hi Ive been streaming fortnite for awhile and never ran into any issues and tonight I decided to try and stream apex legends but everytime im in game my stream is crazy laggy and saying encoder overloaded but my cpu usage is low and it says it doesnt break 60 fps on OBS is there anyway someone can help me

15 minutes after a stream ends, the session resets.
As a result, no tokens will preload into the cup until you've received events in that session.
If you haven't received any events between 15 minutes after the end of your stream and when you're opening OBS next, the cup will be empty.

All this is happening when im not streaming, just so we get that out of the way.
Wy is it, when running a game at 100-110 fps and by just starting your live overlay in OBS, one drops to 75-80 frames? Is it only because the browser sources eats that much power from your PC. I just cant understand it at the moment, and im using a normal overlay, nothing fancy.

I have noticed that the kappagen overlay is a heavy one for your GPU to be rendered. Please try to disable or even delete the layer in the overlay manager and clear the browser source cache.

btw in Properties for Overlay in OBS should one Check or leave it unchecked "Refresh browser when scene becomse active"

I think you can let it unchecked, just when you are experiencing issues like the overlay manager is dosplaying something totally different than the OBS screen, I would select the button to clear the browser cache one time to see, if ti fixes the problem.

I had to restart the computer for the timer to reset. Is this normal?

Internally the widgets asks a Twitch API, how long you have been Live. So the data send by the API are used to build the uptime. If you are not Live, the counter starts from 0, as soon as the overlay is loaded.

Was live but noticed the stream had the counter for longer then i was live. Then started obs with a new session and the timer was still counting from the previous stream.
Restarted the computer and is fine now.

well, the portion of the deck that controls things like kappagen works fine but you can no longer switch scenes via the stream deck

switching streams has to do with Stream Deck and OBS, not OBS.live -- that's just an extension for StreamElements on the regular OBS program

@rare turret Right now the only thing I can send you is love and courage because this is a very complex situation since there way of handeling overlays is very old, and cot a lot of cpu for a reason....
However I heard a while ago that our magicians in the Unicorn Factory soon be able to make the impossible possible.
Since there isnt a stamp on that certificate yet.... I can only tell you to be strong and.... Pack your boxes , order a moving truck, put them all in the truck... maybe pause for a Day, stream in your old home, remember why you do all this because you probably will be annoyed by the amount of CPU drain and difficulties you will encounter as usual, Sleep over it and bundle the remaining energy to drive that Truck to your new home, unpack those boxes and decorate your new home.
After that you will be so happy you finally moved to StreamElements I even bet on it ❤

the lag is cause by the rendering, so sorting the above out might help.
you can also look into using the new NVENC encoder,
just make sure that PVT and look-ahead are turned off.

I have been having extreme frame drops with one game I have been trying to stream. I have the graphics set to low and all my OBS settings set to where they need to be. Hello, this is not really OBS Live help, but didn’t know what other channel to post in 😃 so I’m playing on my PS4, and in order to get overlays on my streams, I have my pc, downloaded OBS Live, and also PS4 Remote Play, but PS4 Remote Play is super laggy. My question is: is there any other app/program that allows you to broadcast your PS4 onto there in order to have overlays on your PS4 streams?

Option 1: Make sure the overlay you're using in your in-game scene has the media share widget too.
Option 2: Put media share widget onto its own overlay and use the "use existing" option in OBS to essentially use the single overlay across all of your scenes.

If it's the notification, you can use streamer mode within Discord. It will block any notification as long as you are streaming.
If it's about the voice part, so that only you will hear the people but your stream isn't, you should look into Voicemeeter to have Discord on a separate sound channel which you exclude from the stream, but which you connect to your headset... 😃

- Settings -> Stream -> disconnect -> connect

To get your game capture create a scene, select the plus in the sources and add game capture. Maybe you have to start OBS as admin, if the game capture shows a black screen when focussing the game.
To add an overaly, copy the overlay url from our system and paste it with the resolution 1920x1080 as source from type broswer to your sources with the plus iron at the bottom of the sources.
The resolution of the overlay in the my overlays section and the resolution of the browser source should be the same as your monitors. normally 1920x1080 (1080p). The downscaling to twitch can be done in OBS in the settings > video > Output scaled resolution (normally 1280x720 -> 720p)
At the same place you can select your fps values.

For twitch prime, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. started up stream elements obs and all the stream elements sections, activity feed, chat etc are just white like they are not loading, tried logging out and that was also a big white screen

- Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live ( 19.3.24.375)
- exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
- delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
- start OBS.Live
- Settings -> Stream -> disconnect -> connect

other thing you can try is to delete the cache folder
before uninstalling

and just delete the cache
and restart OBS

ok got it all fixed, deleting the cache didn't do anything but just for reference the following steps seem to have corrected it:
uninstalled obs live from within obs
closed obs down
went to elements dashboard and re-downloaded
re-installed and did all updates
started it up and all screens are back to normal

The NVENC Encoder failed to start due of a variety of possible reasons. Make sure that Windows Game Bar and Windows Game DVR are disabled and that your GPU drivers are up to date.
You can perform a clean driver installation for your GPU by following the instructions at https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/performing-a-clean-gpu-driver-installation.65/
If this doesn't solve the issue, then it's possible your graphics card doesn't support NVENC. You can change to a different Encoder in Settings > Output.

You can select the layer in the lower left by scrolling through the layers. My tipp is to bring the actual layer you are trying to edit or move to the first position, position it correctly and put it back in order in the layers.

You should be able to resize the layer by grabbing it at the bottom right and drag it in the right size. The layer has to be editable and not blocked behind another elements in the layers list.

alert box for one, so I resize the alert box but the text and everything doesnt .. I have to manually enter the numbers of hirght width Top left px font size line height plus the advanced side of the text options
