Edit: Thanks MrMurdok for the help, this is fixed!
I am having the same issue as @narrow moss. Also got 3 new followers last night during my stream but no alerts, and nothing is registering in the Activity Feed. Went to https://streamelements.com/dashboard and parted my channel, then reconnected. Also logged out of Stream Elements within OBS Live and logged back in. The followers appear in my Twitch Stream Manager window. Nothing seems to work. Can anyone help with this?

Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard, and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

Hello, looking for a little assistance with a channel. I've set up the overlay and alerts (new follower and tips). Overlay is working great. Alerts are not working at all. Previewing the alerts works in the browser and OBS.live. Looking at the activity feed in OBS it isn't registering that I'm getting follows. To test I've connected my other account and I'm seeing activity in the activity feed...In the chatstats section (stats.streamelements.com) it is showing accurate information.

Any ideas of where I might start looking for the disconnect?

you should be using your stream key anyway, but you cant input the key in the SE menu

Hey @full thunder , quick question. OBS must've lost my stream key due to my changing of passwords. Either way, it won't connect, so I changed me Twitch key, but I noticed when I got to Settings - Stream, It doesn't have a box to input my new stream key. It says I can disconnect my account - but I'm worried I'll lose everything. Do I need to disconnect in order to reconnect with a new stream key? Anyone faced a similar issue?

I have a problem with TTS. It's playing in left ear and it's distorted. On stream it's sounds fine, but i hear it like i described. The same with overlay editor in browser - tts is broken.

Are you sure something is not broken on your side with your windows audio settings if you are hearing it on one side only?

Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts
If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member.

If no, did you configure the size of the Overlay screen in the properties? You must configure the screen size according to the size of the Overlay in the SE (at https://streamelements.com/dashboard/overlays )

@restive oasis in OBS make sure the dock is active. StreamElements > Media Request. If you have the dock already, make sure a browser source is connected to the overlay with your media request widget on it and that the browser source properties properly matching your overlay's resolution.

it seems like if you have any of the docks under the preview window then it creates two "rows" and you cant span the full height. or vice versa, you can have full height but cant stack under the preview

@tight narwhal if you have a headset, make sure that your PC audio is outputting to your headset (it should be if you're getting game audio through it). Depending on how you have your audio set up, it should go to your headphones by default. That's hard to know since everyone changes it a bit

2) Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3) Stop your stream/recording.
4) Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste the link here.

(Note: If you do not see an obsproject.com URL, you will need to update OBS Studio to version 22+)

All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

I have a question. I'm currently setting up Scenes in OBS, and I have an overlay saved in my Overlays under Alerts & Overlays on the website. When I add the link to OBS and save it, I can right click on the source and open properties. Under the URL link it says "Open in STreamElements Overlay Editor" When I click on that button, a StreamElements window opens and says "Uh-oh... Overlay does not exist."

Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard, and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts
If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member.

Hey guys I'm new to obs and know almost nothing. I'm planning on streaming fighting games in the future and I'm trying to get the fightstick motions display to work. Thing is i had it working before i installed obs live and stream elements when only obs studio was installed. All im seeing now is 'press a button' in the fightstick motions overlay in obs whenever i press a button on my stick. My main question is does installing stream elements or obs live change a browser setting i don't know of that I can change or does it flat out not work? Any info is appreciated.

and use the simulate in the editor it should output sound in the editor and in the preview

Sometimes it can be a system failure. What you can do is run Audio Troubleshooting, if it's Windows.

@short loom right. If it's just off fivver it was probably just an image file, right? You can import those as a straight image, not an overlay import. Just make sure the canvas of your purchased overlay image matches the size of your SE overlay

Hello 🙂 - I've never had a problem with OBS before, and I decided to try out OBS Live. It worked perfectly yesterday, however, now that I try and run it I'm getting "OBS has crashed!" error messages that ultimately crash the program. When I uninstall OBS Live, OBS runs perfectly. I've updated OBS to the latest version as well. Would appreciate some guidance!

hello, hoping someone can help me with an issue regarding custom video alerts. i'm trying to upload my own video clips as sub alerts after i trim and edit them in adobe premiere. but when i upload them to my overlay, the video doesn't display, only the sound works. if i just upload the raw video file (before editing it in premiere) it works perfectly fine. it's only after i edit in premiere and export the new video file that i'm having issues. both the raw file and the edited file are in .mp4 format. any ideas?

@vital dew Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website), and ☑ “Shutdown source when not visible” https://youtu.be/KDvLynUqXI4

Trying to determine how to keep my animated webm files from flickering. I have tried setting it as a Asset/Rotation Slide Show and lowering transition time to .1 but when the 35sec animation ends it disappears for a few seconds before the loop restarts. What is the correct way I should add an animated webm file so that is displayed as a continuous loop with not drops.

there is two things you can try @fathom bison, is the overlay dimensions correct? needs to be 1920x1080

and otherwise you have to turn on/off your hardware accel, lets see if the dimensions are correct first

The problem is I have audio on obs however but the audio in the stream on twitch is all messed up ( static ) I have tried on multiple computers in different states and the problem is still there. Question. I have setup a Media Source with an MP3 files for my intro music. When the Scene becomes active the MP3 is visibly playing as evident in the Audio Mixer however no audio is being heard. If i open the properties of the source and save it while still on the stream the playback restarts and you can then hear the audio. This is happening every time I transition to this scene.

@zealous saffron make sure your audio mixer settings (the cog next to your source name, advanced settings) has monitoring enabled. Also make sure any audio properties you need to change, such as your PCs default audio device, are changed prior to opening OBS

(Please follow one of the steps for your set up)

MUTE MR FOR YOURSELF, STREAM CAN HEAR

• Make a new overlay in the editor, ONLY add the media request widget,
• Add a new browser source in OBS, add the URL and set the dimensions correctly,
• Tick the box for "Control audio via OBS"

• Go to Edit > Advanced Audio , set your MR overlay to "Monitor Off"
NOTE: This will play through the Desktop Audio, if you mute your desktop audio, it will mute the MR.

• For this you will need a VAC (use command !vac),
• Run your MR either in Chrome or in Ground Control (use command !gc),
DO NOT CLICK "SHOW ON STREAM"
• Set Chrome or GC in the VAC as an audio input and output,
• Add the audio output from VAC as an audio input in OBS,
NOTE: this will not be able to show the video in OBS

It is currently not possible to separate audio for yourself and stream if you ALSO want to show the video in OBS.
The only way to do this would be to follow the last set of instructions above and then use Window Capture on GC or Chrome.

Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts
If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member.

If you use VoiceMeeter you can configure a virtual audio device to your OBS use it. For example, Potato Audio by default has 2 virtual audio devices (Aux and Vaio3) and you can use one of this devices to separate your audio track from Desktop audio. Then you can set on the Windows 10 in Advanced Sound Settings, on the Volume of the App and Preferences, you can set the OBS to reproduce audio in device audio that you choose (Aux or Vaio3) on your software (VoiceMeeter, Banana Audio, Potato Audio) to play the Media Request track.

#

And, on the OBS > Settings > Audio you can disable all Devices and add your devices manually on the Source > Audio Input/Output Capture ... or use Desktop Audio 2 selecting the OBS's virtual audio device (Aux or Vaio3). If you prefer disable all devices, you will add the virtual audio device configured as a new Source > Audio Output Capture > and select the virtual audio device of OBS. The same for others devices as Desktop audio, Widget/Overlay audio alerts, Microphone... 🙂

I imported my Alert Box from Streamlabs, but when I copy the link and add it as browser source it does not pop up. Even with all other sources invisible. When I go to the overlay editor I don't see a way to import from URL or to integrate my old Alerts. Would be great if someone could let me know how to use my old alerts.

If you've imported your SL alert widget

then make sure you add it properly as size

The default resolution for StreamElements overlays (theme and custom) is 1920x1080. Please add them in OBS at their full resolution and use CTRL+F to fit to screen if necessary. You can then downscale your stream in OBS settings > Video if you'd like https://i.imgur.com/6bWXxjR.png

Is there a reason why all of a sudden my stream has started to vary between 52-60 fps? I haven't changed any settings and my internet speed hasn't changed either...

@mellow obsidian To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website), and ☑ “Shutdown source when not visible” https://youtu.be/KDvLynUqXI4

it usually works, i wanted to stream a new game, like csgo, i selected the specific game,but all i got it s a black screen . and no, i never opened the obs as an admin
