So I have been noticing if I have multiple scenes and multiple profiles setup using the overlays from SE... I get a lot of rendering lag and lowered fps when using nvenc new. If I delete all but one I get no rendering lag and no dropped fps. Any ideas on this?

@restive owl I just read somewhere on reddit if you Right disable scense that you're not using it'll improve your performance so Right click a scene > properties > shutdown source when not visible.

Hey guys. Everytime I start up OBS.live my widgets are gone. Not the ones you get from the StreameElements tab, but the ones under view, those you get when you stream via your twitch login instead of a stream key. I now have to re-login every time upon starting OBS to make the Twitch Statistics and Stream Information tab appear again. Does anyone know of this problem and how I might fix it? Thanks in advance!

When they request music using !sr songlink it often just adds the trailer for the series 'It's the end of the f**g world'
I dunno if it them doing something wrong, but it happens to almost everyone the first time the request a song.

i ran the twitch server tester and put all of NA servers on, closeby servers would show 10k+bandwidth but some would still be 0quality and some would be 100 quality

I saw that OBS.live got released and I got pretty excited, moving away from streamlabs and single-end bots to everything in one is really awesome.
I haven't used Streamelements before, but i got most of my things setup except for my alerts.
I have the alerts coming in and everything is great, but there's one thing and I'm not sure if this can be fixed.
I'm running a dual PC setup where all the audio is routed from the gaming pc to the stream pc.
Now with Streamlabs, I could get alerts (sound) on my gaming pc and shows alerts on stream (only visuals) on the streaming pc.
With Streamelements, when I open up the alertbox on my gaming pc and the window doesn't have focus, it doesn't trigger the alert.
TL;DR how can I get alerts to trigger in the alertbox, if it's not in focus.

The overlays for your scene are edited on the site, and only added in OBS. This gives you the ability to edit it from anywhere, even mid-stream, or let your mods do so for you.
As for lag, that's dependent on your computer, the game you're playing, your stream settings, your internet connection, and other factors.

It can certainly happen if you're using a lot of intensive widgets that are using up your memory, 8gb isn't much nowadays and Chrome loves to eat that up.

Yeah, it's just in the editor. I could see all the animations possibly causing lag, but it makes it where you just can't navigate through it at all
I'm just going to use SL for my live broadcasts and use SE for its awesome bot features.

if the overlay is from a site like NerdorDie you can upload the local graphics in our Overlay editor, build your overlay in there and inut the URL of the overlay to your OBS.
Thus you have only one Layer for your overlay and not 3-6 Layers from local files

I just troubleshooted with the people from the OBS Studio Discord and as I said before, we came to the conclusion that it isn't OBS Studio's problem. I installed a fresh copy of OBS Studio and it didn't have any issues without your plugin. I only have this issue with the profile when OBS.Live is active

So I'm still kind of new to streaming, and I am not tech savvy in the slightest. But every time I stream, my game lags hardcore. As soon as I exit out of my stream, it stops and I don't have anymore issues. Does anyone know how to fix this? Do I need to turn something down or up or sideways?

turn off gaming DVR in windows settings
change your encoder to the new NVENC (make sure you turn off PVT and look-ahead when changed)
also your internet speed is low, even more its low for streaming full 1080p

According to Destiny 2, you cannot nor are allowed to attempt to full-screen exclusive game capture the game. You'll need to play in borderless fullscreen or windowed mode and use either game capture with the mode set to capture a specific window or use window capture.

- Ground Control app must be running
Steps to enable custom name
- Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
- Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
- Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
- Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
- Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)
Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

I dont currently have access to the option of making a custom bot name like the video shows. My stream settings doesnt have anything for a custom bot setup.
When I did the setup of OBS.Live, I had selected to use my username at the time. And I can't seem to figure out how to change from my username to a custom bot name.
I have the custom bot name and oath token under settings. I'm logged in to the 2nd account on twitch. And, I have SE as a moderator. But, every test still has my username. Ive tried turning the bot on and off from the dashboard and reinstalling Ground Control but I can't figure out how to change it once its already setup.

Hello! i'm new to streamelements and have been working on the alerts box. My sub, raid, and host alerts work fine when I preview them. For some reason my cheer and tip alerts aren't previewing what I have put in for them?

@barren fog You may have to check your variations so when you test alerts it goes through.

Hey, forgive me if this has been talked about before and I just missed it, but i was curious about the SLI/Crossfire Capture mode, and what it really is. I am currently trying to stream Skyrim SE, but my game capture does not allow me to capture it (I have no idea why, if this problem can get fixed it'll solve everything else.) The only way I've found that works is to either a) Play in windowed which drops my fps to 30, or b) play with crossfire enabled. Ideally I want to just use game capture and call it a day, but I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong.
Another question which can overrule the crossfire question is how do I get SkyrimSE to record/stream in game capture, because i haven't been able to find a way to make it work yet.

@hot tinsel I don't think there is an option to show the recent follower in chat. Only way I see is by having the Overlay to copy the URL to paste the Browser Source in your Streaming Software like OBS.Studio.

Hey.. when i try and use my streamelemtns overlay i hit launch and copy and paste it into a browser source it only captures half of the overlay... and solotuion?

this is what I see when I want to change the SE bot name. Clicking on the dropdown menu and to "Change to ..my name" doesn't work and as you can see there is a empty text on the checklist

I know it's missing in the screenshot but you need a tip panel linked to your StreamElements tipping page @narrow mason -- perhaps setting that up will help get past this screen

Hello everybody, I need some help.... I’m new to stream elements and streaming in general and I set up the settings for streaming like showed in the YouTube video, but I was wondering if my monitor having a 1440p resolution with 144 hz refresh if that would change how it should be set up? I remember him mention that the settings were made assuming we have a 1080 p monitor and I just want to make sure I’m not putting unnecessary stress on my PC. I also have a 1080Ti graphics card and an i7 8700k cpu with upload speeds of 11 mbps

@midnight ingot To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. My activity feed isn't loading in OBS Live along with media request. Chat works fine though. Activity feed shows a button "Connect with Twitch" but when I click it it does nothing. Haven't had this problem before

Hey there! I have a question about hosts and subs. For some reason, may host alerts doesn't work (but raids do). All the rest of my alerts are working fine. I've tried the stuff in the FAQ on the website, but no luck. Additionally, stream elements seems to be missing some of the subs. They're not showing up in the event list, nor are the alerts playing. They are showing up in chat though. The sub thing has only happened once so far.

twitch reworked the hosts/raids, as they are (in twitches words) "the same" one will trigger no matter what the event is. there is also this

When someone newly subs to someone, there seems to be a 50/50 chance of the new sub not being shared by Twitch in the channel's chat right now, which means that we won't be getting the new sub information. Not much to do but wait until Twitch resolves it.

hello, i just found out about OBSLive and i would like to ask if i connected Twitch account to OBSLive i got the Twitch chat inside OBS now, but can i do that aswell with Youtube chat to have it along with Twitch? Coz im multistreaming to both.

Yeah, so the last four cheered bits in my stream only showed from my viewers pov. I didnt see it at all through obs, but its in my activity feed

@wet jolt There should be a bell at the bottom of the Overlay Editor - set up and alert and you can trigger an alert

@wet jolt To test/emulate alerts, hover over the blue bell at the bottom of the overlay editor. From here you can select the type of event and the amount to test.
