@tribal crane There are no "best settings".
Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard, and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

@tribal crane Then as a human I can say, there is no best settings and no way to help you on this, as we are not knowledgeable on 2PC setups. There are guides on the internet and they might be more informative then we are on this case and situation.

Read it, it gives me hope considering it never talks about a graphic card, but there is no guarantee my cpu will bear the weight. Considering I already have a capture card it is simpler to connect the 2 pcs through that, lowering lan usage and (probably) delay :) thank you for the infos, anyway! You have been very kind :)

if you look at what i posted you will see that that isn't there. I just redownloaded it tonight as the new computer just got set up. Don't worry about it anyway if it isn't a toggle there isn't a point i am going back to just using the mod screen on twitch and reg obs. have a good one.

If you are willing to try another thing, then I would suggest to try and go to "Settings" -> "Stream" -> "Connect" and connect your Twitch account to OBS it self.
Usually when people say that they don't see the BTTV emotes listed in the emote menu, this helps retrieve the emotes for the chat docks.

Howdy team, please let me know if this should be posted elsewhere. I've had this issue before and can't remember how to fix it. Issue is strange lag appears when playing games while OBS/streamelements is running. Don't even have to be streaming. So my game FPS is high and normal, no issues there. OBS is working properly and the stream looks excellent, no encoding issues, no dropped frames, etc. By all accounts all is well. Except the game has this strange lag when obs is running. Game mode on or off doesn't help. Running as admin doesn't help either. Thoughts?

Hey guys, the plugin seems to be crashing my OBS all the time. when I link my account and the activity feed and chat docks open, the main window of obs and all the ui components seem to freeze and be uninteractable. I tried reinstalling both the plugin and OBS, doesn't seem to work.

Even when I just launch OBS after 20 30 seconds, it just freezes. Especially when I click any item in the toolbar

Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard, and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

Dear SE team, I have an issue since the last update. I use my GoXlr already for several months. Before the update I could adjust my music (played either on spotify or the media request in SE) with the music slider and my ingame volume with the system slider (as it should be). After the update the sound of the media request is controlled by the system slider (together with my ingame volume, what is really annoying), and not by the music slider anymore. When I listen to spotify, the music is still controlled by the music slider, as it should be, but the music requested through SE can't be controlled by it anymore. So when I turn the ingame volume up and down, the music of the media request is also changing. Can you help me with that? 🤍

i seem to be having a very weird issue. my obs live was picking up my game as normal but when i updated it, it stopped picking up my game.
it still shows in the properties window for the source (game capture) but the preview window of obs is black.
i tried testing another game, stardew, which works fine, but it seems that an older game i've been playing 'risen' isn't being shown in the preview, just the properties window.

@late furnace Looked into the guides (voicemeeter) and they show noting i already knew.

I can send the pc game audio to a different source, i have to manually do that for every game, which is fine if there's no other way. Problem is that is doesn't seem to work for some games.

I did a test with GTA V, i forced it to a virtual cable and it still plays the audio through the default device. Do you know what the issue could be?

Hi! I’m helping someone set up a chat overlay through OBS. I use stream elements to create it and they use OBS on Mac. The chat will show up on stream elements but doesn’t seem to be sending it to the browser source I’ve made.

Hi, someone has probably already asked for this, but when I open OBS my game starts lagging, I have a 2060 OC, Intel Core i7-9700k and 32gb ram. I should be able to stream CSGO on low settings 144fps. My obs settings is 1920x1080 60fps, Bicubic, x264 with veryfast preset. 6000 kbps, and no overlay. So what can the problem be?

looks like the fix was uninstalling both OBS Live and OBS Studio and reinstalling just OBS Studio, now I can stream again without the crash error

So i figured out the media player only shows up on stream when i press OK, so the replay has saved and is ready to go. Just the player doesnt update when pressing the shortcut button

as there is no ==== Streaming Stop === in the log or any info about drops in the analyser, my only thought at this point is your connection drops to 0.

Go to "Scene Collection" up on the top row
Press "Export" and then point it to where you want to save your scenes

By using the cloud save you can access it from wherever you need as long as you are connected to the internet. (which you hopefully are since you are going to stream)

Just switched over to StreamElements, built my overlays in StreamElements editor, but for the life of me I cannot get my store redemptions to show up...the music plays but no gifs. However, if I have the StreamElements editor open it shows on there, just not within OBS...help?
