looks like the important commands are working. I had some custom commands for pokemon attacks. those aren't working. I'm assuming they did a manual fix of all the well known commands

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hello Friends. I started a giveaway using loyalty points, and I am having a problem with the Default Commando !points. It is sending to the chat, so chat members are using It to see how many points they have to participate, which is spamming my chat pretty bad. I cant see an option to make !points command to reply as a whisper. Is there a way? Maybe creating a custom command that reads a variable? Is there a loyalty points variable?

This is affecting my chat negatively... and pretty badly.

Adding a global cooldown is bad, cause I undertsand different people may want to check their points. It's only fair to let them know how many points they have... personal Cooldown is not enough, because different people are using the command. Whisper response would be the best solution.

I think you should be able to rename or disable the default command

then create a custom command set to reply in a whisper with these variables

!points - $(user) has $(user.points) $(pointsname) and is rank $(user.points_rank) on the leaderboard.

So test a bit alert of like 87 bits. Then test one of 500

When you test the 500, you can see the same gif that played when you did the 87 bits also played

Reason why it played 2 sets of doubles is cause im also making tip alerts of the same things

I've tried uploading my driverslicense for SE.Pay but it gets stuck at the end of the upload. When I monitor my F12 console I get a "Request failed with error code 500" back. Does anyone know if there is a way to make an alert variation that goes off when a specific viewer gifts a sub/community sub? Like the way it does when someone specific tips or cheers? As far as I can tell it only does the custom alert when the person subs themselves but not for the gifting.

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

If the two accounts are mixed, you can copy overlays between them. You can also copy overlays over to channels you have editor permission on. You do both from the My Overlays screen.

Yes, the sub gift and community gift variations in the alert box are exactly for that. You should have them by default, edit the, with whatever you want. And check the other variations while you're at it. 🙂

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

You'd have to give more context then that and if an SE Staff member did something like that, you'd be best to talk to them to undo it.

If it's just muting alerts from the dashboard then the streamer is able to do that themselves with the click of a single button, it wouldn't require staff intervention. I don't see anything in your history indicating that a staff member might have installed a "spam-promotion command" and without additional context, it would be difficult to assist you further.

I have a quick question.. I am trying to pull Mountain Time Zone with ${time.TIMEZONE}

I have tried MST and it pulls an hour behind the current time.. I tried MDT and it pulls what seems to be the default time associated with it.. like 17:00 instead of 11:00

So I thought I would trick the system and pull Central Timezone to gain the hour but CST or CT is pulling that same default timezone.

I tried EST and it pulls the correct time so im at a bit of a loss.. any help?

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

StreamElements menu, on top of OBS > Logout > Login

Prime Gaming (new and resub) and paid subscriptions (resub only) must be shared in chat manually by the person subscribing in order for the subscription information to be sent to StreamElements. For Prime Gaming, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Are you referring to just the stream store commands or something else as well?

If a viewer cannot use the stream store commands to trigger a sound effect and get a message that they need to be subscribed to you - they need to login to our dashboard and then use the commands

If they also rename their accounts, then they can use "!rename oldusernamehere" in order to gain their old loyalty points

Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

I use the stream elements dashboard to manage the commands used by a different twitch account. It stopped working earlier so had it part the channel and then rejoin to get it to try and reset it and get it working, however, the custom bot account now is no longer in the channel. Is there anything I've missed to get it to rejoin the channel?

I set my parameters for my graphic to the exact size of the graphic, so my theory is that the text is popping up outside the boundary but i cant see it, so its hard to guess what to plug in to even partially see it. I tried changing my parameters too but still no idea...

If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

Hello. I have changed my name and done the steps to re-add the bot to my channel. But I still see my old name in the user management. Done the !level username 100 but was given an answer that you cant change the level of a user with a higher level than your own.

try !rename OLDUSERNAME in your channel and see if that works; it works for normal viewers but not sure for broadcaster.

I have gone and done the !rename oldusername and points /watchtime / etc was transferred from old to new username. Checked in user management and still see my old username. I also did the logout but nothing changed

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

So i was trying to get streamelements up and going and my !sr command worked 2 times and now it is staying off even if i turn it on in chat commands i can switch to user managment or anything else then back to chat commands and !sr is off

i can enable !sr it tells me it saved then i can refresh the page and !sr is disabled

hello SE support quick question..weve been using SE giveaways and at first really enjoyed it..but after id say 100+ GWs it seems the same person whose name starts with an "A" wins more than other users..and not just a little more signficantly more. Is there any confirmation on whether or not the algorithms on SE may not be working as designed?
