Does anyone here know if it's possible to have media share play in it's own full screen browser window? Im doing a lego build stream tomorrow and I want media share to play behind me on my flatscreen TV, as opposed to as an overlay. hey so I was trying to do something I thought was really simple but it doesn't seem to work.

I tried to make my own alerts by using a photo from my pc and adding a sound I recorded with my mic to it. When I test it, it displays the image and plays the audio perfect on the website, but it either wont display/play audio on obs OR the image shows up for a fraction of a second and disappears and the audio still doesnt work

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hey guys 🙂

We have a stream store in which people can redeem real money amongst other stuff with channel points. With this obviously comes people who take advantage of it by AFK farming points / botting to farm points and join raffles.

Viewers get 20 points every 10 minutes currently just for passive "viewing"

My question is whether there are any measures we can take to make it so these people cannot collect points whilst not actively watching the stream.

When we do !addpoints all it gives points to like 2500 people when we only have 1500 viewers according to twitch.

RIGHT NOW for example we have 1000 people in the viewer list and the stream hasnt been live for 12 hours. Going through and banning accounts that are obvious is an option but we would like to have a way to prevent it or at least nerf it and make it so people need to be active to collect the points.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Steps:

  1. Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
  2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings
  3. Click on Enable Custom Font
  4. Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

Hey! I use StreamElements for my alerts on OBS studio and on yesterday´s stream the alerts started suddenly coming in VERY delayed. It started off with only a couple minute delay but went onto almost 2h delay between an action (a new follower for example) happening and the alert showing up; I missed a host notification while in game and a couple followers too because the alerts didn´t show up at the time. During my stream I reset my alerts 3 times by deleting the browser source for alerts altogether and re-adding it again but this didn´t seem to fix the problem.

Hello. Setting up my StreamElements bot, and working on the Slots module. However it never seems to pay out. I have tested it on two accounts over 50 times each with varying amount of points, upped the "Rigged" to 200%, and dropped down to only 5 emotes in rotation. But it's never rolled all 3. Roulette has been paying out correctly as I've tested. Any help please? Google searches have come up with nothing.

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

I am trying to make a Custom Bot name in my channel, I have a bot account through twitch, its moded (just to be safe) I went through LIVE.OBS to try and connect the account to use the name but it will not connect at all. the account im trying to use is verified as well.

Hello @viscid pebble , I have an issue as a viewer, I would enter chat commands to a steamers chat such as "!crosshair" or "!sens" and it will not appear in my viewer chatlog but if the streamer has the chatlog appearing on stream, the stream element bot replies to them as they are supposed to and works normally in the streamers chatlog appearing on stream, but on mine stream elements bot doesnt appear and it's as if I never typed the command in chat.

How can I get my Custom font to work in OBS. It works in Firefox just fine, it does not in Google Chrome and OBS Browser. The Font is a TTS file, installed and I can make a text source in OBS using it just fine

Steps:

  1. Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
  2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings
  3. Click on Enable Custom Font
  4. Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

Evening everyone! Been having an issues since I started streaming again with the alerts. I have a fresh link updated and in my scene for OBS. When I test the different alerts on the streamelements website and emulate, it shows up on my stream and my viewers can also see it. But the alerts aren't coming through otherwise (only emulated tests appear). Follows/subs etc do not trigger alerts like they are supposed to.

I've done some poking around but haven't found anything promising. Any thoughts? Cheers!

Alright I'm losing my mind over this one lmao. I've been through everything I can think of, outside of relogging on Twitch and StreamElements. A streamer I mod for, his alerts are working just fine except his Host alerts specifically. Follow, Sub, Raid, Bit, etc. They all work.

Hosts just do not work, and sometimes they do not show up in the Activity Feed either

Side by side comparison with StreamElements and Streamlabs. As you can see, Raiu89 hosted a couple of hours ago and it worked on both, but purpleseahorsicorn hosted and it only showed up in Streamlabs, but StreamElements didn't catch on.

Neither of those hosts triggered an on screen alert though. The alert is just non existent when the host actually happens. However, if I replay Raiu89's host from StreamElements Activity Feed, the alert works just fine. Test alerts also work.

I will say this is probably not a good decision to make - disabling offline hosts. I'm not sure why this has been changed, but hosting is kind of big part of interaction, even if an offline channel hosts an online channel. The whole point of host alerts is so you can thank someone for showcasing your stream on their channel while they are not streaming.
The reason you guys disabled host alerts here is exactly why there is a Raid alert in the first place.

Host literally means for hosting a channel while offline, while Raiding means to bring viewers from one channel to another.

I'll find the feedback place and put that in there, but it has definitely confused a few people who have switched from SL to SE recently that I know of.

That's my argument. Host alerts really should be working if an offline channel hosts a channel streaming, while it should be RAID alerts that don't fire off like that.

I get that it might not help with growth, or whatever. But the whole point of hosting a channel while your offline is to show a channel while you're offline, and having the alert and it showing up in the Activity Feed at least allows the streamer to thank the viewer, regardless of whether it helps or not.

Hello together. So I got my new Pc yesterday and set everything up to be able to stream again today. Since i got a good PC i was happy to play some Apex again (and stream it). While playing offstream I get 180-200 fps on highest settings.
When i start my stream, the nvidia fps counter goes to 33 and stays there and the output to my stream are those 33 fps while on my monitor and ingame I still have a lot of fps (counter says 33 but still feels like more than 120fps). My output in obs is set on 60fps 1920x1080 tho... Does someone knows why obs/gpu/Apex sets the outgoing fps to 60 instead of the reached 140 or the 60 i set up in obs?

I looked around for updates on this first, could not find any.
I know gifted sub counts were not working. For me, SE leaderboard panel for all-time top sub gifters was unavailable and overlay label for top sub gifter was frozen.
However, today my leaderboard works! I checked my overlay label (even tried making a new one), but no change. Was progress made with this issue or any update/fix I missed?

Hi there, seem to be having issues with my stream quality constantly. tried in every resolution basically. from 600 up to 1080. My internet is fine 750mbps down 30mbps up. Graphics card is a an amd RX 6900xt so it should have plenty of power for 1080p. When im standing still in a game the quality is fine, but when i move the quality decreases.
