Have you saved the overlay editor?

if your canvas is not 1920x1080 on obs, you'll need to adjust it, press control+f while having the browser source selected, or right click and look for fit to window or something similar

Due to the way laptops are designed, OBS must run on the Integrated GPU to use Display Capture. This process effectively disables Game Capture and Window Capture. Note the name of the counter is not always the same as the name of the command. It's what's used in the counter variable, i.e. ${count countername}

I am trying to stream pokemon onto my PC from an AverMedia Live Gamer Portable. The audio from OBS is playing twice on stream. It is catching the audio coming from the switch and playing it. so i was streaming earlier at 1000-1500 bitrate, and the stream was going totally fine, until all of a sudden, my stream dropped to 0 kb/s, and was outputting literally nothing to twitch at all, for a couple seconds. the result of this, is that obs just stopped streaming, and my stream died, i had to restart the whole thing. i am ASSUMING this is because im on wireless internet and i am just briefly losing my wifi connection, long enough to have the stream die. if i had an ethernet cable (which i am getting soon) it would fix the problem i'd assume, since i can stream at 60 fps normally with no problems at all.

my question is, how likely is it that me disconnecting from wifi is the problem here, and how likely is it that there is something else at play?

so I have two problems... my overlay alerts are not running in stream as of last night... they worked Sunday but in the intermission they stopped working. I fiddled around in OBS.Live and the test screen for the overlays and sometimes they would work but mostly they wouldn't. The second issue is that I mis-clicked or something and my OBS.Live chat window has changed to show all of twitch like it is on Twitch.tv instead of whatever it should be on for the chat window to function.

If you are using OBS.Live -> on the activity feed dock -> 3 horizontal lines on the top left -> stream settings -> viewer count toggle

Do note that there is an unwritten rule to not call out lurkers. If you do, you risk loosing the majority of your current viewers

what settings you are using

Hi guys, I just wanted to know if this is normal, I have an upload speed of 87 Mbps, but my OBS says that my streaming can only go up to 720p 60 fps and a 4k bitrate, I need some help with this please as I want to stream in a better resolution and also on a better bitrate if this is possible, will appreciate your help a lot 😀

There is no output session in this lgo file. Please provide a log with a stream.

To make a clean log file, please follow these steps:

1. Restart OBS.
2. Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3. Stop your stream/recording.
4. Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Send that link via this troubleshooting tool or whichever support chat you are using.

set it to 70 - 85% of your total upload speed

if you are the only one using the network when streaming then there will be less stress on the bandwidth

If you have an alertbox in the active overlay, then the alert should show up.
The Super Themes have an alertbox on every scene.
