Hey. I´ve got a question. Ive been trying to go from Slobs to all on Stream Elements for 1week now but i always run into problems. Now for example i need help with donation settings. i set up 4 variatons , each playing at atleast a minimum amount, like 1+, 5+, 10+, 15+problem is they dont work. The normal one works , 1 - 5 but the 5-10 or 10-15 ones dont work, they just give me a dancing shark, 15+ works again. Why does it have to be so weird

if I create a brand new overlay with the "Trigon Static Super Theme" from your theme gallery, there are broken images in missing from the brand new themes. Something is very broken. 😩

I have many labels and icons in the top bar on my status page (customized from the trigon super scene). Ultimately, I wanted to group all of the elements in the top bar together so I can move them all as one

Since there isn't an easy way to move multiple elements at once, I had the (brilliant?) idea to group the single elements, move them into the status bar group, and then ungroup them there

I must have been doing it quickly and not realized that it didn't behave as expected and saved the scene.. so I'm hoping it's recoverable

its definitely an edge case... I first tried to select multiple elements but when dragging them, only the one you click on moves

It happened last night... I have uploaded custom images to match the them for other services and have rearranged a lot of the text labels. It happened last night (maybe 18 hours ago.. when I first reported it here)

I don't think I saved it again once I noticed that things disappeared when I moved a sub goal widget

actually, I saved it once more because one of the labels was missing... so, I added another label, so there's is at least one additional save. It wouldn't be painful to revert it back a week or even a month. It would be a few hours of time to recreate without access to layer positioning

hmmm, maybe I can actually duplicate quite a few layers and save some time.. estimating is hard

My streamelements bot is still in the room. How is that possible? i changed the name and the new name bot is in the chat and so is the streamelements bot. It's up to you basically. This is a bug on the front end.
Indeed an edge case as you are the only reporter of this.
In order to attempt any recovery of the overlay we'll need to access the database, which will indeed revert all the changes you've made since this happened.
Could you provide me with an estimated (or exact) timestamp of when this happened? if you reported it here right away, then this should be good
and you'll need to understand that if we're able to revert to the version of the overlay with the assets you've lost, 1. it will take time (can't provide an ETA) and 2. everything you've done since will be gone @edgy inlet

As a long time dev myself, I appreciate all this and totally understand... reverting that one overlay back a couple days (i hadn't made changes for about a week to it, so going back a few days is safe) and I could easily make a couple small changes I was doing yesterday and then take the slower route to group those elements so I can move them as a whole. If that's a painful process on your end, i could probably endure the hour or two here

I've been trying to use a video with audio, and every time I port it to obs with the link, the image intended to be visible is only showing the top left corner. No matter what I do for aspect ratio and whatnot. It's driving me insane. So what do?

Not sure what you meant? I want to use TTS in my alerts to read out the text I have specified, It wont do that for my Subscriber alert at all. It just spews out either "Howdy my name is Bill" or a stupid quote about "dank memes" which would probably be funny or cool if I was 12. How can I delete those text strings so they won't be read aloud? Any idea? Otherwise I have TTS working on my other alerts, just not Subscribers

Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction. If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

I don't know where to put this. I tried having a video pop up in the mini map for a follower alert. I've a mask on the overlay to fit the video into the map. because I'm using a mask, having everything on one layout won't work if i want the text to be legible and positioned elsewhere. I'd like the video to play in the mini map, and text showing up rotated 90 degrees to line the right side. Problem is you can't have more than one lay out or alert on obs with stream elements. Just cancels the other out. And the way the interface is set up, I can't adjust the texts orientation separately. any suggestions?

I'm having difficulty with getting raid alerts to show up. Previously I had a simple alert box setup with all alerts checked. Upon getting raided, I would only see a host alert. When I emulate the alerts in stream elements, everything works fine on OBS. I turned on the streamelements bot recently to see what the chat messages give me. Yesterday, I got raided and again the alert showed up as a host. When I look at my chat, streamelements bot had a message about host, but not raid. I checked my activity feed in OBS and I see a raid and host activity. Does anybody have any idea why my raid alerts and raid bot messages aren't showing?

2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

@sage forge 10 minutes of watch time is given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled to watch time to work properly.
There is no direct link between watch time and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the number of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in the chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user do not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

I'm using Streamelements chat games (duel, roulette, etc.) and I have one big problem with roulette. Year ago roulette worked for everybody (regulars, mods, subs) but now it only works for moderators. I went into settings but only settings I can change are "minimum roulette amount, individual and global cooldown".

Weird thing is that even 3 minutes cooldown for individual user doesn't work (they can use roulette like every 10 sec)

Is here anybody who had same issue and figured it out?

Hi, I'm having problems with follower alerts. Sub alerts work, bits alerts work, but I've get nothing for new followers - no pop up on stream, no notification in chat or in my activity feed. They're live, they work when I test them, I've got notify in chat on. It's getting embarrassing now.

@inland vigil Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Not sure if this is the place to ask, but I'm having issues with importing my Nightbot commands into StreamElements. I click "Import" and select "Nightbot" (while logged into my Nightbot Dashboard on the other tab). This causes a pop-out window to verify/authorize my nightbot to give access to StreamElements. I click "Authorize, and then the window closes. However none of my commands/timers are in StreamElements. Ideas?

Should work, there are no known issues with the Nightbot import. I would suggest to disable Adblock/Ublock and other plugins and clear cache and cookies

I didn't understand what you're using to stream. OBS Studio + OBS.Live plugin?
if so, you don't need to use Ground Control, and for the custom bot name to apply - OBS.Live needs to be open.

Hello there! My overlay still won't show alerts for new followers. I set it up exactly the same way as donations, which do show up. New followers only show in an increase in the overall count. Any idea how I can fix that?

Yes. There are 2 things you need to consider - the overall overlay size (which is 1920x1080 by default) and the alertbox widget size in the overlay.

Additionally, they have no plans on allowing OBS in trusted mode.

Steps:

1. Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings
3. Click on Enable Custom Font
4. Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

@grim niche 10 minutes of watch time is given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled to watch time to work properly.
There is no direct link between watch time and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the number of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in the chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user do not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

ok so pick a spot on the greenscreen thats not got a hot spot (for example the right of you in that image had a big hotspot) but also isnt to dark, then tweak the similarity from there, turn down smoothness aswell otherwise it could swallow all of the image, you will see what i mean when playing with it

yeah I can see the difference on the 2 sides. I changed the light temperatures a bit so they match. it's still coming out gray though. most programs will have at least some leeway with color matching but this only ever comes out as gray for me
