then open OBS and then open a new tab in your browser

and type localhost:40404

Hey guys I got a question for obs.live. I'm trying to set it up, with custom bot name. But the 3 checks I need to have before that option is enabled don't work. It's stuck at 'Add streamelements tipping link to your twitch panels'. But there is a tipping link there. Clicking rechecking does nothing. Anyone know what could be the issue please? 🙂

@calm fog Due to a sudden and unforeseen Twitch API change Custom bot name feature through OBS.Live / Ground Control not working temporarily - this means that we cannot get the tipping link from your panels in order to activate the Custom bot name(This includes the tipping settings check).
We are looking into it. No ETA on a fix yet.

@magic maple To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website), and ☑ “Shutdown source when not visible” https://youtu.be/KDvLynUqXI4

Evening yall. So the issue I am having with OBS Live is that I stream on Mixer and FTL is not working. I go into Settings and find under the Streaming tab that the service is not set to Mixer - FTL. I changed it, connected my Mixer account, and Applied the settings. The delay went down significantly, however my FTL is still off and it is a greyed out option on the channel page. Anyone have some advice to figure out the issue or at least get me heading in the right direction?

@fiery moss If your Mixer stream has "Low Latency" greyed out in the player while using OBS.Live, do the following:

1. Stop your stream
2. Go to your stream settings in OBS and return them to your previous settings, where your service is listed as "Mixer.com - FTL"
3. In "live video settings" for OBS.Live on the left-hand side (in the chat window) change the setting on top of the window to "Go Live with Mixer Broadcast Dashboard settings" and press "Go Live!" from there

Your data are reset for no visible reason. I am sorry as I cannot bring them back up. We are looking into this.
I recommend to enter the latest data manually, as we do not get past events from twitch and the data will fill again with your next events.

Over at https://streamelements.com/dashboard/overlays , you can edit the overlay you use by clicking on the little pencil

Then top right of the editor you'll have to click on 'WIDGETS' and choose the alert box

hi, i'm having issue with MediaRequest. If i choose to show on stream, the video mute and not playing sound on desktop audio. If i turn off show on stream, it play the sound but the overlay does not have video. any way to fix this ?

So the MR widget is in a standalone overlay added as a browser source, without the "control audio" option.
The otther overlay with your alerts widget is with the "control audio" option.

And you have them both added to 1 scene, correct?

looks like it's working now .. but with the "control audio via OBS" on for the overlay and mute in the mixer

this MR is pretty buggy in my experience with the state of audio

We cannot import transitions. You would need to upload the videos for the transitions as Stinger transiton effect to your OBS studio.

i am trying to use obs live to stream to twitch. although i use my stream key it keeps giving the error that i could nto connect cause the key is wrong or it can not connect to the server. though the chat box pops up and works....

well it is enabled in twitch. from the twitch studo app. i was using before i installed OBS live. but i didn't like it's functionality.

As long as you have 2FA enabled, you should be able to authenticate to your Twitch account inside the OBS Settings >> Stream and you should be able to stream

could this be an error caused because i was using another streaming app to multi stream to twitch and facebook at the same time ?

i could use that app i guess, though i much prefer the streamelements look and it would be prefect for my needs if it had an in-game overlay for chat. as i play and stream on one monitor.

My recommendation for monitoring chat would be to watch your stream on your phone. I watch mine on my phone so I can also monitor quality while watching chat

Due to the way laptops are designed, your system must be configured to run OBS on a specific GPU, depending on the type of capture you are trying to do.

hey guy i hope this is not just me but im getting frames missed due to render lag and my fps dropping to half for no reason. i have a streaming pc and its using an i5 6500 and a 980 rtx gpu. it was all working fine a little while ago and i thought that the reason it was not working was because of my hard drive. i now have everything on an ssd and im still having the problem. i have updated everything and have checked the levels in task manager but nothing is bottle necking. i have tried it on just one scene with a video playing no browsers and still getting the drops 😦 any help would be great 🙂

This is going to seem stupid, but create a new Scene collection by clicking on Scene Collections >> New and start adding sources until it crashes. Whichever source you added last is why it blows up
