WARNING: In submitting a closure request you will delete both linked accounts and loose all data from both accounts. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data(tips, subs, etc). You can still relogin with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

When I'm using the default theme + alert setup , everything works just fine: I can change the duration of the alert and the text and the animation are still synchronized. *What I realized, though, is that in OBS the gif pop-ups first than the text, something like half-second earlier, but after the text part is gone, the gif is still playing for 2 or 3 seconds more.

I need help, and i dont really know where to look.. i got here, so lets see if anybody can help me.

Did some testing with streaming and no matter what application, or platform(Twitch and YT), my streaming is a bit ' grainy' . it just isnt sharp and it bothers me.

GTX 1660 TI
16 GB ram 3200 mhz
150+ Mbs upload.

Tried different scalings, different codecs but cant seem to get a sharp picture. tried OBS studio, StreamLabs and Twitch Studio.

Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard, and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

2) Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3) Stop your stream/recording.
4) Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste the link here.

(Note: If you do not see an obsproject.com URL, you will need to update OBS Studio to version 22+)

Yep. When I am testing the overlays in the browser, they dont work (same with twitch). If I try to go to edit in streamlabs editor from OBS, it says uh-oh Overlay doeasnt exist or something (This works for Twitch).

I've tried using SLOBS for streaming, and then OBS for recording, at the same time and it overloads my CPU, making for useless footage from stream AND recording.

Finding out about the part of SLOBS ability to do stream and record differently only a week ago made it difficult for me to want to switch.

However, I just changed from streaming to YouTube to streaming to Twitch today and everything was reset, regardless, on SLOBS, so I am looking for some way to stream a different way than record. If there's a way from OBS, I'd like to return to using regular OBS.

I understand that SLOBS is for new content creators who are learning, or are too lazy to figure out regular OBS. I am in the latter field. Even so, as mentioned in the last message, I am interested to return if this single feature becomes available OR if there is a way to do similar without killing streaming and recording.

@lapis tree from your early comment, i'd like to explain that slobs insn't a lazzy version of OBS, it is modified for its purposes different from obs-studio and obsLive that has its own purposes too, we do recommend using obsLive while using our platform cause SL isn't clear about how they treat our urls so choose wisely. Answering your questions without a 2 PC setup the only workarround regardless of using SLobs selective recording is using a dual obsLive instance, that isn't CPU hungry at all u should only modify some stuff so it could work properly (like disabling preview in the recording instance and lowering its processing priority and other stuff.

@lapis tree Not at present. A proper implementation of selective recording (as opposed to the patch-job Streamlabs is using) is planned, but has no ETA at the moment. One workaround if all you are looking for is clean gameplay footage, you can try installing the obs-virtualcam plugin, and add a VC as a Filter to your gameplay capture source. Then run a second instance of OBS in Portable mode, just recording that 'webcam'.

NVENC on the 2080 is equivalent to x264 Slow.
NVENC is also a separate part of the GPU die that normally sits idle, doing nothing. Encoding with NVENC will not affect your gameplay, unless you use CUDA-enabled options (Max Quality preset, Psycho-visual Tuning, and Lookahead; just use Quality instead, and turn the other two off).
NVENC on consumer-grade nVidia cards also supports TWO encoding streams simultaneously, up to 4K@60fps without issue. You MAY have to disable Shadowplay and Windows' GameDVR features to 'free up' the second encoding slot, but you can absolutely use both... one for recording, one for streaming.

If anything, I'd recommend using x264 software for your local full-overlay recording with CQP or CRF (quality target) encoding, and a fast+ preset... it'll minimize CPU usage since local bandwidth writing to a HDD is cheap and plentiful, without the bitrate bottleneck of streaming. Use NVENC on that card for the stream, it'll give you better quality. Then use the other NVENC session for the 'webcam' recording, to help keep load minimal and quality high (again, using CQP/CRF). - FerretBomb (https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/streaming-with-overlays-whilst-recording-without-them.121411/)

Hi, can someone shed a light on this? Im using an overlay via streamelements, its contains multiple WEBM video files. Every once in a while, some, not all parts, do not get rendered (Switchinng scene) , when i refresh the cache it goes back to normal

It's been working perfectly for about 4 months but recently, the commands and moderation have not been working. Timers still work fine though. In that time, I haven't changed any of the settings. I have tried to disable and re-enable commands but still have found no success. Any ideas on what I could try?

Question - Hi! While using the emulator for the tips and superchats, the latest superchatter/tipper works and updates fine but the top supperchatter/tipper stays at No data/$0. Is this just because of the emulator or because I'm doing something wrong? Would it show up correctly on my own YouTube stream?
