there are 2 ways to fix this:
- Uninstalling OBS.Live, removing all browser sources, installing OBS.Live
- Trying to just update OBS Studio via their installer and then update OBS.Live via our installer.
But maybe one of the 3 folders is an issue.

the ideato remove obs.live, remove all browser sources, install obs.live
and seeing which overlay is causing the crash of the browser source is to try and pinpoint what is making it crash

browser sources depend on how quick your pc can download it and how much content is on there.
you can either set your browser source to not shutdown when changing scenes (however this can cause issues and isnt recommended for parts of the overlays)

have a custom stinger transition that hides the loading of the source

Ok, so I'm having an issue where I have multiple scenes set up on my OBS but when someone triggers an event, all the alert boxes proc at once, usually resulting in multiple audio files and animations playing, which also ends up usually crashing my OBS. Does anybody know how to set up OBS to only use the alert box for the current scene youre using and to automatically disable all others unless that scene is being used?

Hi, I'm having a problem with the alert box and just overlay in general from StreamElements. I've set up the browser source in my OBS and put the link from the StreamElements Overlay. The overlay itself works fine but when I try to emulate a follower or something, the alert box doesn't show up on my OBS. I've been trying to figure this out for about an hour and can't figure it out.

Hey, I have a weird thing with alerts. Some day the alerts begin to stutter. The alerts start, then pauses for maybe 2-3 seconds and then continuous. And it's more or less arbitrarily when it pauses and continuous. It seems like the bigger files are affected, which means longer alerts. I have not changed anything in SE. What can I do? 😫

You can check if it behaves any different with Browser Source Hardware Acceleration on or off but beyond that it's recommended you switch to webm so you're not loading 14+MB files every time an alert goes off.

Hi, there is one obs-browser-page that hogs up 50% of my ryzen 2700x, if i close it from task manager, all my scenes and alerts still work, which makes me think its something from obslive using that browser source

It might be a loaded browser source in another scene that doesn't have "Shut down when in active" on
Have all 3 docks open(activity feed, chat and media request) and do the same thing
if nothing of the 3 docks "crashes" then its not our docks - you are killing something else.

i have checked all my scenes, every one of them has shut down when inactive checked
usually it doesnt start with obs, after a while, my game starts dropping to low 60fps and i check task manager and its one obs browser page hogging up the cpu
right now that browser page is upto 16% i believe

Well one way to find out which browser source it is, is the above way and if its not the docks, then its a browser source that is being active
Killing it from the task manager, won't help you determine which one it is
so maybe its best to start deleting the actual browser source from the souirces list to see which one it might be
you can always make a backup of your scenes

Hmm dunno if I can ask that here but since it's related to SE.Live...
So I was streaming until at some point the audio went crazy and start to echo in my mic. Using Voicemeeter and Virtual Audio Cable, I checked them, reinstalled them, make sure the soft wasn't sending my desktop audio back in my mic... But now, my microphone isn't anymore detected if I selected the voicemeeter output, which is how it worked for months before... I can only use stock microphone option for stream to hear me...
anyone alreayd encounter such behaviour/issue before ?

I think I ran everything to one output in VM, set that as my OBS capture, then monitored everything on the 2nd OBS output to my headset
