Make sure that you've set your mic in Windows as the default device. Windows sometimes changes that to devices that aren't actively in use.

Don't forget doing the way you suggest your computer will be encoding the stream twice. I let my processor do my stream and my graphics card do the local recording. I have a 3900x and a 2080TI. I'm not sure the minimum required hardware to accomplish that.

you can choose whatever bitrate you want to record with

generally speaking (as there's more than bitrate to quality of recording) a lower bitrate would provide poorer results than a higher bitrate

but the trade off is file size
so you can have 10k bitrate to record with, which will generate large files

or go lower bitrate to generate a smaller file, just record videos with different bitrates and see what you like best

If you want to reset only the follower count, go to the overlay where the counter is, click on "session data" (computer screen icon) on the top right, hit the "session data" tab and set "follower count" to 0.

You can also reach this from your activity feed - click "widget data" to the right.
If I misunderstood you and you want to reset everything, you can just click "reset session" in your activity feed.

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hey so im having a weird issue with audio, i have a wave 3 mic. only game audio isn't working. i checked sound settings on my computer nothing seems to be wrong. i made sure under playback system property: Advanced, that exclusive mode was unchecked. updated my drivers. i made sure that the games on volume mixer on the pc was 100%. Whats weirder is audio will happen when i first boot up the game when the game developers logo comes up or a cut scene, but the title screen and actual game has no audio. it happening to everyone of my games from stream or game pass. i was wondering if it could have something to do with obs.live or if anyone has an idea i can try. i looked this up online and i cant seem to find anything. HELP!!!!!! It was working fine one day and the next day got no audio. never touched or changed anything. im so confused.

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

I've done this like 15 time now, I've restarted chrome, logged out then back in, and even logged in on a different device, and my settings will not save. The SE tip page says success, however the other streamer did not receive donation or an SE alert, and in PayPal the transaction says "unclaimed" - any ideas what this means? I've never seen this before...

Not necessarily. She just has to manually accept the donation. After that, any future donations should go through without any issues.
The thing is, we have nothing to do with PayPal. We just get a notification that someone donated. The money actually never goes through our system

Use the normal x264. If the recording lags, use the other one. But I'm starting to think that your system in general doesn't meet the minimum requirements to run OBS as you don't have any hardware encoder.

SE.Pay - you can see the status on the SE.Pay page. If you did a withdrawal, it will usually arrive in 2-3 business days on your bank account

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

My alerts are coming through and display on stream in SLOBS, but are not showing in chat or in my minifeed when they used to but suddenly stopped working. Follower alerts however work and show fine in minifeed, but everything else doesnt.

Normal OBS Studio is fine. The chat - if integrated into the overlay - will show up. I did refresh everything on our end and tested the chat - works, so you need to refresh the browser source settings in your OBS for that overlay

We can't troubleshoot SLOBS. We have our own OBS plugin called OBS.Live. This also includes the activity feed from our system etc.

And raid and host alerts are deactivated in the chat alerts settings - so the bot will not post it

I am using 2 streamelements overlays at once. One of which has donations, subs and bits on it. The other handle follows, raids and hosts. Each is enabled in its corresponding overlay. Is this what you can see from your end?

If the browser source works in the browser but not in OBS we need to make sure there is nothing stuck in cache and that hardware acceleration is not an issue
