If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Those are the options for choosing what emulation you want to test. That way you test resubs, gifts, and new subs. If you change the text for one, you need to change it for all variations (namely the resubscriber one)

Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

  • All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
  • Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

im in touch with @remote kite i already looked over his configurations i can confirm the bot is joined in the channel and also is on moderation perms it even timed me out when we tryed to add a word to the bad words list it timed me out but it does not respond to any commands no defaults and not custom but apparently the but is there? we kinda suspect that the namechange of the twitch channel maybe caused the issue but the name change is already over a month ago

Custom bot is enabled for your chat through OBS.Live, so I would suggest the following

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I also have a vod of the song that i use for the alert you will notice the "pew pew" sound then attached here . you'll hear it at the end of the vod. that's where i'd like the alert to fade out THEN. hello, I'd have a question about the twitch chatbot commands scripting. I'm trying to have a same command both play a sound and display a text in chat. For the sound I used the redeem store item, and it works, but when putting ${redeem item} in the command response box with some other text, the command only plays the sound and doesn't display the text

personally, what I do is use a smaller canvas size for the alert overlay (720p) and basically set the alert so that it occupies the entirety of that canvas.
This way, I control the location and size of the alert in OBS, by moving around/resizing the browser source linked to it.
The advantage of this is that I can directly change this on-stream from OBS rather than having to open the streamelements dashboard to do it.

Copy the contents of the old PC into the profile folder of the new one and that should work

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hello people. I have a problem with streamelements that even twitch couldn't help. I recently noticed that I don't get any alerts or notifications that someone has hosted me. What is my amazement when I log into my streamlabs account and there are all the hosts I received. That is, Only streamelements is not notifying me when I get a host and as far as I know, this only happens with host. All other notifications (that I know of) are working correctly. Has anyone had an identical problem?

Text not showing up over your alerts? Go to the Advanced Text Settings and set the top margin to 50, you can work your way to the right position from there.

Alright, meanwhile, I did the messing around with margins but as expected it only affects the position of the text which is not the issue, rather it is that the image is still small and doesn't fit the whole alert box size (dotted outline)

I have confirmed with other images and even default resources, that "Text over image" does not scale the image - it will either clip off the bottom or be too small depending on the original image size and the alert box height

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

The Overlay Editor always shows "Uh oh.. Overlay does not exist".
I just created a Stream Elements account linked to Twitch. Chrome, Opera, Firefox all show the same message, whether I create a New Overlay or download one from the gallery. I have logged out multiple times, restarted my Mac, and tried private browser windows.
The StreamElements bot worked in my chat (used via OBS.Live).

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Was hoping to get some help with !chatstats not working for my Twitch chat... "404 - Page Not Found" error is what me and others have always gotten when clicking the link and I'm not sure why... Hey, having a weird issue all of a sudden. No settings have been changed, but suddenly my stream can't hear my sheets. I can hear them go off, and I can see it move the audio mixer in my desktop audio source which is what I use for the stream output, and I can hear every other source. It just send everything via twitch isn't going to the stream, a channel point redeem in streamerbot is also not going through to the stream.

Any ideas?

Hi all! I’m in need of some help, I’m new to the streaming community and just today set up my streamelements and downloaded OBS to my MAC laptop. I set up everything I believe including my scenes and graphics. Got them all moved over from steam elements to the OBS application on my computer. This is where I’m seeing the issue. I normally stream from twitch richt through the app on my Xbox. But now that I’m trying to use the new scenes I made I have to start the stream from the laptop. My twitch account indeed goes live and I can cycle through the slides on the OBS app and it shows on my twitch. But I have zero Audio from my headset and I have no actual picture. Like my screen of me playing the game will not show up. I never had this issue just streaming from twitch on my console. I know it’s probably just an easy fix, if someone could point me in the right direction that would be lovely! Thank you

Usually that's on the Twitch end. Unless you're partner it's not guaranteed every stream.

If you set user cooldown to 30 seconds and the global cooldown to 5 seconds: after one person uses it nobody can use it for 5 seconds and the user who used it can't use it for 30 seconds; so, after 5 seconds, anyone except the person who use it can use it, and after 30 seconds anyone can use it.

Not sure if this is the place for it but me and my friend are setting up stream overlays off of the website stream elements and when we input the overlay obs it isnt sized right you cant see all of the overlay

The default resolution for StreamElements overlays (theme and custom) is 1920x1080. Please add them in OBS at their full resolution and use CTRL+F to fit to screen if necessary. You can then downscale your stream in OBS settings > Video if you'd like https://i.imgur.com/6bWXxjR.png

so i just switched to streamelements from streamlabs. i've been having an issue where streamelements isn't tracking new follows. Not only are the stats and analytics not showing new follows, the alerts are not being triggered for new follows. all other alerts work except that one

It is already done for your existing commands, so this is more for the future - when you make/edit commands.

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible. https://youtu.be/KDvLynUqXI4
