than intended.
Seems odd to do all that when it works fine for regular alerts.

@pallid parrot lx I've tried fullscreen and windowed fullscreen. It still does it.
Transport Fever 2 doesn't tax my system in the slightest, but, it still gets massive FPS drops on the OBS. So, I don't know. @distant breach can confirm that there's a definite difference in the recording since I updated to StreamElements.
But, as you and he said, it might not be anything to do with SE. Although, it is very coincidental.

I'm using a gif and a separate sound, but the gif plays twice as long as the sound does! Gif is less than two seconds long, sound is about 6. Alert duration is set to 6 seconds, but it doesn't matter what number I set it to, the gif will play for about 12 seconds.

@weary wagon Valve has implemented a Trusted Mode which does not allow OBS to hook CS:GO using Game Capture. See: https://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/2020/07/30736/

You will need to run the game in either windowed or borderless windowed and use Window Capture instead. Alternately, you can launch the game with -untrusted but this will lower your trust score with VAC and may affect the quality of your matches.

Hey yall, I am having an issue where i can no longer update my stream info in OBS.live from the panel. If i highlight the message to be erased, upon pushing the backspace or any key it leaves it and moves the cursor to the end almost as if Scroll lock is on. I have tried uninstalling, logging out and logging back in, disconnecting and reconnecting and to no luck it just does the same thing. Hello! I’m having an issue with my alerts on obslive. I inported my overlay and alerts from streamlabs, at first it was working fine. But now on the alerts they are not populating the data. Let’s say I get a follow, instead of the alert saying “New Follower Lobotiempo” it comes up as “{insert title}” lobotiempo then underneath the alert “ {amount}” I edited the message to say “Lobotiempo is now follow!” So not sure why it isn’t populating like that on the alert

@compact hollow If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:
1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

@muted magnet If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:
1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hi I seem to be having a problem with my OBS, When I go to put in the information I want to in Stream Information I press update and then it's set back to what it was before. I have a strange question. I've multiple video on triggerfyre triggered by commands, all the cooldowns are on 0.
When an user write a commands (let's say 5 seconds video) and he immediately write a second command, it doesn't show up, he must wait the end of the first one.
There's a way to immediately show it on stream?
When I was using command videos hosted phisically on my pc they could stack them together.
Maybe the reason is that triggerfye grant acces to the cloud files only one by one?

Just the other day, I incorporated music into my streams to play alongside my game audio which is captured through an elegato hd60 S+ and everything was working fine. Fast forward to today, whenever I play music the video capture audio skips, and sometimes shuts off altogether. I've tried numerous methods to fix this issue and nothing seems to be working. @fathom wagon Valve has implemented a Trusted Mode which does not allow OBS to hook CS:GO using Game Capture. See: https://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/2020/07/30736/

You will need to run the game in either windowed or borderless windowed and use Window Capture instead. Alternately, you can launch the game with  -untrusted but this will lower your trust score with VAC and may affect the quality of your matches.

Opera GX and the new Microsoft Edge Chromium might work closest to Chrome as its also Chromium built. FireFox also works, but some things might look a bit different or not work. If the website doesn’t work on chrome, be sure none of your plugins are blocking our website or clear your cookies. You can try if the website works in a incognito tab.

From there set the SE Store option to be TTS

So youre wanting to edit the "Instagram option" @vagrant dove ? If so click "settings" option at the bottom of that screen and edit the text there.

In the screenshot your only editing the 'name' of the text box, not the contents. Contents needa be updated under "settings"

@high adder according to the log your 2 monitors are on different refresh rates and on the version of windows you are on is causing some nasty issues

Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard, and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

If anyone can help with this issue that would be most appreciated. I use a Logitech C920 webcam to stream with and obviously OBS as the platform. Roughly around an hour or so in the stream, I will always start to lose sync with my cam and sound. Only way to fix it is to restart my Logitech program for the cam and it will then resync back to normal. I have not changed any settings that I can see that could cause this issue nor see any settings that could help fix this. Anyone have an ideas? Thanks!

1. Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live
2. exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
3. delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
4. start OBS.Live
5. Settings -> Stream -> disconnect -> connect

I was streaming subnautica yesterday but I noticed (looking to the monitor that I'm using for obs) that was laggy. On the tv (main screen) the game was smooth. I noticed also that the cpu was at like 90-100%.
Before I was using streamlabs obs and there wasn't lag.
There's a way to lighten obs live?

Go to "settings" -> stream -> disconnect your twitch account and connect it again

1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

If you are using Twitch and the default chat overlay set the style to 'custom' on the website editor @rugged quail that will make it clear on your overlay

For the obs chat. It is either black or white. But your chat will not see this.

@ember raptor in your spam filters area of the website you can edit it to remove the time out part I'm not sure if it won't delete their previous messages since the update I still have to refamilarize with some of SEs stuff

@ember raptor looking at twitchs API looks like they don't have anything in there to mimic the moderation tools they added at the start of this year so the SE bot has to do the old way of a quick 1 second time out (i think 0 works? its been ages since I had to time out anyone) so it will always end up deleting a users previous messages as well till twitch adds the api for it

🔹 Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again with by connecting with Twitch.
🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Additionally, they have no plans on allowing OBS in Trusted mode
