Found the issue. The system somehow created a duplicate account, this is very rare, but now we have 2x visability in the system and that breaks the events

The fix is done by our developers, the duplicate channel will be removed and the events will be registered correctly after that. Past events can't be recovered

Yep this can't be fixed on the user end outside of closing the account, changing the name again and then logging back into StreamElements, that is not the way xD

This is super rare, like 1 case per month max. Can happen when users rename multiple times and return to the previous name.

Can happen anytime, but it is very specific. Our system does not always catch it when people rename back to an old name that exists in the system.

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Hello!

There is an issue with the Streamelements bot. Since the 01.04.2022 many users in the chat lost some of their Watchtime.
I will add some screenshots to this ticket so you can see a bit of proof and what I am talking about. As you can see in Screenshot1 the user got 1 Month 28 Days and 9 hours as watchtime in the stream. On the 1st of April as you can see on Screenshot2, he only had 1 Month 25 days and 21 hours as watchtime. On the Streamelements page/software the user ThePingspire according to the system, has 81930 minutes (Screenshot3) watchtime to his account for the stream. This is 56,89 days if you calculate the hours to days. There seems to be watchtime removed but it was not manually. How is this possible?

Is there a solution to fix that issue and get the old watchtime back? Unfortunately there are more uses impacted than just ThePingspire. Also there are a few more streams we know about with the same issue.

The problem is just as simple as I said, if I give people + minutes in the system, then the + minutes go to the actual watch time and not to the watch time that is displayed in the chat, otherwise I should pass on the channels where I know that this problem exists ?

What I'm trying to check here is that SE is not able to play only certain files (maybe it was encoded wrongly, maybe SE sees it as corrupted, don't know)

Also, I'm not sure about the amount limit, but how many items do you have in your store? Just in case we need to forward this information to staff

I am having an issue with Media Request in OBS Studio:
In the overlay editor for SE in browser, everything is working perfectly. I plug in the widget to browser source in OBS, and I will get the first 2 seconds of each song, and then it will show a buffering wheel and cut the audio. When I skip ahead to the next song, it will again show a few seconds and then appear to buffer. When I return to media request in browser, the song appears to be playing without issue there. I tried 'hide video' for the widget and also reducing to 0 FPS in case it was a data transfer overload, but that had no effect.
I have had media request work for hours at a time without issue before, so I am not sure what the problem is now. Has anyone fixed a similar experience before?

Been doing some more poking around.
I tried docking the media share widget within OBS, and whenever the snag happens and stops the music, the pause/play button flickers.
I also tried viewing the overlay editor through the SE integration in OBS, while simultaneously viewing the overlay editor through browser, and watched the browser version have no issues while the view through OBS had the same snags I've been experiencing.

I'll check but creating an item wasn't the issue, it was the commands not being recognized at all in my twitch chat. No sound is initiated from my twitch chat with the comment but all my old ones work. It doesn't even show up as redeemed. The sound itself just doesn't play at all. It's either some internal error or nothing. But somehow when I do the command for items listed in my store the new stuff is listed there.

Oh, so the problem is not the item. Okay, so we are tracking the wrong part. So if the problem is with the command to trigger the sound, we need to understand how you are creating the item and how you are setting the chat command.
Using the example on the image below, I would create an chat command like this:

!cmd add sound ${redeem blablabla}

So the sound would be played with !sound

I set up all my sounds the same. All the boxes are checked except for the 'subscriber only' box. I made sure I doubled checked that to be sure for all my sounds and they all have the same checked boxes as explained. I refreshed the browser source, I redid the entire redemption browser source twice, I changed the dimensions of my source in obs when I added the source. I can click the sounds and they play in store after I add them, however I do not know if that's the case for the public view that viewers see for my store. Does that make sense?

That's really strange, I simply cannot understand why old sounds work and the new items don't. In this case my suggestion is that you open a ticket on SE website so they can work directly on that with you. As we don't have access to your account, we cannot go further on that.

EDIT: I figured it out. I was able to use quotation marks in the variable to create a new counter. Ex. $(count "$(sender)test") increments the counter <profjreezytest>

Question about counters. We have a sort of game in which chatters can collect various items (coins, stars, etc.) I have some commands set up that increment their counts using variations of their username(all lowercase, @ all lowercase, etc.) This works well enough, but it can be hard to keep up with which syntax to use for which command. My question is: is there anyway to use variables combined with a string of text to create a new counter? I've tried things like $(count $(user)coins) to no avail. Thanks for any response

Hi, I'm having trouble with my overlays. After I updated the software, when I switch scenes the overlay that I have in the foreground (A) delays for a second before it loads so you see the overlay that is in the background (B). This applies to all of my scenes. I tried a number of things ie making sure that the enter animation setting for that was 0 in the browser and tried to override the transition for the source in OBS to none. More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

• Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts
• Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
• Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

Hey I'm new around here and have been using stream elements for quite some time now. I have a bug where when I go to a pre existing overlay and edit for example; i have pre existing text on the pre existing overlay and want to make it so its scrolling left or something. I would simply change the little switch to scrolling left on the text and it will show my text scrolling on stream elements but it wont appear on my OBS live overlay? I've tried deleting the text and adding in the same exact thing and it wont fix the problem but make it even worse. When deleting and re-adding back the text it makes whatever text i change it to something that looks like times new roman. It appears as for example; I re-add the pre existing text that wouldn't scroll on obs and change the default text to Bunge, but then when I click save the save button it changes on my live obs overlay from default text style to like times new roman and I got no clue what the problem is? If I can get any help it would be greatly appreciated. THE ONLY FIX I've been able to come up with is creating a new overlay and try to re-create what i previously had and it will work that way but its very frustrating when I put a lot of time and effort into an overlay and after using it for a long time going to change something small and having to completely redo it just to use it again. I'm not sure what the issue could be I tried a million things and cant find any fixes besides what I previously explained.

hey, I'm relatively new to streaming and I'm trying to set up my scenes in OBS. I've managed to get just about everything to how I want it with the exception to my alerts and chat box. I went onto stream elements and got a pre-made alert and just edited it to all include my chat where I would want it positioned but after including the browser URL into my scene there has been no change. Emulated alerts do not appear on OBS and my chat box is no where to be found. I don't know if its just taking a while to load in the browser source or if I had did something to mess it up

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

So in the overlay editor, there is an eye on the layer you are working on. If that eye has a line through it (which it does now), you won't see the overlay appear in OBS. Click on that eye, save the overlay, and try it again!

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

It's the margins. I changed them in the follower alert, it's under text settings -> advanced -> margin

It's still not centered properly, so make the adjustment to what you actually need

And then change the other alerts to the same Top margin that you find to be best

This is probably because you did not delete user settings when you uninstalled. If you want to remove the overlays, I recommend you just remove all the scene collections from the menu at the top. You can also remove all profiles from the Profile menu.

So right now the chatbot for other things works. But when I tweet it doen not show in chat. It appears I am supposed to add my Twitter username where it says "Press enter to submit" So I did that. So I went live then sent a tweet from Twitter. It did not show up in my chat. What am I missing?

May be a problem with charset of the Web-page you should have UTF-8 instead of UTF-32 you can see it here on Twitch on your web browser. Use Ctrl + Shift + i. I don't know how you can fix it on Twitch may be you need to contact twitch support.

for example, if you were to make a command with ${count deaths} which would increase the count by 1 every time you use the command, you can then have {deaths} in your widget to display the number

In the last week or so I've noticed what seems to be a bug in StreamElements, but I'm not sure if it's just me. I have always had multiple browser sources for my scenes, each with different layout of alerts, follower goals etc.
Recently, whenever I change the scene, StreamElements is replaying all alerts since I was last on that scene, regardless if we had already heard it. This means we're hearing the same alert up to 3 times. Any idea how to fix this apart from using a generic browser source across all scenes?

I have been using Streamelements with Streamchamps on my streaming phone and I have added created and added the HTML overlay with gif alerts and voices.
But the issue is like, whenever I try to emulate it, I see it on streamchamps in my phone but nothing goes to streaming screen..
Also while streaming the alerts for the very first time work sometimes and afterwards no notification nothing..
Like if someone cheered for the first time, I get alerts on my screen, then no alerts at all for the same or different event.
Is this the known behavior with streamelement integration with streamchamps application? or some other issue..
