Subscribers are automatically added with the role from Twitch. Regulars is something that you can set as a specific role for that user pretty much so you have one additional "step" to make commands available to a specific group

Try to remove the custom bot name in Ground Control and then close it, the bot should be working with the default StreamElements name

And about Media Request - we are looking into that issue currently

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

Hey guys! I have a small question 🙂

I'm using a sub goal counter on my IRL screen for an x amount of monthly subs. In the data session it counts the subs for the entire month.
I now want to add a daily sub counter on my game screen, too. But the problem I have now is the data session counts towards the total and I can't turn it to 0 because then the counter for the IRL screen one also goes to 0.

Is there a way to have 2 seperate counters that do not both work on the same data counter?

in your overlay editor create a new custom widget (from the custom \ static menu)
then open the editor within the custom widget's settings
then copy the text from https://github.com/StreamElements/widgets/tree/master/GoalsOverPeriod to the CSS \ HTML \ JS and FIELDS tab of the widget's editor
you will need to enter the widget.css entry in that link, copy the entire code, and paste it to the custom widget editor within the CSS tab
then do the same for HTML, JS and Fields (the name is FIELDS in the widget editor, but in github it's widget.json)

Nope. This is what happened.
I imported my old alertbox from streamlabs and it worked fine but with donations it didn't and that was because it was with SLOBS donations and not SE.
So I reimported the nerd or die widget package into SE and set everything back up as normal, but when I plugged the browser source into OBS with this newly formatted SE version now the sound doesn't work

I’m using streamlabs obs and I am using streamelements overlays with built in alerts. The alert sounds do not work and sometimes the box doesn’t pop up either. Do I need to download ground control for them to work? I’m on a dual pc set up

We're not able to troubleshoot issues with using our overlays in StreamLabs OBS (SLOBS) as we don't have the tools to support their software. We recommend using OBS Studio or OBS Studio with our plugin OBS.Live.

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Due to the GDPR rules, we can only keep the data for 30 days. Those are over, so everything related to that account is now resetted.

Sorry, there are no backups that can be restored.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

So for instance if someone tips, which is the only sound I have activated in the overlay i use, its like, "JOHN CEN"- then the overlay music and what not. i have tested every possible place it could be but the john cena sound is somewher in the custom tipping overlay somewhere and I cant figure it out

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

As explained before, all linked accounts are removed. You submitted a closure request on the 31.03 and it was completed. The data is then removed after 30 days.

The key here is that ALL linked accounts get a full reset. If you close one linked account, all of them will be gone.

I do not have the information which account got the closure request, but we have that internally and it is irreversible, there are no backups.

Now I get it, i did delete an account, yesterday YESTERDAY but it was just created too. So the issue on the date is weird. Anyways I know what I did wrong. It should say something about deleting linked accounts on the opction tho.

Hello! I've been using Streamelement's Media Request (for !sr) with youtube links but the queue often pauses and stop playing, sometimes it's because a video is unavailable (while it isn't on my side?) but also sometimes with no apparent reason (most often I'm playing my backup playlist and it plays 5-6 songs then stops playing the playlist that has over 100 songs), is there something I can do to fix that ?

The first issue can't be fixed - if the playback is not possible due to the video settings - nothing can be done.

The second issue - need more data here, but in general there are no settings that we can tweak around it

Then it will go through your desktop audio.

On a different note, I have now got a different issue again. How do I test my commands in my twitch chat for stream elements bot, without actually going live.

How to separate Media Request (MR) audio in OBS:

MUTE MR FOR YOURSELF, STREAM CAN HEAR

1. Make a new overlay in the editor, ONLY add the Media Request widget.
2. Add a new browser source in OBS, add the URL and set the dimensions correctly.
3. Tick the box for Control audio via OBS
4. Go to Edit > Advanced Audio, set your MR overlay to Monitor Off. Note: This will play through the Desktop Audio, if you mute your desktop audio, it will mute the MR.

CONTROL AUDIO SEPARATELY FROM YOU AND STREAM

1. For this you will need a VAC (use command !vac).
2. Run your MR either in Chrome or in Ground Control (use command !gc). Note: Do NOT click on SHOW ON STREAM.
3. Set Chrome or GC in the VAC as an audio input and output.
4. Add the audio output from VAC as an audio input in OBS. Note: This will not be able to show the video in OBS.

If so. First thing you could do is refresh the cache of your overlay by opening the source, scroll down to near the bottom and it should say refresh cache

hello all how are you. i was having an issue with my alert box that confuses me a little. the alerts work fine and video and sound all good (using the streamelements alert box with browser capture). But sometimes if the text is more than a few words such as in a sub message it'll cut off the end of the text. so i tried to just make the alert box smaller in the streamelements editor but it just cut off more of it, but if i make it bigger it won't fit in the canvas. The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Hello. This is my first time here. Kappagen seems to be set up properly, but:

• only displays 1 emotes in config preview (Emulate > Emote event > Kappa)
• only displays 2 emotes regardless of trailing value when I launch it from the chat (Chat > !kappagen <emoji> <value>
• When I try to preview from SE dashboard, the browser screen is just white, nothing shown
• Works as expected for other channel events that I have enabled it for

This wasn't happening to me at all last night, or the night before, but for some reason every time I try to start streaming to Twitch, OBS disconnects. It will reconnect for a few seconds, and then immediately disconnects.

it will look like this and show me that it is uploading anywhere from 3000-6000 kb/s -- and then throttles down to zero almost immediately.

how do i change the color of the background of the chat box? I want to make the background invisible but I don't know how. I messed with chat settings a while ago and don't know how to make the background clear

It's in your overlay settings

There should be color options of black, checker and white.

Or you can do custom and mess around with it
