You can manually type in a resolution. That said, it's probably better to keep it at 1080p and downscale your display/game/window capture.

You likely did not correctly add the overlay to OBS at the right resolution.
Overlays should be added at 1920x1080 unless you yourself have changed the resolution on the site.

They use what they need to use. If it's too much for your computer to handle, start removing the more intensive widgets, such as kappagen and hypecup, and switch from animated to static assets.

you can export your streamdeck profiles
and import them back after re-install

the only thing you may have to do is re-connect accounts under the streamdeck preferences

Try just deleting and remaking the browser source completely from scratch. Paste the overlay, 1920x1080. Check if the canvas hasn't been set too big in the settings.

The most likely reason the browser source looks off in his is because he's manually changed its dimensions. It's why I said delete and remake it. A new browser source will be created snapped to the top left of the canvas. If it's properly added at the right size, which matches your canvas, it should fit perfectly.

Found something strange if anyone can help me. I've streamed perfectly fine for months but since 3 days ago i started getting dropped frames. What i'm finding odd is i have ran a bandwidth test with just a black window and it has sat at my 4500 bitrate for 12 mins now.
The second i turn on my capture card or even just a window display of something on the streaming pc, the bitrate starts fluctuating and i drop frames again?

@radiant pulsar Elgato said that if re-installing the software does not fix the issue, they recommend uploading some logs to them using the reporting tool found at https://help.elgato.com/customer/portal/articles/1287432-how-do-i-use-the-elgato-windows-reporter-utility- so they can diagnose. They also mentioned downgrading to version 4.2 as a temporary fix.

@fast sluice OBS installs both 32 bit and 64 bit. If you are running a 32 bit system, I highly recommend upgrading to a 64-bit system. The 32bit system is limited in the amount of RAM it can see (4gb), and that alone would make your life tough. Having 64-bit is very much a necessity anymore

Hey support. I am doing the transition from SLOBS to Stream Elements. I downloaded OBS and trying to set up my scene transitions im using a stinger and tried using the same settings as i did for SLOBS and nothing is working. My screen blackens out before my stinger starts and then takes longer to come back after my stinger is done.

We only make an add-on for OBS Studio
If stream is randomly disconnecting this would be an issue within the core of OBS Studio which we don't develop
One suggestion I can make is to check your OBS hotkeys as you may have accidentally set a hotkey to stop streaming

Hi all im having some trouble with my stream elements alerts my resubs are not getting the same alert as a first time sub instead they are getting the default shark alert also i see to get 2 noise alerts for any sub or follower. i have 2 different alert boxes and 1 of them i have allowed the alert noise to come through the other i have disallowed it and it still comes trough any help will be great TIA

I just spent the time setting up my alerts and notifications but I have no way to test them to see if they work properly, and if I attempt to use streamlabs obs it goes back to using the default alerts and notifications and not the custom ones I just made.

@cobalt pawn You can test Alerts via the bell on the lower right corner of the Overlay Editor. Simply go to your Dashboard -> My Overlays -> Pencil/edit button on the overlay. Make sure the "Show Emulated events on stream" option is on to see the alert in OBS/Xsplit https://streamable.com/h6qgy

My new stinger transition lags a bit and it is only 11mb and i notice my cpu lately is running 95% but in obs it shows 10% usage but some of my alerts lag as well. I have changed bit rate, resolution. someone said try using x.264 instead of nvenc is that a good idea?

i know i wouldn't want to use x.264 if my cpu is spiking

@olive temple If my memory is correct: Right click on the source -> Should be Audio Properties -> Click Monitoring + Output.
As that should let you & the stream hear the audio from that source.

Well I have been using the awesome OBS.Live By STreamElements.. yet as of late something strange has been happening
Each time i go to start OBS like i normally do.. i now get a pop up windows from OBS.Live by Stream Elements
and it says "OBS.live needs an update.. and it gives the option to update now or not now or do not ask again.. yet when i click update now i get an error window

after testing it a few times, the gif doesn't seem to play from the begging in OBS live but on the store page it plays from start to end.
it seems to play from where the store preview image is at, if that makes sense.

i should say it only happens with the variants of the sub the normal one works fine.
when you trigger a 'gifted sub' the sound starts then a second later starts again playing at the same time like an echo...

It's a browser source in OBS, too. SLOBS is just a stripped down fork of OBS.
But you need to actually set up an alertbox in your StreamElements account on the site.
Your "Alert" overlay in particular is empty. I'm assuming that's where you wanted to add an alertbox widget.
If you still have the editor open and actually added one in, perhaps you didn't click Save yet?

This theme is created by SL team and I am pretty confident they didn't gave you those rights (correct me if I am wrong), so just for your own safety - don't use "platform specific" themes on other services.
