If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hi guys
My alert box stopped working correctly in my last stream. Alerts were appearing in my activity feed, but not actually playing the animations or sounds inside OBS or on twitch. This is also happening with a custom timer widget I have setup in stream elements. I use StreamElements with OBS.live. it has worked fine up until now. However, I have made some changes to my stream recently which are:

• I got a new mic and goXLR and have been playing around with my audio sources in OBS. More specifically, changed them to new sources but they previously had nothing to do with my alerts, and it still has my desktop/system audio in there.

• during the setup process I logged out of my account on OBS.live and was logged into a test account for a while but I did not log out of my account on stream elements.

• they worked when I emulated them from SE website, but not when someone performed an action to trigger an alert.

If someone tipped you via OUR link, there is a handover event coming from PayPal, when they verify the tip has successfully happened fully.
In order for this hand over event to happen, your account and the tipper's account needs to be fully verified

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

You can setup an alert duration of 1 second, but just remove the audio file, iamge and text message that shows the regular sub

Minimum is 2 seconds, but I'm afraid it will desync it. I've got 2 layers, one for full screen alerts (gifted subs) and one for smaller movable alerts (normal subs). How do I make sure se always takes the normal subs alert and not the 2 second hidden one?

Both can play at the same time

meaning that you need to sync up the duration between the 2 alert widgets

if the full screen alert is the one playing the proper sub alert

and it has a 15 second duration

then the "hidden" alert widget with the gifted sub only variation, needs to have a 'matching' setting - only in duration, but removed assets and text

full screen alert widget should also have a similar gifted variation

and have IT not show any assets such as images, sound and text

but share the same duration

So to any staff here, I was having issues yesterday, and then a few days before, with the bot not responding to any commands that require it to send a chat message back. Other commands would work, like for instance, you could give people points, but it wouldn't let you check your follow age.

You need to adjust the variables in the alert text settings. [amount] will usually display the amount of months.
Our variations can be based on tiers or months, so you need to choose the correct option.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Depends on the game. For static maps like in LoL people just put an image over the screen. For dynamic maps - not really, you could bind the key to trigger the map cover with the same button, but that is a janky workaround at best

There are multiple reasons for it:
Browser sources take time to load and they eat more performance
With a dual PC it will be really tricky to set up, you would use an additional input device
And so on

with OBS you can just add a source and map the hotkey to the same key as the map key ingame (M, Tab whatever)

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

!Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

I have the same problem. I managed to update a command but now when the bot is parted it talks the old command when it is joined it says the old and the new command

The bot is not departing from the channel. It's not listed in the Viewer List. It still does commands even if you have disabled them.
