hi i keep having an issue where my commands wont work during stream. ive had streamelements part and rejoin the channel, and also signed out of streamelements and logging back in. but the commands wont work - but if it has a sound, the sound will play. does anyone know how to fix this?

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

okay cool so whenever i get a donation it doesn’t pop up in the activity feed or anything and i don’t quite understand why but i am frustrated just because i feel bad to my viewers who donate not getting to hear or see their donation on screen. HOWEVER, for some reason it goes through a couple hours later and i’m not sure why. when i do the test dono it works perfectly and all other alerts work just fine, including other paid alerts like bits and subs. after some studying of it, it seems like it doesn’t go through in my activity feed until it was fully processed in paypal which doesn’t make sense because i have never had an issue before with the alert not coming up due to the donation still “pending” on paypal.

Hi, one of my dono alerts plays the general gif instead of the $5.01 variation gif. Its done this a couple of times and Im not sure why? Sometimes when I test it manually, it plays the correct one. But through obs and live it plays the general gif.

Did some testing. I was able to recreate the whole thing on another SE-account. If you add your own user (which is the owner/broadcaster) via https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot/user-management and set the user to level 1000, the level changes apply, even though it generates no entry in the list. And there seems not to be a way to revert these changes... And yeah, maybe I added myself to that list by mistake once on my main account.. So I guess you guys need to reset my level to 1500 somehow 😅

so when i change the currency from usd to sek it never actually changes the currency. so if someone has donated 200sek worth in usd its about 25 usd. then when I show the top super chatter's donation it just says "25sek". so it just changes the letters of "usd" to "sek", not the actual worth of currency.

@stuck herald I tried the widget update and the total number is there... but when I do a chat command for a particular follower I am only in TEST and not LIVE so of course at that spot I cannot add any points to Followers while offline... always get unable to find "streamelements" because outside of my ID Streamelments is the only user in my test session but not a follower. I was also reading up and someone mentioned that when I Stream LIVE for the first time with new settings and stream for more than a few minutes and then end the stream that My follower list will then be available for streamelements to reference all existing followers. Does that sound right to you @stuck herald and thank you for your time too 😉 🙂

I think it's a both. You need X time and Y lines for the message to go.

Been having an issue where TTS won't work for Cheer Alerts. It will work for everything else but not for cheers. If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

If the backup list and normal requests are playing properly but not tipped requests, it might be something on the backend that a staff member will have to look at. hi i'm wondering if anyone can advise, i've been having some issues with my host alerts? i have it checked in my overlays along with everything else, raids, follows etc. but whenever somebody outright hosts my stream without a raid i won't get an alert, i initially had it set up to have no actual alert to go off on screen but it still wouldn't show up in my activity feed but when i get a raid it shows both in my activity feed? i tried to add an actual alert to force it to show up but it still doesn't, i made sure the values are set to 1 as i saw a post saying the value being at 0 is sometimes the issue but even when i click 'filter' in my activity feed and make sure the value there is also 1, i still get nothing. any advice?

We have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

  • All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
  • Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.

Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.

I don't personally recommend that....as it could be embarrassing for the person using it, or cause people to feel intimidated. You would probably be able to find a good suggestion in #dev-chat and someone there will probably know how to set it up.

The default resolution for StreamElements overlays (theme and custom) is 1920x1080. Please add them in OBS at their full resolution and use CTRL+F to fit to screen if necessary. You can then downscale your stream in OBS settings > Video if you'd like https://i.imgur.com/6bWXxjR.png

So I'm writing a custom widget on StreamElements that counts Twitch subs of any kind. I'm noticing that it works except for when there are community gift subs in which it counts twice. Would anyone know why that would be or a potential way to only count gifts once?

Howdy! I'm running into technical difficulties getting the Twitch chatbot to respond to chat alerts:
🔵 I changed my username from ShirakobaTori -> PepperoniVT a few months ago
🔵 The streamelements bot will respond to all of my custom commands. It will not respond to any enabled default commands.
🔵 The streamelements bot will not respond to Redemptions in the Chat Alerts module, which is enabled.
🟢 I already did the trick to disconnect my Twitch account in OBS and re-connect
🟢 I've parted and rejoined the bot account to my Twitch channel around 5 times now

Twitch timers seem to be inaccurate I have it to post online every 30 min, no offline, and set to 10 chats messages min. How come the timer posts once a stream if that of I am getting over 50 plus messages a stream !

ahhh I was using the !emotes ffz/bttv/update command but not calling it with a second parameter for testing. That resolves the issue with the lack of default commands working. The Chat Alerts not responding to redeems still persists

Hi!

So, since yesterday we're experiencing a huge delay on everything that's related to StreamElements Alerts and recent events. It's happening to everything that StreamElements need to register and trigger the alert afterwards, here's an example with a sub, the viewer resubbed at 16:54 (Brazil timezone) and StreamElements only registered it 3~4 minutes after it happened as the second image shows.

The issue is happening in the Pijack11 channel and we would be super grateful if this could be sorted out, thanks in advance.
