Hi everyone, was wondering if this is an option on the overlays, I was hoping to move an entire set of widgets to another location on the overlay, is that possible? The only way I can find is to move 1 by 1 and I can never get it looking good when I do that..

One last question, there seems to be more Super Themes when I use my Twitch account logged in than when I log in with YouTube. I copied them over to the YouTube page (as far as which account I am logged in with on StreamElements Website). That doesn't affect anything right?

Some widgets are not available on YouTube. Copying is not usually recommended unless you're prepared for some editing.

Ah I see.. I like the Orange Metropolis one that I found on the Twitch page but couldn't find it on YouTube.. I copied them over, ran a test and it showed ok on the stream.. I'm a bit new, are those Widgets on the stream actually interactable? Meaning if someone hovers over the widgets if I am streaming on Twitch it takes them to that site?

Does StreamElements have a "library" of videos or animations? For instance, on the Orange Metropolis theme, I duplicated one of the social banners for "Discord" but I don't have an animated "discord" video to add to the overlay.. Something I'd have to get on my own?

So quick question, I did the changes I wanted in the "Start" overlay, grouped the widgets together, copied to the "Talk" overlay.. Now I open to edit it and it's basically.. missing everything from the overlay except the background..?
On Layers, if I hide the BACKGROUND layer I can see the overlay but all widgets are greyed out..
Well, got it back, deleted that BACKGROUND layer.. but that wasn't the one I copied from one overlay to the other..
Oh I see what I did.. I had selected the background as a widget to copy over, good now! 👍

Hey! So I've been having this issue since 2 weeks ago. Once I try to open my obs it just doesn't open anymore, in task manager it says that it's now running in the background but if I try to open another one it shows that it's already running so do I want to launch another one instead. When that pops up the purple bar 'streamer mode'' on discord shows up which means there is still something that works. I completely uninstalled obs/streamelemts and redownloaded it and made the entire finishing touches and had to reorganize everything. I closed it and another later I decided to open it and I have the same problem again. Is this where I am supposed to ask/what do I need to do to fix this?

Hello! I use streamelements OBS and am wanting to do a charity stream tomorrow for St. Louis Children’s Hospital. They have a donation page, but it can’t be found on Tiltify or Just Giving. Is there another way for me to link the charity to my overlay so I don’t have to manually insert who tipped what and all of that stuff is done for me? I don’t want toppers to tip directly to me and have me donate for them, but I still want their donations to pop up on screen.

Having issues. The past 2 streams I have had a friend raid me with it showing up in the activity feed but no onscreen sounds or video. when I clicked the replay icon on that event in the list it went off with the video and sound. About 20 min later another raid came in and it went off without any issue. I've tested them in the editor and they work fine. Any idea why this is happening?

- All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
- Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

Hey guys, I have a strange question. I'm doing a redesign of my stream and I'm looking for a way to play a video on a repeatable timer. What I mean by that is, is there a way to set what video you want to play in OBS then have that video play every 30min (for example) and have that cycle repeat?
I don't want to have to export an hour long video just to have certain videos play at certain time intervals on repeat. (I tried this already, the render time was 53h) What I'm mainly looking for is hopefully a plugin. I really don't want to have another program running in the background but I'm willing to make sacrifices if need be.

I only have browser sources, 1 media source, a cam, and a mic. The media source ive tried to enable and also disable the hardware decoding option but the CPU still bounces irratically. Anything else I can do? I just added a widget from the new SE theme store, could that be the issue?

Hey guys, I have a strange question. I'm doing a redesign of my stream and I'm looking for a way to play a video on a repeatable timer. What I mean by that is, is there a way to set what video you want to play in OBS then have that video play every 30min (for example) and have that cycle repeat?
I don't want to have to export an hour long video just to have certain videos play at certain time intervals on repeat. (I tried this already, the render time was 53h) What I'm mainly looking for is hopefully a plugin. I really don't want to have another program running in the background but I'm willing to make sacrifices if need be.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question, so I apologize, when I open up OBS and use my Yeti Blue mic I get a ridiculous echo whenever I talk. However, I was streaming Wednesday night and everything was working fine, no echo, I sounded good. I didn't change any of the settings and I went to stream today and I can hear myself in my headphones whenever I talk and there is an echo. There is about a 1-2 second delay when I talk and when I hear myself. I can't figure out what happened for the life of me and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem or knows how I can fix it. Thanks 🙂

I just built a pc for a dedicated streaming pc, so drivers could very well be my issue. My webcam(s) the brio and c920 work great no delay in the Logitech software when I set them to 1920x1080. But when I set them to that in obs live there is a 2 second delay. I’ve changed every setting known to change. If I leave the webcam at the device default (so it’s a square and not 16:9) there is zero delay. To me it sounds like a driver issue but it only does this in obs.live.

this is because the link doesn't have an html structure of target=_blank which would open it in a new window/tab now in programming docks for obs studio the programmer would need to listen for a page redirect event then prevent that default event and replace it with a open in new window event for all page redirects (could get messy)

Sorry for the cross-channel posting. I am using a supertheme with OBS / OBS.live. Is there a way to automatically "set" the game and webcam? The webcam shows in different spots on different scenes. Hoping to find a way around having to manually move my video capture feed.

hi.. i had my obs all done and setup with browser-templates and cam etc two days ago. Yesterday when i started the stream - my stream wouldnt start lagging, it was like if it had 3fps while running 90fps in game... i've been through all settings i can think of but cant make it better... today when i try to stream my ingame fps goes down from 144fps to 25fps aswell and that only goes back up to 144fps as soon as i exit obs studio/elements, no matter if i have the stream up and running or not
was there any update i dont remember? what can i have managed to done without knowing that ive done anything at all?

Hi all, I have a strange problem not sure if its been mentioned before, basically when i go live via obs to twitch with streamelements live addon my stream is live if i goto twitch via a web browser but is NOT showing as live if i go via a mobile device such as an iphone etc which is completely bizarre, it simple says this person was LIVE x minutes ago.. and I can then view a short clip. Usually there are several things that can go cause the import not finishing:
- Copyrighted assets (the default ones from SLOBS)
- custom coded widgets that are really big(the code is really long and big)
- Assets over 10MB

Install OBS Studio back and use the uninstaller in the OBS.Live install folder to uninstall the plugin OBS.Live.
If you want to delete your user settings of OBS Studio, then yes, you would activate that.
I recommend to export your scene collections and your profiles before deleting, just as a backup.

Considering we're not Streamlabs and have absolutely zero connection to them or their system, that's just a coincidence.
Also, don't import Nerd or Die overlays from Streamlabs, that won't work. You need to install them using the StreamElements instructions Nerd or Die provides in their packages.

Nerd or Die provides specific instructions for installing their overlays with StreamElements. You need to use those instructions and basically forget about the ones you imported.

Nerd or Die ISNT tho is what Im trying to say. My text file for "Latest Follower" is a link from streamlabels. I wanted to know if Streamelents has their own textfiles so I dont have to keep Streamlabels open for it to update on streamelements while streaming.

Everything you want to display on stream is added to an overlay in your account on the site, and the overlay itself is added to OBS as a browser source.
Zero references to local files are used in our system.

morning all. hoping someone can help answer a couple of questions. i use to use OBS Live on Twitch for over a year but a few months ago, switched over to Mixer for a change. I believe i can use OBS for Mixer but can't seem to connect to online stats etc like i could with Twitch. Can anyone just assist me with some more info on this and is there something i'm missing? OBS.Live doesn't have mixer support.
We are working on it, but no ETA on when.
But afaik, you can still connect your Mixer account within OBS Studio

that button is also in the docks in obs.live you may have pressed on accident you should be fine
in the editor i went to emulate a follow event and the error showed at the bottom of the screen that it was paused.

When I switch scenes the media request mutes for a moment. Is there a way to avoid this without overloading my cpu (i have each scene to shut down when not visible )? I've switched to OBS.live, the stream always has viewer's song requests playing and most scenes have it visible.

Make MediaRequest its own scene and set this up one time (as not shutdown) and in the other scenes add this source as via add existing.

You'll need to check with the capture card's support to see if there might be a way to do it, but OBS itself on your streaming PC won't be able to remove the cursor from the gaming PC.

@stark herald Make sure to ☑ “Shutdown source when not visible” for all browser sources (all OBS scenes). Hello. Wondering I could get some help trouble shooting an issue. Using OBS.Live I'm unable to pull Overlays from my stream group Stream Elements page. It loads fine when the URL is placed in chrome or any browser, but OBS.Live seems to have an issue locating it, as when I try to 'Open in StreamElements Overlay Editor' it is unable to locate it.

Would someone be able to help me figure out what I need to do to troubleshoot my OBS with recording?
I am able to stream games smoothly and without any issues, however once i try to record a game and watch the recorded file back it looks very choppy.
while recording my game does not lag at all, and i dont see any errors in OBS live. its just after i open the saved file that i realize it seems to have been recording very choppy

Hey guys, I am trying to rename a text in the layers section of the editor to change the default "/Instagram" text to my actual instagram handle in the overlay and when I do it doesn't change. To my knowledge(as I don't edit video files and don't really understand audio tech), recording in .mkv allows the person editing the file to extract the audio channels.
Or edit the audio in general
So, if someone downloads the recording from googledrive and its the appropriate file format, i guess the answer is yes.
