@foggy heart, just an update in case anyone else comes in and asks too.
I found out, the reason it did it was because I installed the Owned Pro plugin for OBS to get an overlay, but then decided not to use it and create my own, but the plugin was still active and I forgot about it. xD
So if anyone else asks, tell them to go to the Owned Pro dashboard, and disable alerts.

I have a little problem with SE.Pay.
He doesn't want to take my ID or a bank account confirmation. It wasn't a problem before, but now it is. I wrote to Support several times, but each time I was told to upload it there again.
But it is always rejected and it still says that the data is being verified.

OK, next question - Does SE.Live only work when I am live, like via OBS 27.2.3?

I'm trying the new commands, and they work fine if OBS is closed, but no emotes are shown, and I think that is because I have SE.Live use the custom name same as mine so it can use channel emotes.

But when I open OBS and am not live, none of the commands / bot is working πŸ˜•

Just my channel emotes, but again... without OBS running, StreamElements responding to commands as predicted, but not using channel emotes (not subscribed)
When I open OBS, no commands are processed. This may go back as far as when I had to install / upgrade to OBS 27. I check the SE.Live panel and I'm definitely logged in

Also, when OBS had a #.#.X download / update, I have been signing out of OBS by disconnecting and reconnecting the account, then updating SE.Live to the corresponding version.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Would it be possible to reference one overlay within another? So I have a couple overlays for my different scenes, but I need for example my alerts in all of them. It would be amazing to reference a alert overlay within the others and then when I update the alerts one it updates every other place as well. I know you can duplicate a a layer to another overlay but you would have to duplicate it every time you make some changes, right?

Hello, I'm still having an issue with setting a Custom Bot Name in SE.Live. I had it working before, but can't get it to work anymore. I've followed all of the steps in the guide (just as I did the first time), but it just won't connect. Once I login and hit authorize for the bot account, the pop-up window just closes and does not connect the bot to my SE.Live

  1. Right-click your OBS desktop shortcut (not the SE.Live shortcut) and navigate to Properties
  2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)

If you are not seeing the OBS Twitch integrations and have SE.Live installed, please follow these steps:

  1. Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of SE.Live
  2. Exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
  3. Delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
  4. Start SE.Live
  5. Settings > Stream > Disconnect > Connect

hey guys, the last 2 days I have had a major issue with the live plugin chat in OBS!
Yesterday i didn't know how it got like that but today I viewed an emote and then after the popup went the chat started to get blurry.

It slowly degrades to about 160p quality.
It clears up when the chat moves or I mouse over it.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I see this being asked a lot in the last few days, but I am having no luck making it work. A few days ago I had remove SE app from by OBS Studio to continue using OBS Studio with Twitch. Now I can no longer get SE bot to use my custom twitch bot name. Is there any way I can do this without SE.Live?

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

You will need to install SE.Live to get that menu. Unless you don't want to use SE.Live. Either way, disconnect and reconnect your twitch account.

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

@shrewd valve the UK voices, the over lay im using has different tts voice options for follow sub tip/donation, cheer bits, hosts an raids, I have merch disabled as I dont have merch but the previous each have a different British English voice selected, the volume is at least 33% and the settings to trigger are greater than 1

Hello all, I am looking into buying a yolobox or liveU for IRL streaming, however, they do not support alert overlays. Does stream elements need to communicate through slobs/obs to show overlays or can it be sent directly to Twitch (so no external PC needed)? I downloaded the alpha gaming rotating feed v2 for twitch and created a streamelements account for the first time. Is there something in that rotating feed that doesn't allow for latest subs, gifted subs, followers, and cheerers to show up? Am I missing something?

Quick question: is there anything particular you need to write in this field to make it appear in the label? I can custom create "Latest Sub" and "Latest Tip" with no problem but when I write a name for the "Latest Cheer", it either stays blank or shows "No Data". Also, is there a field for the amount of bits?

There is a field for latest subs, gifted subs, latest follower and latest cheer. It’s all within the Alpha Gaming rotating feed 2.2 overlay. Each info field is called an event and in those events I can choose what will be displayed (latest sub, latest cheer, etc.) and under that I can add {name} and/or {count}

Hey guys just a question!! I was trying to set up my alertbox with streamelements and I wanted to know if anyone knew how to turn off this text that comes up for gifted subs? (the "naiyoumii gifted a tier 1 sub" part) I wanted to have TTS on for resub messages, but inevitably it also reads out these gifted sub messages. I tried turning off variations, and I also couldn't find anything in the settings. Would anyone know if I missed any settings or if there was a way to turn it off?

I require some help on the media share. I am a music streamer, and since yesterday I faced an issue of many "internal server errors" which made my viewers have to try different songs in order to request. I changed my stream location to my country lately, but I cannot undo that. Changing the country also didn't help. Is this a new issue, or is this because of the location change?
