  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

@winter fiber If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I've viewed many of those introductory videos but 1) The program looks different now and 2) In the video the person can edit their info into the overlay. I don't know where/how to do that with the themes. They're setup differently now than what's shown on the video.

@tough tartan 10 minutes of watch time is given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled to watch time to work properly.
There is no direct link between watch time and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the number of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in the chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user do not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

@fiery ravine If you've got OBS.Live installed click the dropdown menu for that. Otherwise it would be under View > Docks. If it doesn't show there you need to disconnect and reconnect in settings > stream.

In OBS I'm showing no dropped frames, bitrate's solid the whole time, and I first noticed the issue when I was playing CoD, so I dropped graphics to about the lowest settings and the issue persisted. Then I played Fall Guys, Rocket League, and the same thing happens. A choppy, stuttering mess on my stream.

The max percentage my CPU usage hits is 83% and it really became an issue when I got my 2nd monitor. I'm assuming it's a graphical issue with my card, but wanted to see if anyone knew any decent fixes? I've tried running it at 720 on both the game and in OBS, but it's still a prevalent issue.

Hello, everyone! I'd really need and appreciate some help, can't really seem to solve this after many days of testing and attempts.
The issue: Mic clips from time to time and I can't find out why.
What I tried: lowering the gain, removing the Cloudlifter-CL1 from the audio chain, turning off all of the dbx 286s filters, checked out the cables, checked out the power source.
The audio chain I have: Rode Procaster microphone -> Cloudlifter-CL1 -> Dbx 286s -> Audient ID14 Audio Interface -> Computer.
My audio sometimes goes over the -10dB level in OBS, I don't have any filters in OBS, only the ones from the DBX.

@candid prairie Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard, and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterward, but not a list of settings.

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

  • Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
  • Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
  • Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hey, i have a Problem, Streamelements Bot has worked perfect until this afternoon. Now the Bot ist just noch chatting anymore. So Commands are not working anymore. I tried to disconnect the Bot from my Channel and than reconnect it again. Didnt help. Commands like !title and !game are just not working anymore. The Nightbot isnt chatting either. "Wasted" is a bit of a strong word for someone spending some bits to get a sound effect, is it not? The fact that our system cannot see an activity in someone else's system is normal. Twitch doesn't send that information through an API, so we need to get it through the chat. No chat message, no way for our system to know.

So I am still having issues where the SE bot won't respond to commands. I have removed the bot from the channel and gave it permission again. I have logged out and back in on everything, I.E. SE, Twitch. I have tried everything SE F.A.Q.s have directed me to do. I posted a help request earlier and have gotten no response. I have to create a second command? Plus NO enabled command is working, I.E. !so !lurk and so on. I have had to enable another chat bot to use in my chat but I switched from that to use SE. All of this worked at the beginning of the week and then slowly died off. First it was the giveaway and then the rest of the commands. If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

@lost ginkgo you can !setpoints NUMBER or !givepoints to share from your own points, or !addpoints to give users points
make sure the amounts are not absolutely insane (199999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 for example), and that each command is set for the desired user level

Account Merging - Please note:

  • Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
  • Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
  • Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member

My alerts used to work great, but now they only fire off about 1 in 10 events. Usually I have to refresh the cache of the page, then the next follow/raid/sub will fire off an alert and then it will be broken again. Any way to get some info on what's going wrong and how I can try to debug or fix this? OBS logs don't really have anything to say here.

You can do complete browser source cache purge by clearing this directory: %AppData%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\Cache

If you have monitor and output - you should hear them, if you set monitor only - only you should be able to hear them (unless they are played on same monitoring device as desktop audio),

So sound is caught by OBS, it registers it and pushes to stream. I think this may be something with your system or OBS that the sound is not being played by device you selected
