This may be a common question but I couldn’t find an answer after searching - Is there a way to set up alert queues so they don’t go off at the same time? Ie. Sometimes I’ll have a subscription and a cheer gifted at the same time and they’ll appear on stream at the same time. Is there a way the sub comes first and the cheer waits until the sub alert is finished?

Hi so I'm having a issue and I'm not really sure how to fix it, currently I'm setting up sound effects in the stream store that will be triggered by a custom command I created. When I go to upload my sound in the stream store it doesn't save the sound, what ends up happening is I'm having to reupload the correct sound and save it in the setting. When I go to test the sound with my chat commands it's fine, but after a few mins of retesting it it sounds very muffled and static. Any help would be greatly appericated.

I composed a detailed message with links to two example clips I created for SE to help troubleshoot (at their request), and the entire post was blocked/deleted without an chance to edit it to remove the links. All time wasted. This after several weeks of back and forth with SE on a support ticket. Then they bailed and told me to post here and tag you. It is a great widget. Just having some issues getting the files to serve reliably.

Question for alert testing. I am setting up new alerts wiht a custom image and when emulating the new alert, it's not showing the custom image I uploaded for the subscriber alert and the cheer alert. The rest are showing the custom image. Any help is appreciated.

Greetings. I've setup the StreamElements chatbot but it isn't working in my chat. I changed my Twitch username a few weeks ago and the Bot still shows my old username as the Broadcaster in User Management. Is this what's causing my issue? Hello, I used the Credit Roll by Grot widget at the end of my last stream, but it didn't show anything from the stream's data, only some follows I got before starting the stream. However, when I look at the editor now, I can see everything that happened last stream.
In OBS, should I have "shut down source when not visible" or "refresh browser when scene becomes active" checked or both? (I have the widget on a separate scene.) I'd like the end credits to show the data from the current session if possible.
Any help is appreciated!

There are also some data in settings and last sessions that looks like could affect the Labels. In Total it definitely has picked up my subs and follower count.

Guys....I when someone gifts 5 subs my overlay will say who gifted and then repeat the notification 5 times for each gifted sub which gets a bit annoying for viewers

Hello, I would have a question, I selected a streamelements overlay and I wanted to use that in Twitch Studio, and I pasted the url in the browser, but there is a problem with it's size, I cant make them smaller, And when I want tho cange it's size in twitch studio, then the Overlay is going to disappear, And in the streamelements I can't properly resize it because I would have to resize every text on it, which is frustrating for me, What Am I supposed to do?

@plain crane Hello! I have no experience with Twitch Studio, but SE overlays are mostly 1920x1080 by default so when you add a source, make sure to set the resolution correctly.

Hello, I would like to ask and ask for help. I'm trying to login to streamelements and I can't. Every time I log in it throws me a problem like in the video. I use Chrome on my computer and Safari on my mobile. I have had this problem for 3 days. The day it stopped working for me, I saw that there were no bot streams on a few streams. I don't know if it's a problem because of that but I don't know what to do if I can't log in so I can set up some things in streamelements. I switched from Streamlabs to OBS, via StreamElements for alerts/donations, and I have quite a few questions regarding the change. I used the transition tools but some issues still persist:

  • Alerts are often delayed, but I have no idea why. Sometimes they'll be instant, other times it can take up to a minute.
  • Is there a way to change the character limit on donations, bit and re-sub messages?
  • Can I get donations to show in chat?
  • Sometimes donations just won't show, other times they'll not show the right information
  • My TTS is announcing "[gifter] has gifted to [user]" even though announce messages is turned off
  • How are anonymous gifted subs/bits worked into the alerts?

Having Audio issues using SEOBS and Soundtrack by Twitch. I'm using a USB mic, and my viewers can only hear my music if I have my mic on (so it stops for them if I turn off mic for a break). I've had some trouble with delayed alerts (like follows, subs, raids..) in OBS and sometimes in Twitch chat too (the message that the SE bot posts). Any idea to what the reason might be? It isn't always delayed, but it's awkward when it is. yogevThink

I know that some of them are delayed because I either notice the SE bot text about it in the chat way before the alert shows up on stream or I see that my Kappamon says thanks before anything shows on stream/in chat from SE.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

  1. Right-click your OBS desktop shortcut (not the SE.Live shortcut) and navigate to Properties
  2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Recently imported my Alert box from Streamlabs and can't get Streamelements to show the video for the Alerts? They don't show up when emulating - but it does play the sound and text variation. Using OBS
The video shows up when i press each alert variation seperately - it uses webm videos as alerts. Have tried googling but none of it could help solve my issue, does anybody have any suggestions for me? 🙂

The StreamElements Leaderboards widget doesn't seem to register Session / Week / Month cheers, but it does show all-time cheers. The usernames are there, but the avatars aren't loading. Top subs does have avatars, Top sub gifters does not strangely enough.

Hello There, its akamekisaragi. I added video commands on my stream elements but the issue is on some scenes where I have that source I dont hear echo and on others I do its all duplicated in 1 source for no stream chat source and the other for stream chat source but they are separated. I made sure I have nothing else open that can cause the echo but, still sounds like an echo. For example I have an overlay source that is "stream starting soon" does not have chat so in the source that is over the overlay has the chat and the video command sounds fine. On the other hand I have 2 overlays called "short break brb" and "thanks for watching stream ending" that have a source over them that doesnt have chat that just have the echo. I went to preview on elements site to see if it as an issue on the site which it didn't but actually its obs that has this issue and its only the one source that doesnt have the stream chat added. Thanks for the answers! Another thing I can't figure out is my alertbox widget in SE. Whenever someone subscribes, I hear the uploaded sound double. As if it's triggered twice. I've set a standard sub image and sound, and variations for gifted subs. The giftsubs only trigger the standard "bling" sound, even though I disabled that standard sound. I can't figure it out.
edit: I just tried unchecking the "preview LIVE on stream" checkbox, and that may have been the issue. No more "bling" sound nor double custom sounds. Very odd. Bug?

Yes, it's been almost a month since this problem started. Me and more people have complained about it. Apparently it had been fixed, but only for a day or two. And the problem came back again a few days ago. It's extremely annoying that alerts only appear 10 minutes later (at least in sub alerts)
The first sub alert almost works fine, (with little delay) but if there are more subs then the delay gets longer is what I've noticed.
And once again, NO I didn't mess with any settings.

To reset goals:

  • from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
  • from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Custom Fonts

Steps:

  1. Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
  2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings
  3. Click on Enable Custom Font
  4. Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

hi there - so i'm attempting to set up some cheer variations as part of an alert box widget, but i'm having a very confusing issue:

  • i have one variation which is set to "When amount is at least 1", with a 100% chance.
  • i have another variation which is set to "When amount is exactly 99", with a 50% chance.
  • i have an additional variation which is set to "When amount is exactly 99", with a 50% chance.
  • i also have the default alert in place (not a variation - the root-level default alert).

based on this setup, here is what i am expecting to happen:

  • the "When amount is at least 1" variation should play when the bits amount is anything but 99
  • the "When amount is exactly 99" alerts (2 of them) should play, with a 50% chance of either one playing, when the amount is exactly 99
  • the default alert should never, ever play

however - this is not what i'm seeing. here's what is actually happening:

  • i use the "Emulate" function in the web editor to send a test cheer for exactly 99 bits.
  • sometimes, the default alert plays.
  • sometimes, the "When amount is at least 1" alert plays.
  • sometimes, the expected "When amount is exactly 99" alerts play with their respective 50% chances.

this is greatly confusing me. what should i do to ensure that the default alert never plays, and that the variations play every single time when 99 bits are received?

Since the 99 bits exactly has a chance associated, sometimes it doesn't trigger so it picks a new one.

Hello, I have moved over to SE from using SL Chatbot due to recent events. I am an OBS user and have set up overlays on the web site for both alerts and sound commands using the instructions on the web page. I have added the appropriate sources to my OBS for each overlay: an Alerts source and a Store Redemption Source. However, when alerts go off or when the commands are typed in chat, the sounds do not play. I've watched several instructional videos and all of them indicated I have set this up right.
