Hey all, for some reason my obs.live will not install on my stream deck anymore. This is the second time that is has happened. The first time I followed a thread I found and deleted the 'com.streamelements.obslive.sd' folder in which I was able to install the plugin successfully. That folder doesn't exist now for me to delete so I don't know what to do. Maybe reinstall the stream deck application?

My screen is constantly black on any screen I try to display. I've emptied my cache for OBS, uninstalled and reinstalled, so what might the issue be?

Hey all! Is there a way to overlay OBS settings on my screen while streaming but not sending that information to the stream? For example, since I'm running on a single monitor, I would like to see my current scene & audio settings(mute/unmute status), just to make sure I'm running the correct settings while streaming. And hopefully avoid issues like muting and continue my stream while muted, etc. Any tips?

Studio mode allows you to look at other scenes in OBS without switching to them @simple shard

It might take some time to get used to hearing myself, but it will ensure I keep track when i'm muted or not. Still trying to figure out how to display the scene name on the screen, though

Opera GX and the new Microsoft Edge Chromium might work closest to Chrome as its also Chromium built. FireFox also works, but some things might look a bit different or not work. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer with our Dashboard as it does not support functions.
If the website doesn’t work on chrome, be sure none of your plugins are blocking our website or clear your cookies. You can try if the website works in a incognito tab.

• Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
• Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

Alertboxes are an exception, since it's an entirely different code structure between streaming platforms. Therefore, it converts any alertbox within your overlay to the default alertbox for that streaming platform.

1) Right click on your OBS desktop shortcut -> properties - in the "Target" field add this -> --remote-debugging-port=40404
2) Open OBS(or restart if it was open)
3) Open your browser and type in "localhost:40404"
4) Click on "StreamElements - Activity feed"
5) navigate to the Console tab
6) type in the console this: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration() and hit enter
7) Try setting the custom bot name
8) remove the added addition of step 1

If you just want the chat widget, sure.

Because then you could re-use it anywhere in any scene, if you like.

But you're free to combine many widgets on a single overlay

If you, however, don't see that in OBS, there's a big-phat chance the browser source resolution, does not match the overlay size. 🙂

It's the part that confuses me most about OBS live/streamelemnts is all the overlay stuff. In Streamlabs all I had to do was add it as a source/scene and copy paste it as I saw fit.

There are no "best settings".
Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard, and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

Im trying to make a portable version of obs live i copied all the files from the program files section but it always give me a fresh version of obs live. I realised that It gets all the scence and sources from the Roaming folder. How can I set a "Roaming folder" in my extrernal hdd?

Hey guys! I am new to SE and trying to figure out how to do different size alerts with variations. I have a full screen dono alert that requires full 1920x1080 and then a secondary dono alert that I want to be smaller. Is this possible without them both triggering at the same time?

Hello! I am currently running obslive on my laptop which I also have extended to another monitor. The problem that I am having is that the encoder is overloaded or something and the stream is really behind or laggy as heck. I already have my bitrate down to 1800 and I was wondering if there was anything I could do to make it run smoother and better quality. My wifi has an average of 19 mbps download and upload speed if that helps!

Try the action again that gave the error and note in the network tab any red text. Please copy and paste the error information that is given when clicking on this red text.
