@fossil tapir since the stats are updated due to user switching, we cannot use the data from both accounts. Then, you must use your account and the stats will be registered correctly from now on.

@stable axle To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website), and ☑ “Shutdown source when not visible” https://youtu.be/KDvLynUqXI4

@severe oyster The system is made to ignore refollows. However, for those who have followed you before you connected with StreamElements, they will be able to unfollow and refollow once to force an alert to appear, but subsequent attempts will not trigger an alert.

I will clip it next time it happens, but I thought just that when I moved to SE: it'll only work once for people who followed before switching platforms

but I've had the same people do it on several streams, sometimes more than once per stream. They say they just tap the heart icon and the alert just works

@karmic monolith The import will fail if you're attempting to import assets that are too large or Streamlabs-owned assets. Also, the import doesn't go directly to OBS.Live, but instead to your account on the site. Make sure that you haven't made a bunch of duplicate entries by repeatedly attempting the import.

I'm not sure if this is the right channel. but ios there a way I can make it so the Mic through obs is not picking up my keyboard typing sounds, sometimes I have to type and I type loud, also you hear my fan humming too. but I cant figure out how to minimize it through OBS. @torpid condor If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:
1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSOTM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I am using the Stream Elements overlays for my followers and such. But i am just now noticing that the font I'm choosing in the browser does not change over to the overlay actually on Obs? Am i missing something?

Custom Fonts

Steps:

Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings
Enable Custom Font
Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSOTM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me with this issue I have been having...

Basically, after about 5-10 minutes of streaming, StreamElements crashes completely, no crash log, no notification saying the app has crashed. It's like my computer just force closes the app.

Testing it today, StreamElements was open all day just idle, and has not once crashed. Could this be a CPU issue? Anything I can do to keep the program running?

Well 4K at 30000 bitrate is way to low, wouldn’t go that low for 1080p (assuming you’re playing FPS games) but that should effect quality not necessarily make the recording stutter

from the overlay editor -> session data on top right (monitor symbol) -> goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal
from the dashboard -> activity feed on the left -> widget data on the right -> goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal
Note: Goal widgets(progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you loose followers/subs

the easiest way to do it, is to send the music to a different output than you are listening to

quickest and easiest way I can suggest, would be to plug in some speakers, turn them all the way down, then add audio output device "speakers" as a source for stream. Then make sure you can set your music to output to speakers, while keeping your game audio (and the rest of desktop audio) on headphones

Anybody able to help me. I currently set up a StreamElements overlay setup. Now I added the alertbox which comes with the overlay theme I have. But my old alertbox is also showing. So now I have double alertboxes. Anyone know how to remove the old one?

Question:
Kapagen is set up and working if I check the preview
In OBS.Live I am not getting Kapagen bouncing emotes or anything unless there is an explosion from followers etc
again in preview I see everything meaning the source is working as intended and browser source in OBS is not set to close or anything, can anyone help? 🙂

I'm having trouble connecting my custom bot name account to obslive, I've had it connected before met all the criteria's for it got through the motions of logging in, put the numeric code in and authorize, window disappears and nothing happens no new name pops up in my drop down. Any thought's ?

@untold spire If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:
1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSOTM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Right after the last authorize it's supposed to automatically show up in the drop down, but it just does nothing

Ok here's something interesting I changed it to my broadcaster name, hit save, it did save that name, but hit test message nothing sent

i´ve set up a running text of my recent 5 Followers, and choosen custom font (built titling RG) but in OBS it showed with an other Font, don´t ask me why... after some clicking here and there my obs.live broke and got a hang, i had to shut it down through TM. after restart everything was fine... okay so now i have the correct Error... it´s the RG at the End of the Font Name even though the font is named Built Titling RG, you have to leave the Name without the RG, thats causing the bug... if you name it correctly it will show wrong on OBS.Live but correct in Streamelements Layout Editior, if you get rid of the RG it´s correct in Both! @untold spire

Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard, and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

only use 720p/30 and preset veryfast or better superfast, but it won´t be a nice thing to watch. also turn down the graphics of all the games you wanna stream, so that your GPU is only at 85 or 90% of usage if the game runs but the stream isn´t. Try with GPU encoding... thats all i can give you as an advice... maybe some other guys can help you with more

Initially, I setup my scene inside OBS, as in I added all pictures and widgets as sources right there.
Then I got convinced that doing it through streamelements overlays would be better for the performance and spent 3 hours making that transition. Only to realise that it ended up even laggier than before

apparently loading the entire overlay as 1 browser source ended up more laggy than adding the widgets/images as separate sources. Go figure. So I would appreciate if I could restore the backup I made and didn't have to spend another 3 hours putting everything together again

just installed stream elements live onto OBS but none of the live features are available and it says I am still running in OBS studio mode when I keep launching it as OBS.live but it will not switch

(Please follow one of the steps for your set up)

MUTE MR FOR YOURSELF, STREAM CAN HEAR

• Make a new overlay in the editor, ONLY add the media request widget,
• Add a new browser source in OBS, add the URL and set the dimensions correctly,
• Tick the box for "Control audio via OBS"

NOTE: This will play through the Desktop Audio, if you mute your desktop audio, it will mute the MR.

• For this you will need a VAC (use command !vac),
• Run your MR either in Chrome or in Ground Control (use command !gc),
DO NOT CLICK "SHOW ON STREAM"
• Set Chrome or GC in the VAC as an audio input and output,
• Add the audio output from VAC as an audio input in OBS,
NOTE: this will not be able to show the video in OBS

It is currently not possible to separate audio for yourself and stream if you ALSO want to show the video in OBS.
The only way to do this would be to follow the last set of instructions above and then use Window Capture on GC or Chrome.

@faint whale If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:
1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hello everyone, I am having an unusual bug in my streamelements obs.live with my "Activity Feed" panel.

The "Stream title" field can not be updated.
a. Reinstalled didn't fix it.
b. I tried updating that field on another computer and it reproduced the same error.
c. I can type in the game titled field and change that, or in the "Chat feed" panel and there is not issue there.
d. But in the "Stream title" field it behaves like I hit the "End key" and will not let me change the info there.
e. I tried disconnecting the stream user and reconnecting to see if that works.
f. I'm dumb founded at this point because it seems like network block of sorts, since I have tried all steps on both pcs and it just persists
on rejecting any input to that field and moves the cursor to the end of the field.

In the meantime you can set the title using the !settitle command in chat (if enabled in your bot command settings)

i imported slobs alert box to SE using browser source. hosts and donations dont alertbox but everything else does. why is that and how do i fix? also is there a way to test fake donos/hosts to see if the alert will come up?

I'm not a streamer.. but my guess is no. it should all be background until editing and testing things.

When you load up OBS and get the stream preview (you don't have to be live) it should all work. when you type in chat it will post into the OBS preview

Basically the overlay editor is a "sandbox" to test stuff... then move it to OBS (which will be what viewers see. and you don't have to be live to preview that).

Hello. I can't seem to be able to restore a Backup I made of my scene collection. The backup is there, it has a file size, it downloads, but then the "restore" button is greyed out

It is incredibly frustrating, because I spent hours to try something which didn't work out, and now I can't go back because "Restore" won't work.

Your bot would need to be a sub (for Twitch) to be able to use emotes

In OBS studio under the Activity Feed for StreamElements, I'm no longer able to edit Stream Title. It let's me change the game, but when I try to type anything into the stream title, it move the cursor to the end and doesn't allow me to remove or add any text..

@elfin remnant If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:
1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

@nocturne geode There is a bug with setting the stream title in OBS and the Dev team is investigating.
In the meantime you can set the title using the !settitle command in chat (if enabled in your bot command settings)
Or with the Twitch dashboard: https://dashboard.twitch.tv/stream-manager

@rugged quail If you are not seeing the OBS Twitch integrations and have OBS.Live installed, please follow these steps:

Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live
exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
start OBS.Live
Settings -> Stream -> disconnect -> connect
