i mean obs.live is perfect addon, but obs for example is not having labels for notifications. And if streamlabs does then theres no such cool feature as Media Request if im not wrong

i have an overlay where all everything looks fine when launching/editing it but whenever i open it up in obslive, the main background is missing half the time. Sometimes it shows up, but after switching scenes and coming back to it, it disappears. Sometimes it never shows back up even if I restart Obslive

Hello I wanted to ask if there is an option with which I can use a hotkey to send a command in the chat. I only have 2 hotkeys in the activity feed. (reload Overlay, skip Alert) Similar to pressing a button on the streamdeck.
For example I extended my programmable keys with the keys F13-F24. I would like to use F13 as an example and then a command from the streamelement Bot would be sent. Is this already possible ? Or is this planned in the near future?

@queen hill As the overlays are browser sources, they take some time to load in. But they should load after a while. You can try to readd the source completely.

ive tried readding the browser source but same issue as clearing browser cache. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Everything else in the browser source loads fine except the background only. The background is just a 3sec clip on loop.

Steps to enable custom name
- Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
- Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
- Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
- Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
- Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)
Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

Hello, follow alerts getting through, but i dont receive sub alerts - like nothing, no alert, sound, gif, it is not even shown in the side bar in OBS.Live.
Someone subbed to me on friday and it is not shown in my feed, but another guy who subbed when i was offline is there. And just hour ago another sub didnt show, no alert, nothing.
I havent changed anything in my setting, so I dont know where is the problem.

@frigid glen Twitch Prime (new and resub) and paid subscriptions (resub only) must be shared in chat manually by the person subscribing in order for the subscription information to be sent to StreamElements. For Twitch Prime, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. For paid subs, if the share box doesn't show up immediately it will when they refresh the page.
In addition, we're aware of an issue on Twitch's end that when someone newly subs to someone, there seems to be a 50/50 chance of the new sub not being shared by Twitch in the channel's chat, which means that we won't be getting the new sub information. If you've used the auto config wizard on SLOBS, most likely it was not setup properly from it.
Even OBS Studio's auto config as far as I know is not recommended to be used.
As for why really? Can't really tell.

I've just gone live but my chat in OBS is still showing someone else's stream chat. I have tried reloading it, closing and reopening it, and reloading it again, but no joy. How can I get it to show my chat without having to quit out of OBS and restart, as I am already live?

Log out and log back in using StreamElements > Log out at the top in OBS. This can be done in OBS.Live while being live. It will not affect your stream. Just the chat and the actifity feed will reload.

If you have been using SLOBS until now, afaik, their scene collection is a different format than the standard OBS Studio format.
But its worth trying to export the scene collection from SLOBS and trying to import it to OBS Studio.

Getting back to the issue, to repeat: If you're hearing double audio it's because you have media request open in multiple places/overlays. If you're not using Show on stream, then it's not playing from overlays, so you need to make sure you don't have Media request open in multiple places, like in OBS.Live and browser and Ground Control.

In Stream store, when you are adding a new item, and if you make it one that will be only a sound, the sound volume slider does not work in there. The sound will often play at full volume, and often to loud for the stream. No way to adjust it. Just thought i would say it here.

So i just did a full installation of OBS, Streamelements OBS and NDI on both computers. NDI does not show up when i launch OBS.Live but DOES show up when i launch basic OBS. something is definitely happening.

They might have a better idea what is going on and we can fix that together.

Not the converter.. NDI settings are in the tool, the routing is in the tool, the output is just a source in OBS in that case..
And please ask in the official OBS forum for further support, since i can't do much more here. They have a way better understanding of the NDI plugins.

The stream seems to be perfectly fine. I treid using the twitch inspector which tells me as well that everything seems to be fine with the stream. What could be the issue here? Should reinstall OBS?

I needed to log out of Streamelements inside of OBS in order to have access to all of the features of the Stream Deck and now I am unable to log back in. Whenever I click connect with twitch it just becomees unresponsive.
in case this ever comes up again for anyone else, I needed to uncheck always on top and change view to multiscreen windowed and it kept me from blocking the twitch login from popping up.

Actually, relogging for problems with the docks is often the fix for it. Same for the docks that OBS.Live adds but there you have to relog via the StreamElements menu at the top

@long quest we have the same issue, Even before the update I would always lose all my panels every time I launch OBS, it’s annoying. The only way I found to get it back is by typing something random on your own chat which will trigger you to logon to twitch via the chat panel. Once you login all your panels including stream information will populate again. It definitely has something to do with Stream Elements not retaining your twitch login after closing OBS, not sure if that’s by design or it can’t possibly retain your login once you close OBS. This has been going on for months now

I followed the steps to turn it off so I'm not sure. Also I streamed for about 1-2 min then generated the log file so also not sure why it's empty

You keyboard and mouse is way too loud. There's no good way to filter them out. You should get your mic closer to your mouth so it's further away from the keyboard/mouse

Twitch sends us a lot of host notifications at onces and majority of them are 0 viewer hosts, so either we might filter ones by accident and think they are automatic ones, or we just don't receive it due to the amount of host events which might have not been send from twitch.

I think this is not possible in the StreamElements Overlay Editor. I think you have to do this yourslef. But the looping media do not start from the beginning for example when an alert happens. Afaik do they keep rotating in the background and just get visible when the alert happes for example. At least is this for gifs as far as I know.

Just a moment. Before I do that, I think I fixed the issue. It's to do with Twitch chat, not StreamElements. Instead of a stream key, I used the "log in to twitch" option.
I switched it up, logged out of Twitch and now using the Stream Key. It's not happening anymore.
Do you think that is the issue?

Hello there. I'm fairly new to the streaming world, and my pick was StreamElements OBS.Live.
I understand how to use it, got a fancy overlay working, partially.
My problem is, that my alerts won't show. I know they're not supposed to pop up on my "main" screen, where my gaming is, but on my secondary monitor, it should show, right? With sound too, right? Because I get no sound either. I have to read it from the activity feed, if someone did follow me.
And, if i push the replay alert, in the activity list, then the alerts work as they intend. At least, how I think it should be. With sound, and a little animation, and the name of the follower. But this only works if I replay the activity.
Any help?

It does not show in the preview window either. Not when it's "happening". No sound, no alert. I even asked my viewers if they saw something, but they didn't.

Oh, would you look at that. I didn't have "refresh browser....." ticked on. Could that be it?

possibly, give this a try for your next stream. what this does is it keeps your overlays up to date when information comes in. however this will mean that the overlay will need to load everytime you go to that scene, it might be worth looking at using studio mode or having a transition that covers the screen while the overlay loads (if it takes too long for you)

Try to run the repair of the StreamDeck software. I am sorry, as I am not familiar with the Elgato streamDeck and this is the only solution I am aware of, which helped all the others before you who had a similar problem with the elgato streamdeck.

Hey guys, I've had an issue that's been ongoing for a while now that I've been trying to fix and I just can't wrap my head around, is there anyone here that knows why every time I try to record I receive the following error? - Right click on the obs-studio program folder, select properties, then click on the Security tab.
- Under the Groups or user names section, click on Edit...
- Click add, then type in ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES. Select Check Names and it should underline to show it was typed.
- Click OK, then Apply, then OK, and finally OK again.
- Restart OBS and attempt to capture the game again```this is taken from the OBS discord ⤴

When I add a list to the OBSLive mediaplayer it plays every song from top to bottom, every time.
Is there a way to make it play random?
I'm asking because I have a big list of songs I play, but every time I stream it plays exactly the same songs, in exactly the same order. The only times this does not happen is if my viewers request songs, but my crowd is not so much for requesting, more hanging out.
It gets especially glaring since a lot of bands have several numbers in a row in my playlist, which is not that nice if you hear the same songs...
I used to use Nightbot, and it would play youtube lists random, but OBSLive doesn't seem to.
I tried setting the Youtube playlist on random, but nothing changes.
