Hello, I am having some instability with my stream as it relates to the upload. I am using the bandwidth test mode and when I have no games open, the upload is steady, however when opening a game and trying to stream it, the upload goes bananas. I am seeing this via the windows task manager/network area.

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with the media request feature that wasn't there before. I think it started with the most recent update.
If I try to share the video/song on screen, I hear the audio of it twice with a slight delay and so do my viewers.
I checked "Shutdown source when not visible" in the setting of every browser source and although I don't use the studio mode, I also unchecked “Swap Preview/Output scenes After Transitioning.” there.
I used the Media Request feature for a while now and it always worked fine till a few days ago so I wonder if it's just a temporary bug or if someone found a solution to it?

wondering if anyone else obs has been dropping frames way bad lately? some reason this seems to happen randomly to me im assuming sometimes when im streaming where ill have like 30% loss and once it stables up and gets to a certain % it goes red again. sometimes happens for a few hours or sometimes days. like i said its very randomly and doesnt really have a pinpoint reason why it happens not sure if its the servers or what

@flat canopy If you are sure you have the "shutdown source when not visible" on every browser source, then do this -> close OBS -> open OBS -> play a song -> show on stream -> if there is no echo -> switch scene -> do this until you start hearing an echo -> when you do, go back to the previous scene and check for the option again.

- Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

@crimson drift the premades for the most part are set to 1920 x 1080 resolution and you may be using a different canvas size in obs. You can also click on any label and in the editor and unlock it then edit the size

@warm herald Since Apex Legends doesn't have optimized GPU drivers yet, it tends to take up all your GPU resources, leaving nothing for OBS. If you're having OBS performance issues, you'll likely need to limit the game somehow. The easiest way to do this is to enable Vsync in the game, or use a frame limiter. You can limit the game to 60fps by adding `+fps_max 60` to the game's launch properties in Origin.

@muted peak our tool is not allowed to copy graphics that are copywritten by SLOBS. Also sometimes they block our plugins from taking certain assets.

HI! Hopefully someone can help me with this. I switched over to StreamElements about a month ago and love it. I have been using OBSLive as well and I think it's fantastic. The only issue I've had is with my alerts. When I'm offline and testing my alerts, the audio plays through my computer fine. When I'm live, though, the alerts are silent for me. I know they still play over the stream, as my audience tells me they can hear them, but I can not so I end up missing alerts as a result. Does anyone have a solution for this?

OBS.Live is a plugin for OBS Studio. It doesn't mess with audio settings. And again, there's absolutely no difference between a live alert and a replayed alert where audio is involved. If a replayed alert plays, then a live alert should too.

I've replayed alerts during stream before and they are silent. I replayed the alert when I was offline about 5 minutes ago and it was audible
I'm not disputing anything you've said so far. It's correct as far as my understanding goes, as well. There shouldn't be any difference when I'm online as opposed to offline.

Well, now I really don't understand this crash because I just noticed that only certain scenes crash it on close yet I have another scene that is doing essentially the same thing and it doesn't cause a crash
It seems to crash on scenes that aren't displaying the browser source. If I'm using a scene that has the browser source being displayed then I can close without a crash just fine.

So I read when setting up the browser source for the overlays you need to click 'shutdown source' when not visible. But when I got back to a scene that has a overlay that is shutdown atm how can I speed up the time it takes to populate that browser source, my game and camera show up then a second or so the overlay shows.

for some reason my overlays scrolling text for followers subs etc are no longer scrolling however, if i go into the overlay editor and toggle the scrolling option on them and save again they work properly. Any ideas why its suddenly stopped and i need to manually trigger the scrolling text?

Ya I really don't understand whats going on, cpu usage is between 30-45% and video encoding on the cpu is around 40% , I have vert sync on in the game and maxed at 60fps and its still overloading. Even changed down the downscale filter. And still overloading

If you can hear it when using your computer's speakers/headphones, then it's coming through to your computer and nothing needs to be changed with your PS4.

Is there a way to make it so media request automatically enables and disabled shows on stream based on what scene im in?
for example if i go to live game scene it automatically disabled show in stream, and when i go to my intermission scene it automatically enables? so as to prevent the need of alt tabbing out or causing missing audio
or perhaps to make it so on one scene, the media request shows the video and the other scene it hides video?

i just found a glitch/bug whatever i will explain I'm using obs.live and stream elements overlays i had issue with lagging sources but all i had to do was enable media request launch it then re dock it and disable it again from top menu under stream elements and uncheck media request and now my sources are fine and running smooth must be something going on under the hood but this workaround works every time i open the software

Is anyone getting ingest issue with nitrates. For example I have very fast internet and stream at 6000kps easily. But for some reason this week ( I changed nothing ) my signal bar has been changing colors all over the place. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it seemed to help the issue a little bit. You will have to move the widgets in the overlays a bit towards the center -> save -> exit editor -> use small pencil next to name of overlay -> change resolution from 1080p to custom

then just press CTRL + F on the browser source to fit it to your canvas size

- Redemable via chat
- Skip Requirements
- Get the item name/command from the 2nd creation page

- Add command with desired name and have response for command as:
${redeem item_name_here} - Go to your overlays and edit the overlay you use.
- Click on "widgets" and add "Store redemptions" widget. Click save and you should be golden.
